  1. I think the black support makes the gap even worse. It doesn't look that bad in my figure.
  2. In my opinion it's a step forward in some many areas and it's better than Yamato. But it could have been better and in some specific areas Yamato was slightly better, and that sucks. In the end the Anime design is not using perfect proportions so there always will be some compromises.
  3. My advice is to go with the revivals. That paint is new and could survive more time.
  4. Fair enough. I had to ask though. Your solution is great!!
  5. This angle show my biggest disappointment with the DX YF-21. It looks a little weird on the belly, with super parts even more. The backpack separation is another drawback but it doesn't look that bad when you have the figure in your hands. Maybe it helps that everything else in that mode is great. But I don't want to sound overly negative. I still really like it.
  6. In my opinion the revival is just superior. I don't see any drawbacks in my VF-25F and it has the matte painting (very important for me), more support for the legs and a little more tambo (also important for me). It's still disappointing because it doesn't include all the tampo of Max's YF-29 nor his chest articulation. They also didn't improve the ankles, improve the plastic connector in the crotch, etc. It should have been better but it is better.
  7. Amazing work!! It's awesome!! I'm from the UK. Are you selling them? I would love to have a couple of those (I have only one valk broken but they are time bombs).
  8. UK folks, the VF-25F Revival is in discount. I've just bought one a few days ago for £131. But be aware: They are not protecting the box. This is my first thing I bought from Amazon that has arrived without a proper packaging (I've indicated to add one). And of course the box was broken. Given the price I had to accept the deal. In any case, everything was fine inside. I'm still sad they didn't bring the YF-29 Max Genius improvements. Specially the tampo. They have only added the no steps. But there are so many missing tampo compared with the latest YF-29 (which is beautiful).
  9. I always disliked the metal look of Bandai landing gears (plus the lack of inclination). I'm liking the idea of painting them white plus panel lining like you did. It looks great. Any advice?
  10. The legs are also miss-transformed
  11. The figure is so much better in battroid. It looks fantastic actually. They almost perfectly nailed. The bigger issue for me is the backpack. However, I'm not using the extra back piece. The back is holding it's position pretty well. It could be annoying when you are trying to pose it. But given everything is very tight it's not yet an issue for me. And I'm not trying a complicated pose. I guess some poses will be impossible without that extra piece and depending of the tolerances of the articulations for some people it won't be possible to avoid its use at all. That's a big design flaw in this mode. It feels a solution was possible with a little more time in development. 5 more years or so. I wish the pilot sit move automatically to its battroid position, that way it's not far from perfect transformation given I'm not using the other 2 extra pieces. The super parts also look better in this mode. Again, in flight mode the thing looks like a pinguin. It just doesn't look good. One final complain is the lack of transparent connectors for the display stand. And the one for flight mode sucks in general. For me those are critical. I find it hard to believe they were improving them with the Delta models and they came back to the ugly Frontier ones. Although, I've complained a lot in this post. I'm really happy with how it looks in general. Battroid mode looks great. And it does look much better in person than in the photos... for some reason.
  12. I like (don't love) Bandai efforts and all that painting and tampo look incredible. Yes, they took some liberties with the line art and it looks a little weird but I like they took those chances. They'd nailed the YF-19 restyling and this was a decent effort. Side by side we can appreciate the efforts of Yamato. Yes, we can see the legs and some part of the arms that we shouldn't. The legs sucks basically in every mode. The lack of tampo is also very painful for me and although they look great the rear landing gears are annoying. However, for the most part the fighter mode looks still very nice and it's a decent battroid effort. I tent to discard the inferior versions in favor of the new ones but this time the VF-22 deserves its place. About place, I think I have a first world problem given I don't have more space in the main display unit. I have a couple of Valkyries in another shelf and today a VF-25F revival will arrive (2 valks in one day, that wasn't the case even when I was living in Japan). Anyways, I will find the way. The VF-22 will return to its old place in the other shelf and the YF-21 will be most likely together with the VF-19 Advance. By the way, the YF-21 is very heavy!!
  13. Mine has arrive with no issue in the antenna. I need to check the rest but I'm so happy to see it was a good one. I'm sorry for the ones that have it. I know it's painful for a figure that expensive.
  14. Boobs are important in the movie!! And about your question...
  15. The following could be considered spoilers for some people: The Delta movie is closer (way more) to the anime than the first Frontier movie was to the Frontier anime. Plenty of scenes were reused. But I think their criteria of what to reuse and what to do completely new was for the most part good. I still feel that some good scene were left behind, specially Mirage, but I can't complain too much.
  16. Not her, but still fairly big boobs for a petite girl.
  17. Note 3: I really really really want to see the Reina and Freya cosplay in summer Comiket. he he
  18. I just watched the movie a few hours ago. While my Japanese level is far from perfect I was able to understand most of the movie except an important little part in the last few minutes of the movie. I will try to avoid spoilers, so I can’t talk about several things. First, if you dislike too much Delta then the movie won’t change your mind. However, I can say that the movie is far superior to the anime. Maybe I was with very low expectations or maybe I am starting to lower my expectations of movies in general or maybe I was excited to see my first Macross movie in a theater; I’m not sure but I really enjoined most of the movie. The anime had several good moments but it also had too many terrible (not just bad, terrible) moments. The plot was a mess and probably without the mechas and the Macross name we would stop watching the show. Well, the movie is super focused in what it worked in the anime and they stripped almost all the crap and non-sense (so they removed a lot of things). Of course, the idol stuff is there and there are problems with the plot and character development but it’s a better plot altogether and with way better pace. It is great? I don’t think so but in my opinion is a better movie than most of us will expect from Delta. Also, as always the mechas are awesome. Note: the boobs of the girls increased their size a little. And why anime artists draw boobs as breast implants all the time? Yes, I know, big boobs in Japan means implants but still… Note2: I received a Reina gift with my movie ticket.

    Bandai DX VF-31

I went to Shinjuku to buy it. There are plenty of VF-31F in South West Shinjuku's Yamada store. Like 5 or so. The price is also nice, 18600 yen. Time to play a little with my first VF-31!!
