  1. The GM's will ban their accounts for h4xing in no time!
  2. I haven't seen the movie yet... but is Michelle Rodriguez the chopper pilot? If so, I tend to agree, she seems to be boxed into the "tough latina" role a lot ... she plays pretty much the same character in Fast&Furious franchise and LOST.
  3. Lol the next PGA game should have a SUV-driving mini games where you avoid obstacles in the suburban obstacle course.
  4. It'd be cool if they stopped fiddling with the VF-1, and focused on er.... say making a VF-4?
  5. Hehe... strangely magnetic tapes (of which ancient cassettes tapes belong to) are still quite commonly used for data storage and backup. Loading all of your company's backed up data into a truck and driving it to a storage facility provides much greater data throughput than sending crap digitally over a network... though this throughput is not particularly useful for situations other than backup & restoration.
  6. halp.... moe.... overload, can't ..... breathe
  7. Hmm... I don't think the generic 50+ missiles you carry in Ace Combat have ever specifically been referred to as Sidewinders, maybe I'm wrong.
  8. Dear Santa, How have you been able to evade NORAD for 50+ years! ... and how can you make all those deliveries in 1 night? According to our best Earth scientists, you would have to travel 160 million km overall (greater than the distance from the earth to the sun). Have you figured out a way to travel near the speed of light? http://www.fnal.gov/pub/ferminews/santa/ - Ghost Train P.S. I have been a good boy this year - for Christmas I want a Max/Millia VF-22S, PG 00-Raiser, and world-peace.
  9. I just wish the economy continues on a positive note, so my full time job offer for summer of 2010 does not get rescinded.... also that I don't fail any of my classes next semester. (Maybe a Max VF-22 too )
  10. There are 2 types of Gundam markers used for panel-lining. One has a thicker tip. The gray (or black, can't remember lol) one is GM21-200. This works kind of like a wash. Fill the panel line, and wipe off the excess with a non-abrasive cloth. The excess ink rubs right off clean if you do it within a minute. The other type of marker, and a representative one of the same color is GM02-200. It has an ultra-thin tip, and feels more like you're using a pen or pencil. Both types rub off easily with a cloth if done fast, and can also be rubbed off via rubbing alcohol. G-markers are great for novice model building, but once you start to work with other types of paints they react somewhat strangely and inconsistently, so I would suggest graduating to some sort of enamel wash . However, G-markers will probably work fine with toys with the error-correction methods I described above. Note: I don't take responsibility for wrecking yammies. Good luck
  11. Guys.... we are winning the war! (According to the Skynet, aka Google) Macross v Robotech Google Fight
  12. I run Windows XP on my macbook because I'm mentally ill.
  13. I would be Shadow Chronicles, because only a full length feature film can capture the awesomeness of Ghost Train.
  14. I remember reading somewhere that Frontier actually aired quite late at night in its original run, which would corroborate this... anyone can confirm? Google is failing me now.

  19. Got this wonderful e-mail today, made my fracking day: Actual exchanges between pilots and control towers Tower: "Delta 351, you have traffic at 10 o'clock, 6 miles!" Delta 351: "Give us another hint! We have digital watches!" Tower: "TWA 2341, for noise abatement turn right 45 Degrees." TWA 2341: "Center, we are at 35,000 feet. How much noise can we make up here?" Tower: "Sir, have you ever heard the noise a 747 makes when it hits a 727?" From an unknown aircraft waiting in a very long takeoff queue: "I'm f.....ing bored!" Ground Traffic Control: "Last aircraft transmitting, identify yourself immediately!" Unknown aircraft: "I said I was f...ing bored, not f....ing stupid!" O'Hare Approach Control to a 747: "United 329 heavy, your traffic is a Fokker, one o'clock, three miles, Eastbound." United 329: "Approach, I've always wanted to say this...I've got the little Fokker in sight." A student became lost during a solo cross-country flight. While attempting to locate the aircraft on radar, ATC asked, "What was your last known position?" Student: "When I was number one for takeoff." A DC-10 had come in a little hot and thus had an exceedingly long roll out after touching down. San Jose, Ca, Tower Noted: "American 751, make a hard right turn at the end of the runway, if you are able. If you are not able, take the Guadeloupe exit off Highway 101, make a right at the lights and return to the airport." A Pan Am 727 flight, waiting for start clearance in Munich , overheard the following: Lufthansa (in German): "Ground, what is our start clearance time?" Ground (in English): "If you want an answer you must speak in English." Lufthansa (in English): "I am a German, flying a German airplane, in Germany . Why must I speak English?" Unknown voice from another plane (in a beautiful British accent): "Because you lost the bloody war!" Tower: "Eastern 