    There was PG Wing Zero re-release but nothing new, just pearl-gloss finish and brand new box design. Back to topic, I have 3 Macross toys/figures and 1 model from Bandai: DX VF-25F, DX VF-27. Armor Plus EX-Gear, and 1/100 YF-29. Other than minor paint chipping on DX 27, I have nothing to complain. The joints in my DXs are still tight and no sign of loosening. Maybe I just got lucky . Also, I'm very impressed with Armor Plus EX-Gear, love that cockpit mode. Bandai should made more something like this, not necessarily another EX-Gears, but something other than just VFs.

    I'm not saying it ugly, just evil and scary . Also, anyone remember if that chest gun ever used in batroid mode? And if Yamato will ever release red 17S, I hope they put Manfred Brando name in sticker sheet along with Millia. Give VF-X2 some love!

    I prefer D over S. I first saw S head design in Macross VFX-2. My impression was that thing looks really evil (it's a baddie VF on that game anyway). Then I watched M7 and surprised that thing is not the one bad guy used. I think it has more scary-looking head than Elgerzorene .vfx2 gallery (11).bmp

    Yup, nothing spoiler-ific on the pictures, just keep things simple. Anyway, MG OO Raiser is already out now, here's a review from hacchaka. Looking good, I will get it to complete my holy trinity of Exia/OOR/OOQ . Also, when runner previews came out days ago, I compared the runner with OOQ and I can confirm that it inherited some parts from MG OOQ. Specifically, inner frames for arms and legs. Anything else is completely new.

    Speaking of decals, look at MG Epyon official picture (now with decals ): Good luck with those white strips on the legs. If those are dry transfer, having them symmetrical and wrapping around curvy surface will be very difficult. And if those are clear stickers, well, people hate clear stickers. Also, white clear sticker over dark surface like red will not create solid white like that. The sticker is thin enough to make it transparent so the end result will be reddish white.

    Is that the same pilot figure from DX VF-25? I don't really care small stuff like that but they can do better. I hand painted tiny Alto figure in my 1/100 YF-29 kit and I think the result is more color accurate than that white blob. It's almost like Alto is wearing a white T-shirt over his pilot suit . Still, having build the kit I fell in love with the overall design. Will get one if I can spare my budget.

    The manga goes way beyond that, so yeah, the anime story is really unfinished. You won't believe how the story developed into something crazy in the manga. But good thing is, the manga itself just finished.

    Riding on RG Aile Strike hype, Robot Damashii Aile Strike is planned for release on September! The design looks good, it's sleek and that's must be the most anorexic Strike I ever saw. But then, a bad news that isn't really surprising: Launcher and Sword Striker pack will be Tamashii Web Limited. The same way they did with GFFN Aile Strike back then.

    About Heavyarms, Sandrock and Tallgeese shown on that event are just modified 1/100. They have MG hands but the elbow joint is clearly 1/100. They're listed as upcoming, but no clear release date and not even any prototypes being made so we'll have to wait a bit longer. I'm surprised with the lack of Altron, though.     Ah, yes. I checked the wing part and the antenna on tip looks very fragile. But since it's not articulated, I won't play with it too much (maybe just swooshing it sometimes ). Unlike other airplane kits out there, this one is very familiar, almost felt like a gunpla. And yeah, I have experience with gunpla and Kotobukiya's more fragile (and with more confusing manual) kits.

    Just got this one today. In my opinion, this 1/100 is Macross equivalent of Gundam High Grade, while 1/72 is Master Grade. The packaging/box size and design, price range, even down to the manual is very HG-ish. The color separation is comparable to HGs. But of course since it has no limb, straight build will be as fast or even faster than No Grade/First Grade/Entry Grade. I haven't build it yet, but I already like it .

    I replaced the Epyon with beam saber pic on my previous post with sharper one for more detail. But here's close-up of Epyon for upper torso and head area. The head looks good now. And for other grades, HGFC Shining Gundam, HGFC Master Gundam + Fuun Saiki will be released on August: A robot horse .

    Some gunpla news from Shizuoka hobby show First, MG Epyon shown with the beam saber for the first time: Then the boxart: And new MG announcement: Delta Plus, August release. Now Epyon looks good, and it seems wide box design is a new trend for MG boxes. Delta Plus isn't that surprising. EDIT: replacing Epyon's pic with beam saber with better ones.

    I don't really recommend the special edition; I have the 1st volume and I think TV series is much better. I especially don't like how the music is placed, and the way O Gundam pilot revealed at the beginning kills the mysterious aura of Setsuna's 1st encounter with Gundam. And being a compilation, the pace is kinda rushed too. As for the movie, if you look at OO series/movie thread here or anywhere else, you'll find that some people hate it with passion and some people that thinks it was OK. Most of the complain is that the movie felt disjointed with the series: so then if you just jumped into the movie without watching the entire TV series, maybe you will find the movie enjoyable .

    I just filled my day with boobies as well. Starting with Queens Blade OVA 6 and then Highschool of The Dead OVA. Queens Blade was good, at least it has a plot. Also, Tomoe has something major happened to her in the end (although I'm sure she will be cured the next time we saw her). And Aldra as nun, 'nuff said . As for HOTD OVA...it's (literally) brainless beach episode. I'm glad I read about the OVA being swimsuit fest somewhere before I got to watch it, so I didn't expect much. But those who want more zombie spanking will be disappointed.

    That is awesome! In my opinion MB has the best proportion of all OO incarnation so far;even better than the upcoming MG.

    For those waiting for anything from GFF/N/MC here's Gundam the Origin version. Not sure if it's just a recolor of GFFMC RX-78 ver.ka or entirely new. It seems to have some new weapons. RD OO Qan[T] Quantum burst mode; webshop limited. And new RD announcement: Tallgeese III. After Wing Zero now this...hopefully all EW suits too.

    MG OO Qan[T] have clear green parts for its eyes. But that's because the model itself comes with a lot of clear green parts, and said parts just molded there along with other green parts for manufacturing efficiency. Not a sign of Bandai coming back to old ways. As for why Bandai ditched colored clear parts, well, it's a good way to boost marker or paint sales . But seriously, I don't think it's easy to change the color of those neon green parts, so to make it easier for custom color, Bandai just gave us a "blank slate" instead. And thanks to that I ended up buying clear paints just for some tiny parts. EDIT: I just remember that MG GN-X also comes with clear purple parts for eyes and chest orb. And mono-eye of MG Sinanju too. ============ Some news from new hobby magazines: HGUC GM Cannon II, now with colors And just announced...HGUC GM III!

    Probably a multi-purpose hardpoint to hang those cracker grenades, sturmfaust, machine gun etc. One of the pictures that bluemax151 posted shows that weird connector mounted on the shield. It seems that the ability to mount the accessories in various configurations is this RD selling point

    More pics on upcoming RD Zaku II: It seems that it's possible to have this Zaku on twin shoulder shields or twin shoulder spikes configuration. Weapons mounted. Somehow this Zaku is bigger and much bulkier than RX-78. Aren't they supposed to be roughly equal in size?

    I brought up light-up gimmick topic and then later found this blog post on LED customization guidefrom this month Hobby magazine. If only we can get those custom parts easily. Don't ask Katoki to make his re-design look a lot like Okawara's. He won't listen . But if you don't like this EW incarnation, relax. Someday, in unknown future, Bandai will release MG Epyon TV version. There's still market for that. Have you check Dalong's review? As big and expensive it is, HGUC Dendrobium is still HGUC, not MG or PG. So you won't have crazy inner details or light-up gimmick like PG. It doesn't even comes with sticker/decal sheets.
