Any mention of SWep3 in the same sentence with "good" shows evidence of heavy emotional and physical trauma inflicted upon the poster, possibly victim to enhanced interrogation techniques at the Skywalker "Ranch", including but not limited to waterboarding, electric shocks, sleep deprivation via marathon episode I to III viewings, and demonstrations of Turkish Film-making techniques:

A bit off topic... I'm hoping to see some sort of good large scale PC interface in the next few years. I've noticed a pretty strong correlation between my back & shoulder pains and computer use after years of working in Software & IT (yea... IT is hell). Although it's meant to be a joke the comment about people not being designed to sit and troll on a keyboard all day long is very true. Something akin to a whiteboard, where I can work standing would be awesome. The tablets are a good first step, but typing just doesn't feel quite right to me yet. But I hear holo-keyboards are right around the corner as well.

This gave me the chuckles: (I'd watch the movie if they made one) -
I get the impression that the ET's were hired guns or simply "grown" bio-weapons designed to just soften up the planet first. Presumably any civilization capable of interstellar travel would have the ability to hit Earth from orbit, yet they choose an amphibious landing as their plan of attack. Oh well, wouldn't be much of a movie with orbital strikes . Another observation is that scale-wise these aggressors posses less sizeable military hardware than the aliens from say ID4, even their command & control node wasn't that big and fell to just 1 missile. Yet, there is a heavy emphasis showing the aliens in squads terrorizing LA. Perhaps this is to juxtapose the invaders against their USMC adversaries, who do not always posses the heaviest and most powerful gear but are more grunt-based (mean this is in a respectful way).

Just saw it this weekend, it's just a flick about Marines kicking a$$, don't expect anything too deep in terms of dialog, character development, or plot, and it'll be an entertaining movie.

It took forever for me to identify and find this beautiful piece from Amagami SS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHErZscaKTs When I listen to it, it feels like I woke up on an alien world staring at an unfamiliar sky, saddened by what I've left behind but excited at what lies ahead. (Note: I'm heavily inebriated atm).

Meh, I like the flying vacuum cleaner better than the curvy Rafale.

Why not just make the villains from the Red Dawn movie, freedom-hating / gun-control / free healthcare / high taxes extraterrestrials with plasma weapons from the planet Zeta Reticuli VI ? This way no one be offend. -
Official anthem to the end of the world.

Is the Rafale confirmed to be in Libya?

FYI: The pills are primarily designed to protect the thyroid which readily absorbs Iodine, as high incidences of thyroid cancers were observed following Chernobyl. The more common forms of thyroid cancers are actually very benign cancers that are relatively easily to treat with excellent survival rates.... KI does nothing to decrease the chance of other conditions like Leukemia or immediate threats like acute radiation poisoning.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v3.0

Delaying Madoka for a bit might not be a bad idea. Dark gritty storylines of mahou shojo biting the dust Tomino style every episode is not exactly helpful in the face of Earthquake/Tsunami/Nuclear Meltdown. -
Agreed with the above posters that Red Cross is a safe bet if you're afraid of scammers. I put in my humble donation.

The images and the aftermath of this disaster are truly shocking, if you take into account the fact that earthquakes are common in that region and that Japanese infrastructure is supposedly built to to take into account fairly extreme seismic activities, I can only imagine the devastation that would have fallen upon a lesser prepared country. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and survivors. This also reminds us to try to live life every day to the fullest... you're ok and flying high one day and the next moment you're swept away by a tsunami.

Holy crap, Maho Shojo Madoka Majika is so "gritty" (not really the right word, but I'm at a loss trying to describe this re-invention of the genre). They should just call this show Battlestar Maho Shojo Mobile Suit Witch Wars chronicles with guest directors Ronald D. Moore and Yoshiyuki "The Killer" Tomino. -

By the way, I think it's reaper. His obliviousness is probably due to the Council's proactive attempt to downplay the Sovereign incident after ME1. Note that during Shepard's visit back to the Citadel in ME2, the trio still had problems buying the whole reaper thing. And also Alliance forces have only really encountered a Reaper once, and that was just a fraction of their fleet, as such a human soldier (in particular a ground trooper) would have little or no idea of what a Reaper looks like.

I've wondered about this a lot myself, I'm sure he would have still been involved making movies and explaining his philosophy to the world. It would be great to have seen his take on today's events and showing up on daytime talk or Bill Maher, Leno, etc. There is a very good English language interview (old school B&W!) preserved by the almighty youtube for time inmemorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AW37eD5i24Qhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AW37eD5i24Q From this we see that there is definitely a very fine mind behind the incredible physique. This man was definitely taken from the world too soon. Without Bruce Lee there would have been no Jackie Chan, Jet Li, etc.
