Ghost in the Shell Live Action - March 31, 2017

"Anime News Network reports that Production I.G, the studio that produced all of Ghost in the Shell's adaptations into anime (the two movies and the three Stand Alone Complex works) has received permission to develop a Hollywood adaptation of the Masamume Shirow created cyborg sci-fi. A new contract with rights holder Kodansha allows Production I.G. to represent the creators and negotiate distribution of a live action film." Man I pray it will be good! -
This went out over Twitter and stumped most of us since this sounded like a cash grab (and likely still is cuz really, they're doing this AGAIN...). But then this came out a few hours later: Robert Downey Jr. to Join Captain America 3′ (EXCLUSIVE) And we put the 2 together. So we're likely going down the road of Civil War for #3.

Coming to theaters on April 15, 2016 is Disney's live-action adaptation of their beloved animated classic The Jungle Book, directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man 1-2, Cowboys & Aliens). Only because they've announced it at SDCC 2012... For those that are not familiar the "Winter Soldier", I'd suggest some light reading of Captain America Vol. 1: Winter Soldier-graphic novel. Or just look it up on Wikipedia.

Starring Scarlett Johansson as an alien life form that travels through Scotland to seduce random men and then kill them. Don't know if this even sees a wide release, but the trailer evokes some nice Lynch/Asian Horror Cinema moments.
