Lol, Jepoyako what are your GNUs doing on the edge of that toilet bowl Dont do it man! Life is worth living!

sdf will be cool, but it'll still look smaller than your 1/60 Monster... That's really going to throw off your collection. For me, I'll either get a large SDF or the monster. Probably the latter.

I dont think Graham has outright advocated for Bandai either though. If anything, I'd say he's still prefers Yamatos. But now I'm just putting words into his mouth. :X

Am I the only one that notices that the gunpod is completely misaligned when used in conjunction with the stand? That's worse than the YF-19 crooked gunpod. It looks to me that one side of the mounting bracket is actually being slotted between the intakes and the fuselage, but since the bracket is too small, it can't reach across to the other intake slot, and as such has to compromise by pulling over the gunpod.

........... Are you serious? Look at the absolute values, not the percentages. The percentage is smaller because there were votes being divided amongst a larger number of choices. >_> So the truth is, there are some people who like it or have said meh, but aren't buying any because its probably not worth the price tag. That is not so hard to believe.

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.3

I started figure shopping/browsing locally about last year, but its a real pain to get around town getting to the shops. Especially since I live in West Van, and most shops are in Richmond. Regardless, here are a few places: Sakura Media in Richmond Center: Has the largest collection of 1/60 Yamato Toys I've seen in a single shop. Also has some trashy 1/100 Toynamis. Also has a few VF-1 variants, but not so many. Soul of Anime in Rich. Center: Has a single VF-1 Low Vis, but mostly stocks up on Revoltech stuff. You'll find just about any Macross Revoltech there. Ultra Action Toys (Pacific Plaza): Has a lot of preorders, and I believe I saw the VF-25s on preorder here back before it was out. I think you can still get them to ship it in for pickup now. JHobby (Union Square): Has a lot of old stuff. I found a SDF-1 and some GNUs there too. Also a bunch of assorted model kits (YF-21 and so on) Sakura Media in Metrotown: Has some revoltechs, and has quite a few 1/55 VF-1s I think. Crystal Mall: there are 3 different shops that sell relevant stuff in Crystal Mall (all on second floor) but I dont remember their names. Just walk around, you can't really miss it. Most of them carry only Bandai VFs though. -
Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.3

Sak Media in Greater Vancouver (Richmond) said they werent getting the DX or the 1/72 Model kit anytime soon. Dunno about the others. I haven't seen any preorder places list it on their websites yet either. Best bet is to try asking Richmond's Ultra Action Toys, as they usually deal largely in preorders for incoming shipments, but they have no website, and I haven't been there in a while. Tell me what you can find, I'm interested as well. -
you didnt show your answer to the most important question here. Okay, I've had my fun. I'm done derailing the topic now XD
-
Its sorta like how when Megatron transformed into a gun, other people had to hold him. Now when your VF-1 transforms...
-
We were talking about these planes that transformed into breasts and how much we were willing to pay for them.
-
It kinda does already. Just look at that bust size! Even the yf-19's uniboob doesn't compare!
-
Also Deliciously... Flat.... Ch- I mean LOLICONS LULZ Klan Klan is awesome
-
I smell a case of DFCism.
-
I find the results on breast-popularity more interesting than those on the VF-25. Is this wrong?
-
Agreed. I'll wait for the FP version this time. But I'm not going to buy multiples of palette swapped mecha again >_>
-
That problem exists on the VF-0S too. Old issue being replicated >_>
-
I didnt like the way the DX was portrayed in fighter mode, which is what usually matters most to me. I have to say that I like Michael's long fighter gunpod, despite having no interest in the character, but I cannot see his gunpod mounting properly with the DX's stubby nose gear.

Seriously, a flexidisplay, once balanced is invincible. The plastic tops have great grip, and the joints can be tightened to whatever level you want. Best of all, its simple, sturdy and made of solid single pieces. V2s are $14, which means the difference between them and the Gundam stands are about 5-7 dollars. Well worth it imo. Also, some of the Gundam stands just wont hold your fighters or half Gerwalks because they force you to displace your gunpod. So unless your gunpod position is super floppy, you're not going to get away with tilting it to the side... Which really does nothing more than accentuate the QC problem on your model.
-
Eh... It looks like you had to compensate a bit to make things work with Gundam stands. Like flipping down the gullet, putting up the backpack thrusters... Also the connecting bracket is holding it just by the edge. The yf-19 is big, but not even as close to heavy as the VF-0. Good luck keeping that thing steady on a Gundam stand.
-
I still think some of the cheapest and best stands are the Flexidisplays at LAFtoys. Especially their V2s which come out soon.
-
Count me in for the buyers list too. There's no difference if you do it on a CF or an Ivanov/Nora right? Other than that Ivanovs tend to have more mechanical issues? XD - Holy crap, you're right. The SV-51s are 40% off o_o.
-
Whoa thats awesome. But wouldnt you save some money buying the CF version to paint it? I like this paint scheme better than any of the official SV-51 schemes, which is probably the main reason why I've held back from buying it. If they sold this, I'd gladly pay. Btw, doesnt this belong in the Modification forums?

Econ 101 brought to you by VFTF, lol The only way it'd be cheaper would be to get it yourself (thus incurring no shipping/retailing/management cost on their part) straight from manufacturing. Except that's not feasible, as informal inventory behavior starts to occur, and you accrue extensive inefficient costs for each person who is doing that as nothing is being subjected to economies of scale.
