For 30000 you get 1 of each of the prize item. 3 grand prize figures, 3 chibi valks, 4 shotties, 6 sd girls, and 1 bowl/plate thingie. There are only two complete sets in each prize kit, and some extra plates and SD girls.

Nice meeting you Gubaba as well. Even though I can't keep up with most of the M:7 discussion, it kind of got me interested in tracking it down and giving it another chance. I also plan to pick up her older releases from her website later, but tonight was about showing support for ECHO (since she only mentioned it about 15,000 times). About her comment, she was probably hoping you would have purchase the single from her directly tonight. I wouldn't worry about it because according to her blog and her comments to other attendees tonight, she's pretty happy she wrote, arranged and produced that single. It was very lucky I had her "sings Minmay" CD in the car today (had to go straight to LA after work). I thought that would be the best Macross album to ask for her autograph since it's more about her as an artist than her as Minmay (which always seems to be a touchy subject)

Obviously there is some difference between Japanese work place culture and that of US.

Even though there was only one Macross song (Ai Oboete Imasu ka) out of the 6 or 7 songs, it was well worth the long drive in rush hour LA traffic. I wish she stop trying so hard to distant herself from her role as Minmay. The best reaction from the audience tonight was her performance of Ai Oboete Imasu ka, and even she said it herself that she knew everyone came to see her perform that song. Why not cater to the crowd and perform more Macross songs? Oh, and she is alot prettier in person than her album photos.

I ran through all of the scenarios just as you did, but the fact that the original packing box and tapes were still in perfect sealed condition is mind-boggling. TSA/Customs must now have some Super Dimensional inspection machine to allow worker to reach inside the packing box without tempering with the packing tape. All kidding aside, this particular VF-19 is for resell purpose so torn-off retail packaging is a big NO NO. I am trying to work out a replacement method with HLJ, either just the retail packaging or the whole thing. Hopefully they will come through with some kind of reasonable offer. 2010 is a great year for Japanese toy collector in the US, with so many new sources offering products at competitive prices, HLJ needs to work on customer service if they can't keep up with with the prices.

Got my canned email from HLJ today, suggesting it was customs that cause the damage. I replied that the original packing box and packing tape were still perfectly sealed when I got the shipment. Plus it can't be damage caused during shipping, since someone had carefully placed the two ripped-off pieces of the VF-19 packaging inside the packaging box of the Milia VF-1J. I was boggled at first when I first found the two ripped-pieces (as seen in picture) of tabs inside the VF-1J. When I got around taking the VF-19 out of the packing box, then I figured out what those two pieces were ... I was somewhat amused by the whole condition of the contents...

I hear ya, and I am doing my share of keeping the demands up. I am buying up any reasonably-priced Series 2 box I can find, and pre-ordering Series 3 boxes to keep Bandai pumping these things out. Series 2 was completely sold out in Taiwan like 2 weeks after unloading from the container. Hopefully the importer is going to place a much larger order for series 3, even if it cost a bit more. Distribution on the variants was pretty horrid for series 2, requiring at least 3 boxes to complete a whole set. If you are lucky/unlucky enough to pull the alpha, it replace one of rare/uncommon variant spot inside the box, probably forcing at least a 4th box.

What's with the 8th track "恋のドッグファイト" in Ranka's "CM Album"? There is no lyrics in the liner and I don't recall the CM to be in the movie.

C'mon, they are animated bionic boobs. That's like twice removed from the real thing! So Grace's modesty is Nightmare & Despair are the first to be sacrificed in the name of fan service!
