Does everything... but still need a -A, -B, -C variant in order to do everything. -
RG's are great! The 1/144 models have come a long way, regardless of whether they're HGUC or RG.

The historical emperor Xerxes probably didn't dress like a member of Lady Gaga's dance crew. I bet the film neglects to mention how Thermistocles is later exiled, and goes to serve the Persian emperor Artaxerxes, son of Xerxes.

This is a bit old, but worth posting. Pierre Sprey, co-designer of both the F-16 and A-10, shares his less than rosy thoughts on the F-35. -

Gundam Live Action Movie In The Works?
Ghost Train replied to MILKAUTICO's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I would think Neill Blomkamp (or whoever does mecha designs for him) can pull it off. I loved the exo used in District 9 and the mechs of Elysium. But here is another thought... why don't we make a magical uplifting rated G story about Gundam for kids! Gundam meets Guntank and Guncannon and together go on an adventure to the island of A Bao A Qu to meet the mysterious wizard Char!- 20 replies

They should just drop that whole concept and let us plug in a USB one or a 360 controller.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0

I would suggest Gundam 00. The second season was weaker than the first, but overall I enjoyed the series. -
I just saw the film recently. It is a bit less thought provoking District 9 but it was a good action filled ride. With Kruger, Sharlto Copley earned his bada$$-character badge.

Damm... it's pretty easy to visualize most actors as having a normal smiling persona outside of work, but not Mr. Trejo as he has some serious bada$$ real life street cred.

Argentina still disputes ownership of the Falkland islands (currently owned by the UK). They fought a short war over it in 1982. -
Aircraft can be classified in terms of their inherent stability (the ability to fly in a "straight line" with minimal control input). A small Cesna is a very stable design for example. Because of stability however, if will also resist extreme maneuvers, like those that would be incurred in aerial combat. On the other hand, you have something like say a F-16 which is of an inherently unstable design, but it's greatly more maneuverable. However, because of inherent instability it needs a flight computer to make minor adjustments to the plane's control surfaces in response to a pilot's controls in order to keep the airplane stable. Because a Gerwalk and Battroid would fall into the extremely unstable category, it will need extremely good software, especially in atmosphere, to keep the Valk stable during transformation and help it recover afterwards. So you can imagine the software complexity needed to handle this, to do things like calculate a safe scenario for the pilot to start transformation. Another problem is that of "energy." If you're flying along one direction, your plane has sufficient energy to make minor maneuvers. When you do an extreme maneuver (like a Flanker doing a Pugachev Cobra) the plane looses energy (1/2mv^2), and thus will be slightly less maneuverable and unresponsive until enough thrust can be applied. Since transforming seems like a fairly extreme thing to do, a Valkyrie would loose a lot of energy, and thus it would become vulnerable to another aircraft while it's doing so.

It is definitely anachronistic. The current generation of gamers grew up in a world where everyone gets participation trophies for any sort of competitive event.

I have just finished my normal difficulty playthrough of Enemy Within. This is the DEFINITIVE version of the game, and it's worth every penny. I also loved the overarching theme of the game, that of sacrificing your soldier's humanity (through gene mods and MEC enhancements) in order to defeat the aliens. It is best summed up in the new opening quote for the game: "Those who play with the devil's toys will be brought by degrees to wield his sword." - R. Buckminster Fuller

I have high hopes for this, but I can't help but giggle at this teaser. How can people get excited over some random images and shots. I bet none of these will make the final editing cut. Let's be objective people.- 197 replies
