  1. In "semi" Chronological Order if you wanna do it "historically" These First three intertwine, and describe the OYW saga: -(The First) Mobile Suit Gundam -08th MS Team -MS Igloo -0080 -0083 -Zeta -ZZ -Char's Counter Attack -Gundam UC (this is ongoing) -Mobile Suit Gundam F-91 -Mobile Suit Victory Gundam -G-Saviour (watch this one at your own risk )
  2. I really can't wait until this part makes it to the anime, perhaps then I'll start re-watching Bleach again: Ninja Edit: spoilers but unspoiled now.
  3. Siince DYRL is the movie within the TV series, the comparison above makes perfect sense to me. The real life Misa was probably a fairly normal looking woman. But when you're making the movie version of actual events you want to bring in a gorgeous actress . It's like Sandra Bullock playing Leigh Anne Tuohy and Julia Roberts playing Erin Brokovich. (Admittedly these aren't great examples, as the two actual real people in question are actually not that bad looking)
  4. My local hobby supply stores seem to be really low on Testors Modelmaster Acrylics which have always been my preferred paint of choice. I bought a bottle of Pollyscale to test, and thus far I love the results. I admit that I've avoided any supplies with a "railroad inclination" because it conjures up images of old crusty guys playing with trains, but I was seriously impressed by the paint. Worked great with brushing and airbrushing, though I tested with "Power Black" and darker colors have always been easier to paint. Of course, the downside is that the color selection and naming convention is more geared towards railroad stuff, but I'm sure some of it is adaptable for planes, Gundams, valkyries and what not.
  5. Game Informer is the propaganda / information warfare / counter-insurgency wing of Gamestop .
  6. 1985: Robotech, The Macross Saga 2010: Astroplan Progress... yes we can.
  7. Love the color scheme as well with the exception the big "TEST" written on the legs >_< .
  8. 1988: Legend of the Galactic Heroes 2010: The legend of the legendary heroes !
  9. "Resident Evil" does sound so much better than "Biohazard" though!
  10. The best animation era was 10,000 B.C where artists showed what they got by painting on cave walls and sh!t. There was no moe, fanservice, traps, and all that garbage, just different variations of a robot hunting an evil caribou.
  11. I totally dig the new "animation" trend set by Bakemonogatari, where you have 10% animation and 90% stills.
  12. I might be biased since I do remember the 1980's very well, but due to geographic constrains at the time I saw all of the 1970's stuff in the 1980's, and all the awesome 80's stuff in the 90's (except Macross). For instance, I saw Honneamise in '99, and even then I thought that it was a superb work... in fact when CG when first came into the scene, it actually seemed somewhat cheap and low quality to me. But that just proves it's a matter of perception and personal tastes. Having said that... my opinion of the current generation of "young people", mostly those born in the final years of the 1980's and early 90's who are probably moving out on their own, attending college, and what not, is generally low. This is a generation of people with self induced ADD. These are my observations from working part time as a lab tech while finishing up my masters: - They go to the library to study, but spend 99% of that time on Facebook. - They take their laptop to lecture to take notes, but are logged onto WoW. - They don't like solving problems on their own, since tech support is available. - They don't take the effort to solve a problem and think critically, because Google is at their fingertips. - They don't evaluate things for their usefulness, they just own sh!t that Steve Jobs tells them to. As such, their opinions should be taken with a grain of salt. Grandpa Simpson, signing off...