702, cleared for takeoff, contact Departure on frequency 124.7" Eastern 702: "Tower, Eastern 702 switching to Departure. By the way, after we lifted off we saw some kind of dead animal on the far end of the runway." Tower: "Continental 635, cleared for takeoff behind Eastern 702, contact Departure on frequency 124.7. Did you copy that report from Eastern 702?" Continental 635: "Continental 635, cleared for takeoff, roger; and yes, we copied Eastern.... we've already notified our caterers." One day the pilot of a Cherokee 180 was told by the tower to hold short of the active runway while a DC-8 landed. The DC-8 landed, rolled out, turned around, and taxied back past the Cherokee. Some quick-witted comedian in the DC-8 crew got on the radio and said,"What a cute little plane. Did you make it all by yourself?" The Cherokee pilot, not about to let the insult go by, came back with a real zinger: "I made it out of DC-8 parts. Another landing like yours and I'll have enough parts for another one." The German air controllers at Frankfurt Airport are renowned as a short-tempered lot. They not only expect one to know one's gate parking location, but how to get there without any assistance from them. So it was with some amusement that we (a Pan Am 747) listened to the following exchange between Frankfurt ground controland a British Airways 747, call sign Speedbird 206. Speedbird 206: " Frankfurt , Speedbird 206! clear of active runway." Ground: "Speedbird 206. Taxi to gate Alpha One-Seven." The BA 747 pulled onto the main taxiway and slowed to a stop. Ground: "Speedbird, do you not know where you are going?" Speedbird 206: "Stand by, Ground, I'm looking up our gate location now." Ground (with quite arrogant impatience): "Speedbird 206, have you not been to Frankfurt before?" Speedbird 206 (coolly): "Yes, twice in 1944, but it was dark, -- And I didn't land." While taxiing at London 's Airport, the crew of a US Air flight departing for Ft. Lauderdale made a wrong turn and came nose to nose with a United 727.. An irate female ground controller lashed out at the US Air crew, screaming: "US Air 2771, where the hell are you going? I told you to turn right onto Charlie taxiway! You turned right on Delta! Stop right there. I know it's difficult for you to tell the difference between C and D, but get it right!" Continuing her rage to the embarrassed crew, she was now shouting hysterically: "God! Now you've screwed everything up! It'll take forever to sort this out! You stay right there and don't move till I tell you to! You can expect progressive taxi instructions in about half an hour, and I want you to go exactly where I tell you, when I tell you, and how I tell you! You got that, US Air 2771?" "Yes, ma'am," the humbled crew responded. Naturally, the ground control communications frequency fell terribly silent after the verbal bashing of US Air 2771. Nobody wanted to chance engaging the irate ground controller in her current state of mind.. Tension in every cockpit out around Gatwick was definitely running high. Just then an unknown pilot broke the silence and keyed his microphone, asking: "Wasn't I married to you once?"
  20. QFT! The most ancient of all engineering principles, GIGO: Garbage In, Garbage Out Personally, I love the boxy-utilitarian UC designs the best (my fav are MSV's). The trend SEED onward of, "OMG LOOK AT ME, I G0T 4 M4SS1V3 SW0RD AND I'M ON A B0AT!!! WIIINGS OF LIIIIIIGHT!!!! " I find to be most annoying. In conclusion, Bandai needs to make kits for the more tactical looking MS, like this:
  21. Just a minor technical note, the nukes used in the show are not "nuclear" per say, but just a very strong conventional-munition. It's called a N-2 bomb.
  22. On a related note, which decade do you guys like the best ? I was born in '81, so I kind of remember the 80's.... I still think the late 1990's was the most awesome part of history. - The DJIA broke 10,000 for the first time - The dot-com era was in full swing and a lot of new (fake) wealth was being created, but it laid the foundation for our current internet infrastructure - Winters were cold & summers were hot - Everyone was pimpin around in their massive Esss-uuuu-veees. Perhaps I'm influenced by personal bias, but 1999 was the most awesome year ever. I just received my acceptance to one of the best public Uni's in the US (University of Michigan Ann Arbor), so I could just chill and relax during my last semester in high school - and I even placed as a quarterfinalist in the State debate tournament. It was just a very relaxed, successful, and care-free time for me. Aside from that, this was also the console gaming revival era. I had a blast playing games in PSX, Dreamcast, and N64. Most importantly of all... it was around this time where I was re-introduced to Macross through Macross+ and 7.
  23. I am on the Universal Century Calender.
  24. Appending to my answer: Most influential person: Steve Jobs. Don't get me wrong, I hate Apple with a passion, and the only i-brand I own is an I-pod nano. However, I cannot ignore the indelible effects of its brainwashing good marketing and product development strategy.
  25.
