My friend once went out with Robotech... all he remembers from that night is having a few drinks at the bar, then blacking out, and waking up with no clothing in a cornfield in Iowa. His wallet was gone, but next to him was a summons to appear in court.

You should make an Anti-UN Mig-29 next (the poor one that gets shot down by the Shin-Tomcat)

Does Yamato make stuff in China to leverage lower labor costs? Bears sh!t in the woods Does Yamato make a big margin on each valk? I admit playing through Project Sylpheed 4 times already.... started my 5th last evening. This, in spite of every gaming fiber of my body telling me it's a bad game. We just need more space-fighter sims which went out of fashion it seems... every gamer nowadays seems to want to pretend to be a special ops guy with an M-4 with attached scope, nade launcher, and can opener.

Sequels that we DON'T want to see!!
Ghost Train replied to taksraven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I think calling it Independence Day II sounds kind of stupid, what's the tag-line going to be ID4-2? Why not call it Labor Day, New Years Day, or Thanksgiving... I think that will be better. -
From the soundtrack of EVE Online, absolutely beautiful, must listen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KLWeMFWv0o

Ghost Train replied to Mari-ja's topic in Movies and TV Series
Yeah.... when I saw "30 anniversary of Macross 7" I thought that I had gone into an extra long sleep last night and woke up 25 years in the future >_< .... and the same people are still posting on MWF. -

As a master multi-tasker or serious-ADHD sufferer (depends on perspective) I would watch Gurrenn Lagan, BSG, and The Lesbian at the same time.... -
Sequels that we DON'T want to see!!
Ghost Train replied to taksraven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I will pitch this awesome idea for a movie I had from a dream last night /(cough) ok... (sounds of gunfire set across a desolate city ravaged by war, a lone soldier runs for cover) 2XXX AD .... In a distant battlefield in the middle east. .... In a world ravaged by war and global warming .... the people called out for a hero. (the soldier thinks he's hallucinating, a strange animal like figure emerges from beyond the horizon in front of the setting sun) In 2010, GET READY FOR VENGEANCE! BAMBI V: INSURRECTION (F-22's fly overhead leaving a smoke trail of red, white, and blue) Freedom isn't free.... In IMAX Where available. -
Do you think Yamato will release new 1/48 line with ver2 material and
Ghost Train replied to gwfalcon's topic in Toys
After they finish generating every random permutation of re-coloring for the 1/60 VF-1's yea... they will probably revisit 1/48's. There are 256^3 = 16,777,216 possible hexadecimal color values so we might have to wait a long time lol! TASTE TEH RAINBOW.... In all seriousness though, I would like a revisit of the 1/48 series. Since they are larger, it will probably be easier to keep things within design tolerance&specification and hence more quality and less prone to breakage? Don't know, just quotting from my engineering textbook . -

I find it disturbing that you can spend day&night rewatching Gurren lagann >_< .... -
It's statistically hard to do an accurate Gaius/Six as Six is quite taller than Baltar (no offense to the ladies). In other news, I once tried to get my girl to cosplay Tohsaka Rin ... she caught on pretty quick, did not work >_< .

I'm also a Halloween Grinch, I've made conscious attempts to neither assist or partake in the celebrations. The number of 20+ year olds dressing up and trick a treating is astounding. Some of these people need to grow up. I would say the event is irrelevant to the human species. ... but it continues because like all other fake-holidays it's a big economic draw. For instance, since Valentines day was not enough, corporate America had to invent "Sweetest Day" as well. I stopped by a local pharmacy to pick up some up some supplies on Friday, but had to wait in line like 20 minutes from people buying random decorations, candy, and other stupid junk.

New shots on NgeeKhiong for Geara Zulu: ... a Zaku that looks like a Helghan soldier with a futuristic Kalashnikov: epic win. Note the extra ammo clips.

Heldensagen vom Kosmosinsel Fleet File
Ghost Train replied to Retracting Head Ter Ter's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
LoGH capital ships are just so neat imo. I used to play EVE Online a lot (I normally just re-activate my accounts during the summer and play for a few months), and can't help but think that there are quite a few LoGH fans at CCP: The Rokh: The Hyperion: (Though it looks nothing like Yang WeLin's flagship, I can't help but wonder) -
2012 - The end is coming........again!
Ghost Train replied to taksraven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
ID4 IS somewhat entertaining if your brain goes into hibernate. Having stated that assumption, my main complaint about the movie is the use of F-18's... I mean I can understand not using the F-14 because Top Gun has pretty much monopolized the plan, and the F-16 because of the lesser known Iron Eagle franchise... but why not the F-15? Since they were Marine pilots anyways, would have been better even with Harriers. -

I didn't know these existed .... Thanks for posting. Though they are awfully pricy. -
Because I had craploads of homework, and work related stuff to finish up this was mostly a working-weekend for me. Since I'm on a tight-recession budget I didn't buy any candy. I just turned off all the lights in my apt., leaving only my desk lamp on as to pretend I wasn't home ... damm... I hate trick o treaters.

I have a few pieces of anime-related clothing as well (including one of those ridiculous DBZ Hawaiian-styled shirts), but have never worn them. On the outside I must retain an image that is otaku/geek-free . It's more fun being a closet otaku. It's a secret I share only between me and myself. Though my gf is aware of my animu loving tendencies, surprisingly she is pretty cool with it.

With the advent of Cloud Computing, the average human looses more and more of their own natural ability to think, remember, and solve problems. Half of my co-workers will probably not be able to figure out the way to drive home if their GPS went down. Kids these day don't do homework anymore... they just plagiarize it from teh interwebz. Google is the problem. Welcome to skynet.

Looks a bit weird... think I shall pass. If I want smaller scale figures, I'd prefer to pay more for GN-U's.
