jipe Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 Hi, I bought some days ago a model kit on ebay. The auction well said that it was a recast of a Club M model kit, and all the pieces are present. In fact some parts are missing from the original Club M model kit (no parts for the gerwalk version, no gun, no decals.... ) Yes, I can make this kit as fighter version only. But is it normal ? Do you think a recast should contain all the parts of the original kit ? (I guess it would ) Quote
mslz22 Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 Unless I am mistaken no Club M kits came as a multi mode kit, in fact most should be fighter only, and if it was the 21 the 21 has no gun. as for decals, most recasts do not come with decals unless specified that they are included....... Quote
Lo-pan Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 (edited) Recast: any copy of a kit not produced by the original or licensed manufacturer. In other words, if it's a Club-M kit, but isn't from Club-M, it's a recast. As for Club-M parts, their Macross fighters came with resin pieces, white metal landing gear, vacu-form canopies, and decals. Some other odds and ends may have been white metal as well, depending on the kit in question. As far as I'm aware, only the VF-4 had a non-fighter configuration option, and that was only for Gerwalk.
