  1. Except that cloth won't hold up those sort of shapes... Unless either you have a wireframe underneath, or have a ton of starch. Course, if that was the case, you'd NEVER want to remove it, as reapplying starch and getting it back into shape will be the biggest pain.
  2. Pitchforks and torches are standard party instruments. They are in no way threatening. That's what Graham said... And as you can see, it doesn't mean that the VF-4 is at the top or even on Yamato's list. It was only on the list of recommendations that Graham suggested to them. Different story all together. I hope what he meant by exciting stuff werent more repaints of VF-1s. We know the HWRMKII is on its way... and I doubt Graham would have to 'recommend' things that Yamato was already planning to work on, so we shouldn't expect the VF-4 in the next few years. Hopefully they'll release easy to manufacture, but refreshing items, like the 1/60 M+ Ghost (easy to manufacture, small number of moving parts). Still praying for a VF-17 though.
  3. Shin was a great pilot... In a F-14. >_> Put everyone in F-14s and he'll be top 3. Otherwise, he wasn't impressive at all in a VF-0.
  4. there are some metal pins in the kit. That is all for metal.
  5. Glad YAmato hasnt forgotten about Graham though Good news, now at least not 100% of our whining goes to the wind. Only 99% now XD
  6. Anything that makes it more line-art accurate is a plus. Basically a law around here. I hope they start doing every other valk this way too... and even 2nd/3rd editions. Even though the toys don't have weapon bays, its just cool to think about potentially having the space XD
  7. Meh, I just like the idea of folding landing gears. Conserves space; more room for internal missiles
  8. folding landing gear is pretty cool!
  9. bent head lasers and no neck gave it away. XD Also holes in shield. And what the hell. Here's a stab at it. couldn't do anything creative with it though, and Akiha looks much better with her dress on.
  10. VF-25F: Omoi... >_< Konata: HIKKUSO! Unfortunately, I can't really contribute to the whole racy-girl theme. I only have one semi-strippable figure, but she's a little too stiff to be interacting with a VF
  11. ComicKaze, that's a sticker sheet. He even says so. btw, i pmed you Hikuro. Thanks
  12. I thought we saw this announced in the GNU thread a while ago... But it was a VF-1S I think. No one really seemed too perked though, as it was yet again, another VF-1.
  13. I think that's heavy use of preshading.
  14. What the hell? Is Alto carrying Mikhail's gun? Actually it looks kinda different. And is that supposed to be a transformable YF-19 model kit?!?!? Damn that stuff looks so amazing, I wish I could buy it
  15. The sculpt looks amazing, and I think they got the hair spot on. What concerns me though is with sculpts like that, clothing may be difficult to remove without having large compensations >_<
  16. I'm guessing its not something a little paint can fix. Hopefully they'll fix it before they tampo it over a VB-6 And I don't think her expression is bad. If I were to be picky, I'd say that her mouth seems to be a little off, causing her cheeks to look a little swollen... but otherwise it's just fine.
  17. How about a better VB-6 >_> and a VF-17!!
  18. looks like many of hte people on this forum finally got what they wanted.
  19. you don't remember this? I think they spent an entire episode half season dealing with how Shinji was envious of how his father diverted all his attention to Rei.
  20. Lies. She's happy when she's with Shinji's father.
  21. I would think that the whining here would scale down if people could just get their broken out of box Yamatos and Bandais exchanged a few blocks away the next business day. We whine cause there's not much else we can do about it. Also... Regardless of who designed, or who approved the VF-25, or even what direction/audience they were aiming for, it doesn't change that the DX just doesn't visually meet the standard I expected. It's not a brand bias, I just call it as I see it. Yamato's VF-11 is coming out, and I'm nearly as unimpressed. That's before even considering the potential avalanche of Yamato QC issues. If it is an entire Chinese or inexperienced team that put together the VF-25 DX, my first thoughts be: it was actually a pretty good job for an inexperienced team. But if they plan to do more in this sort of economy-style, they should try to make it cheaper.
  22. Or maybe Yamato should have stuck to a 1/72 scale like every other scale plane model. The VF-25 model kit team is not at fault here.
  23. It just looks to me like its just been darkened overall. the orange has turned reddish.
  24. I don't really get why I'd be paying Yamato-level prices for a play-toy when I'm already trading off accuracy for durability. The DX would make more sense if it was under the $80 price tag. But I think I'm just reiterating my older posts now. =X
