While I don't mind the surfing quarter, I still enjoy the final battle of the TV series much more than the movie version. In the TV series, it was clear that the "good guy" fleet was the aggressor and the goal was to commit genocide against the Vajra with the intend of occupying their planet as a colony. And the irony continues, in response, Vajra (with the help of Galaxy) used Ai Oboeteimasu Ka to disorient the human assault force. A taste of their own medicine for those pesky human. That was the crowning moment of the TV series for me. Also lacking in the movie were the nods to other pieces of Macross work. Luca unleashing his ghosts to use the "Sharon Apple" AI for the final battle. And Minmay picture in the pendent. Battle-action wise, nothing trumps the awesomeness of Macross Battle vs. Macross Battle in assault mode (even a surfing quarter). Then there was Konig monster blasting Galaxy bridge (point blank range face blast). Alto x Brera aerobatic ballet finished with a 360 area sweep, then followed up with the coup de "grace" Frontier/Vajra queen hybrid just doesn't do it for me. =(

I think it was MF novel. Kim was commanding the fleet defending Earth when Vajra simultaneously assaulted all the human fleet/planets.

Can't wait. Just got the 1Kuji Kimono Ranka + Sheryl set yesterday. Probably going to keep them in the box =p

GB is actually less expensive than most other options if you are living in the US. The starting price is already lower than most other commercial venue. And instead costing (for example) $40 to ship 1 items by EMS from JPN to US, it cost $120 to ship 12 items by EMS (EMS cost doesn't scale 1:1 with weight). So in the end, everyone's international shipping is only $10. Add another $5 domestic shipping to that, you just saved $25 in shipping. Hope that make sense. I think there is a shortage in Singapore. =P

Not sure what you mean... For web exclusive stuff, GB will always be higher than the retail price... there is no way to get them at wholesale price and offer a discount. If you watched the Pixar "Planes" trailer, the plane taking off from the carrier is sporting the VFA-103 Jolly Roger markings. It's a stretch. I know XD

There are quite a few hidden fees, such as exchange rate expenses (actual rate from US to JPY is like 3% off the actual rate), S&H charges (from pbandai, middleman and international EMS), that gets added to the over all cost. They are probably making about $40 at that price, and that's a lot of trouble/risk/investment for only $40 profit.

It's mainly for people in the US. Shipping is slightly cheaper then purchasing directly from Japan because the armor parts will be bulk shipped to US, and redistributed domestically by USPS.

I would steer clear of toyslogic. Pre-Ordered a HJ exclusive figure from them because I missed the order deadline. After paying the full amount on the week when the figure was released in Japan, I never got the figure 6 weeks later. Eventually I bought one from Y!J and asked toyslogic for a refund (which was the only good thing I have to say about them, since I did get the money back).
