  1. It's still PT, it just comes with some extra parts to make it look even better =P. I don't mind at all if this is the new direction Yamato will take, especially approaching heavily-anime-magic fighters. Just make sure the parts are of the same plastic or at least have the same shade of coloring as the rest of the plane =P. Don't need a Bandai crisis in here.
  2. VF-11 with Protect Armor
  3. Is it really that unreasonable for the 1/60 monster to be released? Considering the success of the 1/2000 SDF, another risky creation, seems like they may be able to justify producing the fabled coffee-table-sized toy after all. Unfortunately, this will undoubtedly have it priced similarly to the 1/2000.... But hey, at least it'll be cool to look at (Maybe we'll get a 1/100 version after too ^^)
  4. And Bandai decided to make their jet-only model kit to not be in 1/72 or 1/48, the popular scales for most jet-only models, or even the same scales that Hasegawa and even Bandai themselves have used until now... Why? x_x
  5. I like the full size decal sets, although the Ranka is a little too green and a little too sparkly for me. Yet all we got for the 1/72 VF-25s were the bird-poop splatter decals =_=.
  6. Is anyone else not bothered by how the thrust vectoring nozzles are blocked from angling upwards by the rear wing roots? Is that just the consequence of kit-bashing older designs?
  7. Yea Graham mentioned the tip extension in his review. He missed it too.
  8. It looks a little more acceptable without the boosters, but the wings are still just too small. And thrust nozzles are still blocked from angling upwards by the rear tips of the wing roots. =/ I would LIKE to enjoy this thing, but I can't Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the head face to the rear in plane mode? Doesn't that mean that in battroid, the head will have a permanent forward facing antenna in the center? I don't see any sort of pivot for it.
  9. That's never going to happen with a PT toy. Unless you want to have giant gouges in the leg bays. PS. Yamato, don't switch over to the gloss finish. If I wanted a paint-scraping DX that doesn't fit in with the rest of my collection, I'd go get one from the bargain bin. Or maybe from a happy meal.
  10. I think you're right. I just noticed that there is an edge that sits flush with the shape of the booster if it were to telescopically retract.

    Yamato 1/60 VF-X

That is the most intimidating head in the franchise. xD
  12. I don't hate it as much as others here... But I find it kind of silly that the wings are positioned so far back now that the roots obstruct the movement of the thrust nozzles. Are the wings supposed to sweep back like the VF-19? Even if the toy can't do it, what about the show? How can it swing back with the boosters still aligned correctly? o_o And how is battroid going to work now? It looks like it'll swing the wings inward like on the 25, but that'll make the entire battroid backpack too long and bulky with protruding thrusters. Oh well. It does look alright otherwise, and the paint scheme is nice. I think I prefer backward swept canards though.
  13. Its okay, we won't tell anyone... We'll keep it between ourselves >_>
  14. Anyone else getting this problem now? Perhaps its past the DX plastic expiry date
  15. Kind of reminds me of when the butcher flips the carcass of a splayed chicken on its back and turns it this way and that before dismembering it. >_>
  16. Havent been enough Kathy's either.
  17. Let's hope they dont deform as badly as the PVC in Bandai's offerings. Time to get the blow dryer ready.
  18. Pretty impressive. I have to admit I was skeptical in the beginning.

    VF-0D

I hoping there wont be as much overhead, and thus more probability for releasing just the reactive armor, even if we wont realistically see the VF-0D. Just blind hope though? X_X

  21. Wow the eyes look... hysterical on that one.

    Bandai SD Infinite

Oh cool! I got the idea that it couldnt do that from the video review. Thanks ^^

    Bandai SD Infinite

Its too bad that it doesnt have reversed knee joints for gerwalk, but I still think they did an amazing job considering with this one. Im mostly lukewarm about the 25's design though, but I'd love to have some other SD VFs
  24. Thanks for the tip. I'll try that
  25. I got the same reply from HLJ about the VF-22, but still no further response from them after months. ...
