  1. The main story sucked anyway, you're better off doing all the side quests and activities.
  2. I enjoyed this one quite a bit, it was quite fun and irreverent at times which makes it a stark contrast to pretty much all the DC film universes so far and a blast to watch. Shame it's not doing well at the box office.
  3. I saw the trailer tonight when I went to see Shazam: Fury Of The Gods and we'll to honest, the best parts of the trailer were the ones Ezra Miller weren't in. Just hearing him talk is so cringe worthy, I can't help but wonder who cast this guy and what dirt he had on them as leverage to get the part.
  4. Kasdan is a hack writer and only got to where he is due to sheer nepotism. Nothing he has ever worked on has ever risen above mediocrity. His biggest success was writing for Dawson's Creek, the prototypical "CW" whiny angst teen melodrama show which is basically what the Willow tv series became instead of the light hearted medieval adventure series it should have been. It needed more swords and sorcery adventure like the original movie and less talking about feelings in dark hallways. If you think Jon Kasdan is going to improve in a hypothetical season 2 just because he gave us a couple decent episodes at the tail end of Willow's first season you'll be sadly mistaken.
  5. I'm feeling pretty gutted. Leiji Matsumoto was far and away one of my favorite sci-fi manga and anime creators. Still, I think we can all take solace in the fact he lived a full rich life on his terms and along the way brought entertainment and happiness to thousands of not millions of people world wide. 🏴‍☠️ 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️ 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️ 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️ 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️
  6. My thoughts exactly. Apart from the well done funeral and tribute to Chadwick Boseman this film felt like an exercise in why absolute monarchies absolutely suck. The plot of this film literally revolves around latin Hitler with his chosen superior race fighting black Stalin with her utter disregard for her own people because they both have "family" issues, can't deal with loss, and are both utterly self absorbed narcissists. Oh yeah, and they both despise anyone that isn't from Wakanda or Atlantis. Which is why Namor is fighting Wakanda... So he can weaken them enough that the rest of the world will gang up on them forcing them into an alliance with Atlantis so he can go to war with the rest of the world. Yeah....talk about convoluted. Speaking of the rest of the world, the movie opens with trying to portray countries like the US and France as bad for attempting to steal vibranium from Wakandan research centers using spec ops forces. This leads the Queen to make a scathing speech about territorial sovereignty and respecting Wakanda according to international law. The problem is you really can't blame other countries for not trusting Wakanda over hoarding vibranium. Yeah they helped stop Thanos, but the entire time before that they were violating territorial sovereignty of other nations, commiting espionage, King T'Chaka commiting murder in LA, shaming the rest of the world into sign the Sokovian accords all while hiding a super powered being of their own, and nearly starting World War III when Killmonger briefly took power. And then this movie does almost all that in microcosm including adding in freeing a double agent in the CIA that was spying for Wakanda and leaking information after he was arrested and heading to prison. So much for respecting international law an sovereignty right?
  7. I'm a nut for the castle stuff, so I'm interested in the Medieval Village, Zelda set(what ever that actually is), and LOTR Sauron's Bara Dur fortress.
  8. Nurse outfit? Lol! I can sort of see in an insane asylum orderly type of way. Honestly though? My first instinct was either 80s BreakDancer or Russian mobster. 😆
  9. Thanks for the kind words. I'm not going to lie, the last few years have been rough, but things really feel like like they turned a corner. Anyways the castle came in the mail yesterday with the Blacktron cruiser and I'm going to start work on it over the weekend. The box is massive. Like 38 inch old school tv big! I can't wait to crack it open! In the meantime I just happened to be in Barnes & Noble today and picked up the Medieval Blacksmith Ideas set as well. Lol! I think I have a problem.🤣
  10. Well I did it. I bought the big damn Lego Lion Knight's Castle and got the blacktron cruiser as a free gift... I have mixed feelings on the purchase as $400 is a huge chunk of money. Lego castle stuff is a sore spot for me as my room mate and his girlfriend stole all the castle sets I had when he refused to pay rent and I was forced to sell the house we all had lived in. Five years later, a move out west to be closer to family, a newer better job that pays well, a new year, and some convincing from my brother and his wife to finally do something for myself... Well here I am.
  11. Yeah, they removed old Indy from when the series was released on dvd dating back to 2007. This was before Disney purchased Lucasfilm or Crystal Skull even existed for those wondering.
  12. The Cobi bricks Corsair. Well one of the four historical variants they've released to this point.
  13. They both look ugly and chunky compared to the Cobi Bricks Corsairs.
  14. My brother just told me. I feel sick.
  15. More like the road to hell is paved with good intentions. When you look into the backstory of this film and what it's based on you start to wonder how this film even got green lit in the first place. Let me put it this way, there is a damn good reason Lupita Nyong'o who played Nakia in Black Panther turned down the lead role and withdrew from the project after she did her own research into what the Kingdom of Dahomey was. It gets worse when you see reviews give it 8/10 for cinematography and acting, while grading it a 4/10 for historical accuracy. The studio got so much backlash they've stopped marketing it as "based on a true story" and labeled it as "alternate historical fiction".
  16. If anyone needs a brush up on the rules and lines of succesion, here you go...
  17. Oh he did! He just has terrible luck. After the B-17 flight the next day he was getting ready to head home when the alternator blew on his truck. Good thing he's also a mechanic! Anyways he starting uploading video of his flights to youtube if you want an idea what a flight on a warbird is like.
  18. My brother after two years of waiting finally got his warbird flight on the B-25J Mitchell "Maid In The Shade" yesterday. I bought him the ticket to fly two years ago, but it got cancelled due to bad weather, then covid happened and cancelled the tour for the next year. Sorry to post his ugly mug, but you just can't replace that look of pure joy of an older guy getting in touch with his inner child. The real kicker once the flight ended a photographer friend of his that also took the B-25 flight experience bought my brother a ticket for today on the B-17G Sentimental Journey that accompanies the B-25 on it's tour.
  19. Anybody else notice the "darkstar" is essentially a more angular version of the old "F-19 Stealth" that had a bunch of kits and toys made of it back in the 80s and 90s?
  20. That's kind of what happened with the original film. Lucasfilm wanted to do Lord Of The Rings, but couldn't get the rights so they did Willow instead. My only hope is they don't base this series on the abysmal Shadow Moon sequel books.
