  1. MJ... Looks freeeakin' awesome! Please consider writing it up for SSM.com too. The weathering is excellent. By the way, I'm getting to be a big BSG fan. The new series really got me into it. I still love the old Cylon Raiders better than the new ones. Separately, I'm working through my Finemolds Slave 1 for the SSM Star Wars contest. I'll post pics soon.
  2. Please cue the Guns 'N Roses song Patience. Need a little Patience Yeah Yeah Just a Little Patience Yeah Yeah
  3. I can't confirm until I see the scratchbuild. But rest assured... if it is quality scratch, then I will be in for one.
  4. Yep... just messin' with ya. It's pent up angst from being picked on for being model kit builders... we have to pick on someone else!
  5. whoooah... ya got me. Now go play with your toys.
  6. amen, brother... let the kids play with there toys while daddy works with his kits
  7. Bariaburu Faita, I thought they limited how much you could by at Wonderfest usually. That's the impression I got from Noel's posts in the past.
  8. is this for the Hasegawa YF-19? Looks larger than the one that comes with the Club-M version. your opinions?
  9. are you guys going to canibalize Valkyrie's Konig if you move ahead with this project?
  10. I could tell you were sweating, G72!
  11. just curious... no reason to get ancy. I'm just saying if there is a resin kit and a polystyrene kit of the same subject (assuming similar quality, which I'm sure yours will be much better) then I would chose Polystyrene every time. Easier to work with, no pinning necessary, etc.
  12. gotta find out more info on this. Will the sculpt be more complex than the existing Polystyrene offering in 1.72nd scale? Poseable legs are nice, but $125 nice? Are you sure there would be a market because you can get that one for less than $125 bones and you don't have to deal with resin. I know these are not as common, but you can find them occasionally.
  13. Wow... as much pain as that guy caused you in life, MJ still stickin' up for Tanmen. You're a pretty admirable guy, MJ.
  14. emailed ya~
  15. amen brother. i'm a monsterholic too. I have conflicting feelings about SMT. The stuff they make is great when you finally get it. Colin seems like a very nice guy too. And frankly, we need some good casters out there like SMT. So I want to be really encouraging. But like everyone else... I get frustrated when he bites off more than he can chew.
  16. Thanx for the offer but I have to put it on the back burner for a little bit because of last nites spending splurge! I got the VF-0B, VF-0D, SV-51 Ivanov and a 1/48 F/A-18C...all Hasegawa goodness...so I've busted my monthly budget Cheers Damian No problem. Let me know if any of you out there want this one (I'd rather it go to a Macrossworld fan). My "To build" pile is too high and I already did one VF-4, so I might sell the other one.
  17. Here's the pieces parts of my VF-4
  18. yep... very frustrated on this one. I have $150 sunk into this and have been waiting since June of last year.
  19. That is exactly mine (well not actually mine). That's a Valkyrie recast... I can tell by the quality of the resin. I can take a picture of mine if you'd like. Here is the one I finished.
  20. Talk to Valkyrie. If not, I have an extra one I might sell ya for $70 shipped.
  21. heh heh... greedy grayson doesn't have enough in his "To Build" pile? just kiddin' G72!
  22. I hate variable kits, but that's because I don't play with my models. I want them sturdy. Besides, you can't tell me any of the variable kits look as nice as the non-variable. The only exception I could think of is the IHP Monster... but even that one I'm planning on building in a fixed position... not messing around with screws I'll never use. just my opinion.
  23. run the other direction. Buy wisely... don't need to have six of every model.
  24. Frankly, the last couple of time they had this sale... there really hasn't been anything great. Some general Tamiya Armor or an occasional Academy Pavehawk is good, but nothin' else. Absolutely No sci-fi (except the usual from Polar lights... but how sick of Star Trek are you?) or anime. Even the Academy 1/32nd scale F-18 is priced at $144, which even at half price is more than you can get it for at Squadron.com.
  25. as dick vitale would say... "AWESOME BABY" or "Its a Diaper Dandy, BABY!"
