  1. My brother had that one along with my neighbor. That's how I knew about the helmet variants as they each had the different version. The one I always wanted was the 57 Chevy with the lift kit and the pop up aplique armor plates that made it an adhoc tank. That and the bigazz semi truck!
  2. Did you know this version of Matt Tracker had two styles of masks? One like in the picture with the attached shoulder harness and the earlier one which was just the helmet. It was changed to make it less of a choking hazard.
  3. That technically already happened...
  4. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2022-03-17/godzilla-franchise-actor-akira-takarada-passes-away-at-87/.183729 Akira Takarada who played main lead character Ogata in the original 1954 Godzilla film and was in at least another half dozen other Godzilla films as well as many more scifi Toho films has passed away on March 14th. Growing up Godzilla films were a big part of my childhood so this hits kind of hard. I consider myself blessed I got to meet him at a convention a few years back.
  5. So... When has a live action video game ever actually tried to be a faithful adaptation of the source? Honest I'm getting kind of sick the "whole we are doing our own thing" excuse. For once just give us a god damn straight up adapation from the game. Yeah it will be predictable fanservice, but so what? That's what fans want. Why do you think the early seasons of Game Of Thrones were so popular when they were the closest to the source material and the later seasons so reviled when Dumb & Dumber decided to put their own spin on things after running out of books to copy from?
  6. One looks like Gunbuster with the head from Priss' hardsuit from Bubblegum Crisis.
  7. All that video is make me wonder if an anti submarine Osprey exists.
  8. If there's one NeoGeo future sports game I want to see an updated sequel to next it's Super Baseball 2020. So much potential there. New unique stadiums with different homerun zones, more varied robot types, an expanded full season, and new weapons to use. So much can be done with it!
  9. So many GM's! You are indeed a man of distinguished taste.
  10. I'm visiting my brother for the holidays and I've spent a lot of time visitimg the movie theater while there and this has to be one of the worst things I have ever seen to the point I have nothing but utter contempt for it and I'm glad it's bombing worse that pearl harbor. Spiderman No Way Home and The King's Man as uneven as it was, was so much better than this trash.
  11. Currently reading Shattered Sword: The Untold Story of the Battle of Midway by Johnathon Parshall and Anthony Tully who are two of the people behind the combinedfleet website which is probably the best most extensive collection of data on the Japanese Navy in WWII that you can find in english. The book itself is fascinating as focuses on the Japanese side during the battle of Midway contain newer primary sources that up until recently hadn't been translated to english. It really drives home the foolhardy arrogance, utter contempt for their opponents, strict adherence to hierarchy/plans, and pointless infighting with the IJN and the IJA over war policies directly led to the defeat at Midway setting the course of the war for the next three years. Just a word of warning, don't go into this book expecting to hear a lot about code breaking, station hypo, or an American perspective of the battle out side of how the events directly impacted the Japanese like the Doolittle Raid being seen as an insult and an attempt on the life of the Showa Emperor himself and thus demanding a direct response and a complete change of war policy. There's a misconception with this book that it's supposed to supplant other works like Gordon Prange's Miracle At Midway as the premier source for the battle, but the fore word it states the opposite. Parshall & Tully state Shattered Sword is meant to support and compliment Miracle At Midway and should be read together as they represent literally two sides to the same coin.
  12. I was visiting my brother in Montana and went to see Ghostbusters Afterlife. The trailer for this was attached to it and it looked like a turd.
  13. Is that made out of rubber? I think I had one as a kid alongside a F-15 Eagle one.
  14. That and Paul's grandfather dying in a bullfight come from the Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson prequel books. Anderson is mentioned as a special consultant in the credits.
  15. The Fremen are a very ritualistic, superstitious, and religiously structured people. Remember the Fremen reaction from the Atreides arrival on Arrakis and from Shaodout Mapes(the house keeper with the crysknife) where Jessica all but confirmed she's the mother of the Messiah? That goes a long way in Fremen society and is largely what kept Stilgar from having them both outright killed. Once Jessica reveals her status as Bene Gesserit she essentially became what a nun would be to hardcore catholics and became untouchable. Though that didn't keep Jamis from challenging her and Paul defending her. Rumors of Paul's status as the *ahem* "one true Fremen saviour" had indeed reached Stilgar's tribe so Paul killing Jamis was basically all but and act of god punishing him for his hubris.
  16. To quote Mai Shiranui... "BOUNCY!!!"
  17. Do I really want to know why the forestry service had an attack chopper in the first place? All seriousness, Battleship Cove is trying to restore their own AH-1 to it's Vietnam configuration and parts have been hell to come by. Meanwhile their Huey gunship is slowly being restored by the guy who actually flew that very airframe in Vietnam and he's taking care to keep the battle damage intact. He's got a story for each one of the bullet holes.
  18. As far as Jack Gleason(Joffery) goes, he's actually returned to acting last year. Getting him to do Feyd might be a hard sell for him though. Personally I think he could bring the right amount of menace and charm that defines the character. As for Sting... He would be perfect for Emperor Shadam Corrino IV.
  19. I watched No Time To Die a couple days ago. I actually liked it quite a bit which is saying something considering how badly I've loathed Craig's so called "gritty" run as Bond. One scene I found unintentionally funny was where Bond finds out they assigned the 007 number to Nomi and someone said "You probably thought they'd retire it in your honor." Yeah, if this was taking all the events of the 60+ years of Bond adventures into account I could see it, but this is Craig Bond who earned his 00 status just prior to the events of Casino Royale and has spent most of his career failing his objectives, quiting, being disavowed, or retired. I don't think he ever actually went an entire film as a full MI-6 agent? Casino Royale- Quits to marry honey trap Vesper Lynd ends up betrayed and goes rogue. Quantum of Solace- Quits MI-6 extract revenge on those who manipulated Vesper Lynd. Skyfall- Gets shot, disappears and is disavowed only to return be sent on a suicide mission only to be forced into retirement. Spectre-Quits to marry Madelyn Swan. No Time To Die- Is literally retired for 90% of the film.
  20. As far as the novels go nothing of the imagery from Lynch's film is in the books. No heart plugs, no wierding modules, the Baron is fat but not diseased, nor is he a raving lunatic, and ornithopters are anything but whatever the hell that gothic elevator looking thing was in the 1984 film.
  21. I always thought Airwolf was black and white like an orca killer whale.
