UN Spacy Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Does anyone on MW know where I can find the Region 2 release on DVD (that include subtitles)? I've seen it on animenation.com but there's NO way that I'm paying $70 for a friggin DVD. Lemme know if someone has it on DVD. THX! • Spoken Languages - Japanese• Subtitle Languages - None • Running Time - 152 • Region - 2 • NTSC -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- » Description Street Fighter die-hards can now get the full, uncut version of the 1994 Street Fighter II anime movie in widescreen DVD! Kamui 777 Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 I was interested, but I've NEVER seen a region 2 with English subtitles. Or were just looking for R2 with subtitles. Quote
Agent ONE Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 No Van Damme = Not a good Street Fighter Quote
j_wong00 Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Maybe a R0 version is close to being released. Quote
Hoptimus Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Oh man I would love that. I have a bad VHS from Laserdisc fansubbed copy but it is about toast now. Quote
EXO Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 No Van Damme = Not a good Street Fighter Man this Street Fighter was way better than that Van Damme catastrophe... Ming Na was sweet as Chun Li though... but seriously, this Street Fighter had awesome animation. Quote
kanedaestes Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 best animated movie or movie in general based off a game, stuck truthfully to the feel and story of the game, i haven't seen it any where, you may want to try animekrazy.com, or animearigato.com, or aniespectrum.com, they usually have excellent hard to find stuff for an extremely reasonable price. kanedaestes Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 oh sorry, i meant animespectrum.com, i hope you caught that. Quote
wakobi Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Hey i've got that UK version! It's basically an uncut version of the original U.S release (e.g. full chun-li shower scene and extra dubbed profanity). No Japanese audio track though It also has the 'special' European soundtrack too Quote
Sam Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 nothing to do with this thread (except it's SFII related) but check out this awesome Cammy statue... awesome statue, looks like it even has eyelashes? Quote

European soundtrack? WHAT THE?!?!?!?! Someone's gotta have this movie on DVD. Quote
areaseven Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 BUT. Isn't the original U.S. release also edited? The U.S. release was initially available in two versions: PG-13 and unrated. The PG-13 version takes out the bloody scenes and has controlled language. The unrated version is missing bits and pieces of Chun-Li's shower scene, despite its claim of being uncut. Hoptimus Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 The worst part of the US version is the lame redone score and soundtrack. Makes me wanna puke. Quote
Jemstone Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 The worst part of the US version is the lame redone score and soundtrack. Makes me wanna puke. That I agree except for the fact they used KMFDM for the Chun Li vs "Vega" fight was a good thing. It went really well with the fight. Quote
