I don't really think the detachable limbs gimmic is/will be a good idea. Think about it, people are still hot off the arms on the VF-0's. If you make the toy able to drop its limbs you run the chance of a very LARGE QC issue. You know like I do it is possible to do it and do it well. But if any of you guys get one with a faulty limb connection there would be hell to pay. . .

1/60 YF-21 - Will you be picking up the 1st release version?
DARKWIND replied to TheLoneWolf's topic in Toys
Ditto, It has to either come with the fast packs, or at least the packs need to be sold at very near the same time. But if they release the toy the same way they did the 19, no first edition unless it looks just that damn good. So again we wait till we see some proto shots. . . -

Again sweet mod dude, but before I do this. . . . One question, Does this mod affect the arms locking in fighter mode?
-
Damn that mod looks hot!!! PsYcHoDyNaMiX you rock!!!! That is the best original mod to I've seem in a while. . . Think about it, it seems like it's really supposed to be that way, like it might have been part of the original design. It just gives the 19 a whole other asthetic. Outstanding!!! Now I'm thinking about doing the same thing. . .
-
Okay. . . . . Lets try that again. Does anyone else have an idea that is actually relevant to this toy. . .

By the way did anyone find a way to fix the feet on the VF-0S? (To keep the locked out that is. . . )

DAMN!!!! Taka you do good work!!!! And eugi, I would bid but I'm out of cash right now so I hope you win and "keep in the family" so to speak

I don't know, for the 25th anniversary I think Yamato should do the remaining TV valks. . . Both Max and Kakizaki's VF-1A in TV colors in 1/48 scale. At least since they've scraped the idea of the two seaters in 1/48. I mean if they are having SO much trouble with any other valks, just stick to what works. But really come on Yamato, bite the bullet and make the two seaters: stretch those molds out a little more. . . Pack the boxes full of goodies not HK air. . . Then use the time releasing those to perfect and tool the 1/60 YF-21 to be a badass follow up. Hell I'm sure we would all like to see a little VF-4, VF-5000, VF-17 and the VF-9 or something new. Think how well just those will do if they are designed and put together well.

That looks to be the case, maybe I'll pick up another one. . .

I was thinking the same thing. Graham how soon till we see one of those awesome previews?

Just cool your jets. . . I started this thread to see if any other members were having the same issues with the newer toys. Not to be a witch hunt or flame session at the owner of the website who just happens to get the inside dope on most things Yamato plans. Who knows they might have screwed Graham over last minute and chose to go with ABS. Or, (dare I say it) the almighty POM idea wasn't all it was cracked up to be. So far as I can recall he never seemed to try pull a fast one on us before, so why start now especially on an item as hotly debated as this. I don't really see the benefit of knowingly passing bad info to members on a site that he pays for and enjoys as much as rest of us here do. Also, I have yet to see Yamato put up a sales banner/link to garner/weasle our hard earned dollars out of our pockets. Sure he may give good previews/reviews for their toys, but that is because he does get to see them sort of in the making. What comes out of the factory for the final result is anyone's ball game. Name one member here who would not want to be in his shoes, be it with Yamato, Bandai, Hasegawa, Hasbro, Takara, Takatoku or any other company that could produce good versions of these Macross toys. You too would be stoked to have the inside scoop and be pissed if it look like you were being BS'd in front of fellow fans that you respected and respected you. The choice is yours to buy or boycott. . . But don't try and light a fire under his shorts cause he didn't give an answer quickly or tell you what you wanted to hear. Just stay on topic and leave the flames at the door. . .

Could this be the start of an unfortunate exodus for Yamato products??? Who knows???? (duh-duh-duuuumm. . . . .) lol But seriously to each his own, and sad to hear about your change of heart. . .
