I want one but I tink I'll wait till k@ valk-ex has em up, support for the shop and great service, plus over seas shipping isn't gonna keep the early bird price "early" the blue is growing on me, kinda like the fact they are willing to produce the mecha with less screen time, brings hope! now if we could only get some regult, glaug
-
I only ment in the look of the production plastic, and I'm aware of the 80's time frame, plus I just think I should of said "cheap looking" plastic *edit and I do agree that some consider yamato to walk on the holy stuff
-
i'm thinking those big hands might work on the 1/48 w/ some minor modification? might give a different look? I still am not sure about this set it looks toyish to me, although I'm gonna get it for completism( but not display)..............anybody else think it looks a little to toy ish(early eighty's tranformer? gi joe power armor? cobra power armor(the battle suit w/ different hands?)
-
trying to find out this info, anybody know? also I'm starting to think that the vf19 is vaporized? with everything coming out ahead of it?

I was looking at that new photo with the monster in a enhancement program(inhances internet downloads)for viewing, anyway it looks like all the seams are shaded, kinda like model builders do when they pre/post shade? anyway was curious if this was done on the prototype or is that an origanal model from that guy now working for yamato? and does anybody have a guess on the release date, I count 4 items out there that we don't have-the armor 1/60,max Q-rau 1/60, vf-0 1/100 and the stands for all scales, oh and the 19fp....plus monster? so...dam and the new 1/60 miria figures so seven items out for us soon or later? *edit children are now not going to college need money for yamato worship....
-
okay, wow!, then hmmmmm? I was hoping for a three mode display. does this mean they are still developing the other two modes? and if so when do the "know guys" think it will release?

wow, if it's not a berol than it's a copy of berol, they are used for displaying crystals, diamonds, glass sculpture, high end macross toys and I've even seen them used with Ice sculptures-that base is a style the used about 6-8 years ago,I'll find a catalog photo of it if I can.......still very cool! -

nice!, is that a berol light table? I have one but it has a wooden edge around it but it looks like that, just wondering? -
thanks, ewilen I just went there (to the link) that definitely is blue. those pictures in the thread look like purple to me anyway thanks-calvin edit*>this is the blue? right?
-
don't wanna sound numb, but is anyone sure this is the max? it looks like purple too me? I was thinking it was the CF Q-rau?
-
yes I think the reduction in cost is most likely due to the removal of a figure in the package, they figured that they could make more with seperate releases of the pilots! we macross collectors will buy anything, anything good well most of us any way now how likely is a battle pod/regult in our near future? they seem to be picking up the realease dates or production scheudule? my bank account can only take so much
-
this must mean that the first Q-rau sold well for them to release a variant in another color? this is good more mecha to follow from other areas within the macross universe!
-
hey- got one issue myself the little flap door on the bigger door for the t-bar(in front of front landing gear) when in battroid mode broke off, looks like there are two little nibs that are completly gone.... I'm finding the paint is better on my millia than on the max's I picked up,as for the leg issue I had the rubber plug thing on the 1a when they first came out, still the 1/48 scale is best even with some flaws IMHO, one last thing:anybody notice on the 1A head that the sides of the head fall off?
-
hey guys- this character got me thinking??....would anybody like to see a non-tranformable vf-1 that was in battroid that was perfect in everyway?detail scale ect? I just think that has always been missing from the available line of macross, I just always wanted a toy with the hasegawa look(filled in sides, ect) I figure it would sell and it would open up a new market for yamato-affordible well detailed interchangable vf-1,destroids,enemy mech ect with out the major r&d costs of the other scales(1/60-1/48-1/72)any way didn't want to open another thread so.........
-
well i like, but would now like to see a set of figures from DYRL, if the quality and sculpt is there then this fills a gap for us fans..... I personally always wanted a high quality set of the cast to display with the mech, I always felt that the cast played as much of a role in the appeal of the show as the valks and mecha, umm.......great story with great characters and great ground breakin mecha=macross...........and now leads to MW , full circle

I bought 5 total(max's) and all but one was bad, really bad I managed to take three apart and make one good one, so now I do have 2! yeah what yamato did with this release is just make me think twice about pre-odering them ever again also I agree with "dejr8bud" about putting up with sloppiness for $200.00 usd. anyway I still buy them, I don't know why but from now on I will only buy after a review from someone here (graham or anybody that has an objective point to make about future releases) no morer blind "yamato walks on the holy stuff"for me! anyway I do remeber the drought.................doom<insert bootlegs, bandai and $1,200 dolloar taka-whatevers? I am still thankful they make them, But I would like to see them step it up a little!, and as far as new proceses go, white paint over anything is always a challenge, but not impossible the trick is to try different processes before mass production starts, I mean that much hit and miss paint is silly..............and why the change in style from the 1/60's why now did we need the white interior shoulders? did anybody complain about the 1/60's? or even the gunmetal head lazers? I hope they read this because i still beleive that the out side japan market is bigger than people say I feel we play a part in keeping them up and floating, so I think they want us to be happy?
-
10,000's muffins cookies are much more fun! I fixed the gunpod by boring(spelling?) out the hole just a little with a x-acto #11 worked well for the t.v. armor! anyway the qc is slipping no doubt about it but I still want my 1/48ths! I was really disapointed with the max and I imagine miria will have some of the same issues? now I hope the reissue the arm armor, But i doubt it

a buddy of mine told me today that yamato and toycom are the same company in a round about way?(he works for tru-japan/sp in the buyers department)also he said that out of all the products they make(yamato/toycom)that 1/48,1/60 macross toys carry all the other products for the entire company , meaning R&d, cad and production costs. he then went on to say that he wouldn't be surprized if yamato kept this line open for the long haul! I'm sure your wondering"what the hell is calvin saying?" well I just think that people in the "know" have alot of the same thoughts we have on yamato(when will the mighty cash cow will stop?) and they are banking on quarterly sales because of trends in these company's and as my freind says "well it's my ass if I'm wrong!!" they are under alot of pressure to bring the hot domestic and international toys in for bottom line results, the bottom line is money, yen/dollor it's all money. when the profit goes yamato/macross will go unless they(yamato) can find the new cash cow? *edit: he also noted that yamato has become tight liped with most of the buyers in recent months? security is up....why?
-
nice C&D, I was just thinking more like this.............. To whom it may concern- your product is sub-parr and we don't want it .....go away
-
I personally think we will see all of them! yamato would be crazy not to finish this series they almost can't afford not to finish it i would think? as for the very next 1/48 I'm thinking CF(fastest release effort, just a repaint) then I'm hoping for 1/48 destroids(will buy them time to solve the 1/48 two seater issue) and then also I think we will see a lot more 1/60 enemy mech/color vari's
-
my son is five so he just started collecting with me! he collects 1/60 I get 1/48 cause I'm older he seems to be understanding the "don't bite the hand that feeds ya!"thing so I don't worry about him, but my wife now she's the toy destroyer
-
I think a night fighter scheme(flat black bottom w/low viz bi-tone top) or I would like to see a "what if" in a rusty low viz color with wear&tear or even a space green(slate, flat with re-entery wear&tear)and finally a ww2 german camo of dark yellow(kinda dark tan)dark green and red brown or a winter white low viz with with the white wearing of to show a base color

Hey, I was just looking thru a catalog about star wars and such and they have all these things like if the card has this(off color) then it's worth this much? although I don't collect star wars it got me thinking has a standard been created for our macross 1/48 prizes? Like are there any misprinted boxes or paint color versions that are off? or how bout mislabeled contents? anyway thought would make an interesting topic?
