  1. Its a remake that occurs right before the whole Lior thing in the first anime. Frankly, it's been a little too long, and I'm not really willing to reinvest my time in it, as the first one was just beyond disappointing. Hayes will probably get killed off again too, so forget it.
  2. I remember reading somewhere on the net that TTSC Season 2 would be the last season; they were going to officially announce cancellation after the finale. I also remember some people saying that it was a reliable source, but that it would never be backed by an official rep in the event that it may impact the remaining audience views for the last few shows. Regardless, I liked the series, but they started to get more and more metaphorical as they went, which eventually dragged out the series' progression until it slowed to a crawl. Also, the religious references started off alright, but just became overwhelming. Eventually it got to the point where I thought that there would be no possible way for Sarah to find John Henry after losing track of the Turk, since she would not know where to start. The last episode confirmed that to me... Finding Savannah's picture on a cell phone of one of the employees? What a stretch. At first I thought they were contracted to kill Savannah later and thus had no affiliation with Weaver, but that would mean that the terminator sent for Savannah right after would have had to have been under their control as well. And Weaver still had no incentive to murder her own daughter with her own men, even though IT was her own men who implanted the chip into Sarah. Even so, its strange that any of her employees would have a picture of Savannah.. on their cell after they died. Are they pedos? There's really no way to link this together cohesively without there being a sharp conflict with who's on who's side. Regardless, I just think the writers couldn't come up with a better idea of how to finally bring Sarah down the right path to John Henry, and used the cellphone picture as a deus ex machina. Also, I doubt that Weaver is trying to make a 'good' skynet. I thought about it before, but there is just too much evidence to contradict that. She doesn't value human life, and ruthlessly dispatches anyone who could possibly oppose her. She also loves to prey on manipulating others... I don't think any 'good' thing could emerge after being twisted by her.
  3. But its got free shipping! "Strictly prohibited the use of a motorcycle" ... That sounds like an awesome idea.
  4. Because its the closest possible comparison and alternative? It only makes sense to compare it to that.
  5. I really hope those missile covers actually flip open and don't have to be replaced like the landing gear flaps.
  6. I wonder if HWJapan is going to get it soon. I would like to try ordering from them for once.
  7. I keep coming back here to look at those pictures. Am I sick?

    HLJ Virtual Tour

So uh... Who's coming with me and my ski mask to Japan this month? >_>
  9. Hah, that thing would give 0 hip posability. Kinda makes you think about how good of a job the toy makers did.
  10. So does anyone know (or think) that the Armored Pack will fit onto the other VF-25s... With maybe the exception of Luca's? That is a lot of armor, I wonder if the wings will even hold out straight in fighter mode if the stand connector attaches only to the gunpod. The Armored Pack just looks totally ridiculous, like they just tried to slap on as many weapons as possible to it... Its barely even like a plane. But that is why it is so awesome and essential to my collection. I gotta get this even if its as much as a DX.
  11. Holy God that thing is in a class of its own.
  12. Well it was supposed to be akin to the Galactic Fairy... Or more like anorexic fairy.
  13. 1. VF-0's advanced tech. While the VF-0 does feel like its more advanced than the VF-1, it remains inferior to the YF-19, VF-19 and so on. The M7 and M+ series was produced before M0, but thankfully, retains their tech superiority. I can't make any excuses for the VF-1 though. 2. The insect-waist. I think the VF-1's conical waist was pretty thin as well. I believe that the SV-51 and the VF-25 have a similar waist transformation system, but with the SV-51 being the thicker of the two. That's not such a great comparison though, since the SV-51 is also very lanky for a VF. The YF-19 has a pretty thin waist that transforms upwards as well, like the VF-25, and I thought it was of acceptable diameter. Keep in mind that Japanese mecha all have a tendency to bulk up the legs, chest and arms, so it makes the waist seem pretty small. Just look at Full Metal Panic's tech progression of Arm Slaves. Fatter = Low tech. I don't mind that the VF-25 is more frail than any of the previous VFs if SK just wants to do something different for a change. I'm all for valks that look different from each other, as in brings in a new line of refreshing toys with innovative designs. But I do hope that the next Macross series will do something different again. 3. My biggest gripe with the VF-25 design isn't the waist, but rather how the wings lock in battroid. While it's a new approach to the battroid design, not only does it look delicate, but it creates a weakness in the toy wing hinge, where the wings fold up. The super packs have so much weight there that the entire body and wings tend to droop in gerwalk mode, and there's not a lot you can do about it. On top of that, just think about a situation where the VF-25 was thrown into buildings ala YF-19 vs YF-21. Those wings would snap off immediately if their back collided with anything. The wing/back folding design is brittle, relies soley on the strength of a hinge, and is fixed into a position where it is highly vulnerable. You'd think that the fictional VF designers would avoid designing something like that.
  14. Yea just place the tips of the flexidisplays into where the notches for where the knees usually are, and things will be totally secure.
  15. Its just a few stripes and decals over the F-14. It's not even a VF-0
  16. I dont mind either way if they release the armor pack as standalone or bundled with Ozma. I bought and assembled only Alto with this possibility in mind. I'm not about to take my Alto apart either to fit super/armor packs. I will mind if they make it another exclusive deal >_> Also, I would personally like to fit the armor pack on Michael, since I'm not a big fan of Ozma's giant back decal, that will just get shredded by the armor pack anyway. So hopefully things will work out and i can get Michael and the Armor pack separately.
  17. Whoa totally didn't see that. Awesome. Is that a bundle though? or is it just the super pack? Wouldn't a super pack fit just the same on any other VF-25?
  18. I haven't really been paying attention; has the Armor Pack for the 1/72 become available yet?
  19. Whoa that's damn good! Now make it PT, 1/60 and you can have my $250. XD
  20. Those pics look great, but the legs still hang too low
  21. Could you post a few pictures as to how your Ozma broke apart? I know it may be painful
  22. More like they defy gravity.
  23. Whoa, that paint job on the shoulder really bugs me. The others are passable, but the shoulders would ruin it for me.
  24. I personally like that Macross didn't give complex transformation sequences to the capital ships. Even though it just looks like the ship has just tilted up and is now moving on a different axis =P. Its overall form won't change much, transformations really just giving the ship a little more maneuverability than before, and allows it to bring all of its guns to bear on the target, where as before, guns mounted in the rear sections (the legs) were obstructed by the forward sections. If there was any sort of level of transformation that could change the overall shape... Just think of the hell it would cause for the people inside.
  25. I didnt really look that closely for that photo... But you're right. o_o. Let the panic commence (if it hasnt already) XD
