    I just watched the first episode of the second half of Fate Zero and that pretty well done dogfight between 2 JASDF fighters vs a Kraken and a Vimana... so I wouldn't be surprised if we see a Berserker F-15J DLC in the near future .

    It's so great staring at the readiness map and see 99% across the board ... why are we loosing the war against the Reapers again? I haven't had time to bother with multiplayer too much, but just spamming GAW from the ME3 iPad/iPhone app during coffee breaks gave me full readiness in all sectors in about a week's time. Best ending, here I come !

    All this airline discussion reminds me of my time in Consulting where I had to travel every week, and did this for almost 2 years. I made Platinum on the now defunct Northwest Airlines in about 4 months, those were the good old days, on top of my base salary I received a very generous per-diem for every week I spent away from home (which I got to keep regardless of how much I actually spent on food and gas!) . I was really young fresh out of college so this was like living the high life, I woke up at 3:00AM on Mondays to catch the earliest flight to wherever it is I was staffed, work like a dog until flying homeThursday evening, and do a half day from home on Friday. Party like crazy on the weekend... repeat. The Platinum status got me first class upgrades almost half the time (and free booze), so all these old geezers are wondering why this baby-faced kid is sitting next to them . Here are a few random things I learned during this time: The best and most comfy seats are the emergency exit seats (if you want the responsibility of course), I would rate them equal in comfort to business class ones. Monday mornings and Thursday evenings are typically the worst times to fly. Airlines purposely jack up the flight time needed to get you from point A to point B to account for delays, this way they are always on time! Alcoholic beverages seem to "work" more effectively at higher altitudes. If you're in business class with a rolling carry on, odds are you will not have overhead bin space if you don't board right when business class is called. The rolling-bags seem to be the most popular form of carry on, but a duffel bag is flexible and easier to squish into limited overhead bin space. Don't be a tech jacka$$ when asked to turn-off all electronics during take off and landing. Turn off means POWER-down, not disable 3G/4G and WIFI. I'm glad this part of my life is over now though, with the full body scanners l I doubt I'd want to expose myself to whatever amount of radiation that thing dumps on you. I really enjoy my current job which has 0% travel, but sometimes I do reminisce about those days.

    Hasegawa's been testing the Ace Combat "waters" for a while now - first with the IM@S planes, the Zipang F-14, and finally now an original kit. I really like the Shinden, it's a very unique design and pretty fun to fly in Assault Horizon. Hoping it does well so we can see other AC super planes in the future.

    I got through my first run. I don't dislike the ending, nor do I love it. I get strong Deus Ex vibes from the choice you have to make . My biggest complaint is Kai Leng... of all the quality content that Bioware is known to put out... could they have created a deeper thought provoking evil counterpart to Shepard, rather than an Asian cyber-ninja guy with a pony-tail who wields a katana? Really.... ? Currently doing a second playthrough as Infiltrator, sooo much more fun than soldier.

    Yes, it's the old 1/72 Monogram. I've seen photos of various XL conversions, they all look better and more accurate than the Mono lol... but I'm not going for accuracy here .

    Despite the extreme age of this kit (I'm only a year older than this hunk of plastic), everything fits quite well! Cockpit has a nasty chip though ... thinking of just "polarizing (i.e. painting over it ) it with gloss black" or make an attempt at an Ace Combat COFFIN system.

    The only thing I would change is to remove the whole transformation aspect from its mecha (I know I'm in the minority here ), have the VF-1 be the super-fighter of the last few episodes, but instead have modified 4 & 5G aircraft enhanced with the SDF-1's recovered tech be the main fighters of the show. Would also like to take it into a more gritty character drama direction with the: who is a Cylon Zentradi question constantly lingering over the show's cadre of humanly imperfect characters.

    I don't totally buy the F-35 being the star of Top Gun II. This is how I think it will play out: The Navy pilots are high-fiving each other over their shiny new F-35C's, until a dangerous technical fault with the tailhooks grounds the whole fleet !...But then, OH NOEZ an unholy cabal of the 1% working with Mexican drug dealers, Russian ultranationalists, and the Venezuelan North Korean haters be hatin association hire a PMC air force to invade America. They are led by the enigmatic Troll-Face Squadron flying all black SU-35BM's Nope... can't spare any Hornets. That only leaves ONE OPTION... a few remaining F-14's that have not been turned into scrap are brought back into action. Maverick will have a new WSO callsign Warlock-Ninja played by Charlie Sheen. These antiquated but powerful fighters slowly turn the tide of battle. Maverick's squad then faces off against Troll-Face squadron and it's revealed that their leader is none other than Goose flying a PAK-FA. Goose is naturally upset that Maverick almost got him killed until his body was rebuilt with robot parts by the Illuminati, and the two have one epic dogfight. Just as the PAK-FA lines up the F-14 for the kill, Mav pulls the brake (no one saw this coming)... Goose desperately tries to Pugachev the PAK-FA, but it's too late... In the final scene, Mav and Goose have a Newtype moment where they are floating in space playing volleyball, and Goose finally forgives Mav, before the PAK-FA explodes. The F-14's land aboard the carrier and there is celebration, etc. In the horizon, alien UFO's suddenly appear and start attacking all of Earth's major cities. The stage is now set for Top Gun III: The Independence Day Chronicles.

    For Spring 2012, Fate Zero's second half... cannot start soon enough. Equally can't wait to watch Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka (of the dead).

    The DLC's been out for a while, but it sort of evaded my radar (no pun intended) ... makes me want to play this mediocre game again lol MOST IMPORTANTLY: DESIGNED BY THE HORRY FROATING HEAD HIMSELF!

    What has been speculated so far, and it's mentioned in the above article, is that the J-20 was not designed as a direct challenge to the Raptor per say, but more of a stealthy 5th generation interceptor or strike fighter designed to hit things behind the front lines.

    I grabbed FF7 off the PSN store. This will be my third time playing through it. First in 1999: Was never really into RPG's so mostly played for the story, my characters sucked. Did not breed gold chocobo, no KOTR, no omnislash, struggled through the game and finished it. Then in 2003: Finished the game gracefully, got the gold bird and LVL4 Limit breaks for everyone, but still left stuff undone, just couldn't beat Emerald + Ruby... This playthrough I aim to do everything The game doesn't look bad at all after all these years, even on a HD screen. How have I missed the big headed blocky characters all these years.

    My favorite is still VI, best pew-pew (Excelsior + Enterprise tag team), somewhat good plot, and best adversary since Khan (though not surpassing him).