  13. Now that LOST is over (for now), here is my attempt at the ultimate Abramsverse story that will never happen for legal reasons In the 15th century, Italian renaissance mane Rimbaldi discovers "The Island" in the Mediterranean and through complex mathematics determines the location of the "heart," which is a natural repository of a powerful element with the ability to disrupt space time. In solving Rimbaldi's mystery, in the 21st century, rogue agent Sloan uses this element to achieve immortality but not before being buried alive. In 2004, Oceanic Flight 815 crashes on The Island. After a lot of drama and BS, a few managed to finally escape in 2007. Because Jack Shepard was exposed to the element, he becomes the new Smoke Monster. This new Smoke Monster took a more active rather than defensive approach in defending the island. In 2008, Tagaruto Corp. approached the island, the smoke monster attacked, and continued on to NYC. The military codenamed this threat "Large Scale Aggressor" and was finally subdued but not before the city lay in ruins. Fast forward to the late 24th century. The Hobus star is about to go supernova and Ambasador Spock desperately tries to find a way to save the Romulan Empire. He stumbles upon the ancient Earth texts of Rimbaldi and discovers the mysterious element at the heart of the island - he calls it Red Matter, and artificially synthesizes it. Unfortunately he gets pulled into the 23rd century along with Nero's Narada. With Nero defeated he returns to his scientific studies and helping rebuild Vulcan civilization. He is intrigued by the possibilities of Red Matter and travels back in time (note, this is easy for Spock ). His travels take him to the 1960's and he takes on the pseudonym William Bell. ... yes, I am mentally ill
  14. More impressive if they caught and subdued... obviously the perpetrators were Ninjas too as they outran these supposedly "trained" Ninjutsu experts. More info.
  15. Working! has fast become my favorite show this season. As far as slice-of-life goes, this show is just right... :)I suspect this show is propaganda in disguise to combat the NEET phenomenon.
  16. I'm fairly certain that: Also, what was at the heart of the island? Notice the color
  17. Writers don't have to cram everything into 40 minutes. In fact from a business standpoint dividing a story across a number of episodes is not a bad idea as viewers will be more likely to watch next time when faced with the cliffhanger end. I seriously doubt any writing staff would put such a constraint in this day and age, where the most successful TV series all have meta-story arcs spanning several seasons. I agree that if there is no reason to do it, then they shouldn't... but in this case it was a mistake. To all of a sudden, on account of a "memory stone flashback," portray someone who has beef with Young as a traitor is a bit ridiculous, much like the trio's miraculous return to Destiny. Are you telling me there was no way at all either of these fairly "profound" events could not have been fleshed out a bit more?
  18. I loved it! I went in with low expectations though. Hmmm.... anyone else get some strong Evangelion original TV ending vibes ?
  19. Sad to hear he's going through some medical issues, I'm still hoping for some sort of Macgyver movie in the future . The problem I'm having with some SGU episodes is that the pacing is a bit ridiculous. It's basically like this: Rush: I think Telford is a spy. Young: Ok, let's get him! ... just like that. Granted Young probably agreed so quickly because he sees this as an opportunity to investigate Rush himself, but still it could have been handled a bit better.
  20. Do you have to plug this in or use a battery to make this work? It sounds like the magnetic field is probably generated with current running through a solenoid or something. It does look really cool! However, I don't feel like expending electricity for permanent display of models, it'd be cool for some photography or maybe a competition / meet.
  21. I hope that in E3 we get to see a Pac-Man Reboot. Since Pac-Man is so iconic as a name, it should just be called: "Ghost Killa 6". Pac-Man was hailed the heroes of the Ghost Wars, but 30 years later he is now a washed up, broke, and divorced security contractor. But the Ghosts rebel and soon overwhelm the Pac-Land's defenses and his race is now on its way to extinction. Pac-Man slaps on his dentures and reprises his role as the savior of the world. This adventure will play out in a virtual sandbox view where you have the freedom to complete any quests and pursue the main objective at your leisure - to track down the traitor known as "Yellow-13." Co-op is available, and you can play Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Q-Bert, and Smokey (a reformed ghost). As a tie-in to the product, Pac-Man will be a PS3 exclusive character in the next soul-calibur.
  22. General Macgyver has really let himself go...
  23. Who the hell went to watched bay-formers with the human actors/actresses in mind ? ....
  24. I practiced painting splinter camo in an aggressor type pattern on my Viper Mk II. It was my first stab at doing this, and it turned out better than I had hoped. I shall spam 1 more photo . Can't wait to try it on a valkyrie, though I haven't selected which one. Exotic camo's look kind of weird on a VF-1 in my opinion since the underbelly is very "busy," and would contort the patterns strangely (in my head at least). However, I think it would look sweet on a YF-21/VF-22.
  25. . Looks interesting, graphics look a bit unpolished though.... still wondering about the role of the SR-71, bungee down from 80,000 ft ?
