While the new version is nice and all.... I hope they fix that giant crack running vertically through the front of the YF-19's legs.

Bandai/Tamashi Nations 1/100 lineup. 2009 takeoff!

Im not seeing a huge difference between it and the DX in battroid honestly. Although the 100 seems to be begging to be panel lined. -

for $18 bucks, i woulda gone for the GNUs straight away. But regardless, revoltech's YF-19 has tons of anime inaccuracies as well. Also, why is it that the fastpack is not grey?? -

Frankly, I'm a little disappointed with the accuracy as well despite parts swapping. Btw, cart... Why does the gunpod for fighter mode look like it's bent like a banana? -
Well at least then we get Robocop... Which would be awesome! Just imagine the economy stimuli that would created from all the Robocop cash ins!

Oh no, I get the angle and the implication... But I really didn't see how A raping B led to C getting knocked up. Unless there's some way of remote impregnation that I don't know about. Maybe a higher sense of humor is needed. -
Settle down, Schiz was just playing around.

(dont worry I dont get it either) -
that vf100 vf-25f looks exactly like the DX. With high hips and lack of ankle guards and all. It is a partsformer right? And they still couldn't get it to look right? If they are fragile, then its even worse than the DX.
-
Yea i think its the Shin that has the white stripe. And I think there may be others that do not droop either, but the chances are kinda 50/50. The reissued VF-0S + Ghost Booster had a second iteration too IIRC, which was V2.5, which supposedly solved the issues. You should really check the VF-0 thread XD
-
Most of the version 1's of the VF-0 line has that issue. I think some of the VF-0As had it too. All of the VF-0S V.1 has that problem. Its to do with the gap between the intakes and the body of the plane that leads to a drooping fuselage when the nose section is not being directly held up.

The ground clearance in battroid is pretty low for these, i noticed. Look at that YF-19. Can't really help it though, the arm is a little short, even at full extension.

I agree about the qual test being one of the best dogfights... But it disappointed me that it was a good dogfight scene done when Alto was still getting better at piloting, so we didn't get footage to accurately reflect his peak performance. Mac0 had some good dogfight scenes too, although Shin still sucked XD. At least Focker was pretty good, but they should have given him more time in a plane. As for reference points in space, there was lots of space debris they used in MacF. On top of that, fighting near in the Zentradi derelicts was awesome, and skittering across the surface of other larger fleet ships was good too... They had the props; they just didn't give it focus. You may be right about budget costs though. MacF started having to repeat clips nearer to the end.

I didn't realise we were submitting bids all of a sudden, and not just speculating like we always do. Oops. Wrong forums I guess. Btw Yamato, I'd like my 1/2000 SDF free.
-
That's a lame excuse really. Are they telling me they can't do good dogfight choreography in space, whereas they can in atmosphere? Where's the logic in that? Besides, we DID see Alto duel in atmosphere with the Zentradi rebels, and that was disappointing too. Really, I doubt the movie will be any different. It's not the situation, its the direction and focus MacF has is not closely tied to intense piloting.

What I'm saying is... If you've never transformed your YF-19 before, you mind as well not do it at all after leaving it there for years. The fuselage plastic has probably gotten brittle, and pegs that hold the neck together hasn't been worn out enough to allow a smooth, stressless transformation. So either break in your YF-19 right away, or don't transform it past gerwalk.
-
Uhm... Doesn't him not being in any sort of vehicle already put this outside of the 'piloting' skill realm? I don't count that scene because he wasn't in a VF Next, you're going to tell me that martial artists in the Macross world make great pilots.
-
probably not such a great idea to newly stress the neck of untransformed YF-19's after allowing the plastics to brittle over the years.
-
Personally I wasn't impressed with any of the pilots from MacF. Most of the show didn't even focus on dogfighting. There was a lot of battroid combat, but most of the flying took place with lame contrails and a camera that was a hundred miles out. Ozma did only one admirable thing, which was block a shot with his PBS, then started to throw Vajra limbs as weapons. That still doesn't put him anywhere near the top of the list. I can accept Max being up there, fighting in close quarters with nearly no visibility with a Meltran. (That was awesome, how come we don't have sweet scenes like that anymore?) Milia is good too, but I doubt she's better than Isamu. And Focker is also up there, tied with Isamu. That was my big problem with Frontier. No true aces that they showed off, and the most bad ass person you could find was the captain of the Quarter... Flirting with a deck of women.

I think the ones suggesting 250-300 are merely projecting their wishes... I would not be surprised if it is far far from reality.

Silly Fif. No one comes to MWF for actual cited information. People only come here to bash, complain, pity themselves for being broke, and create huge speculation or criticism over something they know nearly nothing about. But really, it's Yamato, no one knows the real price I don't think, although it seems that many have just tacked on a value with sheer confidence... although the guesses range from 250-700. Apparently it will come out about a year from now.

I like this new one better, but the limited edition kinda scares me Also, I'm not about to paint lolicon on my forehead... >_>

I agree, but I find it strange that the whole 'one shoulder loose and one shoulder tight' issue on the DX 25 (which is common) mimics the YF-19 'one shoulder flap loose and one shoulder flap tight' issue. As someone said, wasnt CAD supposed to eliminate stuff like that? Why is one side different from the other, and it's usually the same side affected too? Otherwise, Bandai's credit is besting Yamato so far in terms of QC, so they have the benefit of the doubt for now. They don't however, get much faith in terms of being anime accurate =P.
