  1. The first side fighter picture seems to show enough clearance but the second one from behind shows the buttstock dragging on the ground once the front of the cannon has been raised into position.
  2. Considering how poor the 1/60 pilot figures were for the DXes, I couldn't really expect a lot from a 1/60 Ranka in the same lineup. It is small, but really, they could have done much better.
  3. I think you mean Perfect Transformation. Meaning generally (although with some factors of lenience) that the toy can transform between fighter, battroid and gerwalk modes without removal and addition of new parts. Yamato PT 1/60's include a series of VF-1s, VF-19, VF-21, VF-11, VB-6. I may have missed some. There are PT 1/60 toys not produced by Yamato as well, of which the most popular atm is probably the VF-25s produced by Bandai.
  4. Its upside down, but its hard to tell with the clear scheme. I don't know whats all the rave about the clear exclusives anyway.
  5. Read the interview. Doesnt make sense: Anton Yelchin: When Connor sent Kyle back, that was a world in which Kyle wasn't Connor's father. So when he sent him back, it then started this chain of the Connor that you have in [all the sequels] where Kyle Reese is his father — it'll be interesting how they tackle that [in future sequels] if we ever get to a point we have to send [Kyle] back. Uh. So... Connor existed before Kyle wasn't even his father yet? So Connor had some other father who basically was phased out of the picture when Kyle came into play. So what does it even matter IF Kyle died in TS? He's going to have his original father for backup sperm. Moronic. Once you start playing around with the idea of alternate futures and pasts, you're basically going to have a situation where a. You won't be able to win the war in all alternate realities no matter what you do. b. You won't be able to lose the war in all alternate realities no matter what you do. c. There are fundamentally infinite realities regardless of the existence of time machines as difference choices in each reality fork into new realities. d. If the characters in the reality that TS belongs to is indeed one of many realities, then they will realise that no matter what happens to Kyle Reese in TS (or Sarah and John Connor in a past of one of the realities) will affect the reality they are currently in. There will be no 'disappearing' John effect if his mother was killed off, since that would only spawn a NEW alternate parallel reality where there is no John. John in the TS reality will continue to persist. e. Time machines will be mighty complex, as not only will they need to designate a time and place, but a dimensional plane as well. Which past do you send someone back to? The effects would spawn a new future, but not change the pre-existing future. Even going forward in time is a problem (happens in TSCC, even though it is outside of this continuity loop). Simply put, you open up a whole can of worms that will completely undermine the logic behind the first two movies, as no matter what Skynet does now or in the past will ever matter, as it will only affect the Skynet created in new alternate realities.
  6. You're right. The internet comic strip/flash movie reel was not all that great. Other than providing you a little bit of background, it was 90% low budget flash cutout animations. However, there's even more information to be had from the flash webgame thing, if you have the patience to go through it. You still get a large portion of the same info from the game if you really pay attention and read all the logs.
  7. Doesn't look like Deadspace at all. There was nothing about no memory or whatever in DS, and you had a crew. Also DS was heavily about cult-like beliefs, world-destroying strip mining, and secretly covered up near-satanic research. That was all aside from Isaac's own personal dramatic baggage with Elizabeth and so on. DS looks like it had 4x more depth and story than this movie.
  8. Hmm, I'm not quite sure I understand Vifam. If the legs are raised relative to the body, doesn't that raise the landing gears and thus decrease the clearance between the locked arms and the ground? I guess we'll find out when you mod yours and take a few pictures. Who else thinks that the expanded sniper gunpod and the collapsed fightermode gunpod will be separate pieces like in the VF-25F? Who also shudders at the amount of banana-bending that will occur with all those PVC sniper tines? XD
  9. I think the major thing is to fix the looseness issues. Chest locking only affects the battroid fans, so I could care less =P j/k It wouldn't cost them a lot to do just that, and they can reuse the mold for the most part. Throw in a refreshing paint scheme (not those uninspired palette swaps) and I'm in.
  10. I dont know for sure, but I cant remember the buttstock being so far back when mounted in fighter mode either. On top of that, it seems that the gun is missing those pinkish markings along the side. Thats okay, cause I think the pink is a terrible choice of color anyway. Also... those legs dont look like they're anywhere close to locking with the main body in fighter mode; they just hang way too low. Its like having giant valleys in your plane =/. Even though the VF100 series doesnt have DX shopping cart wheels, the rifle is still sagging on the ground. From the picture, it doesn't look like its a height problem - there is enough clearance due to the longer landing gears, but the mounting of the gun is just insecure. =/. Why can they never get the VF-25G right? I shudder to think what will happen with the VF-27, which requires the landing gears to go through the gun. Actually, you know what. If the legs are locked into position correctly, the rifle will have EVEN LESS clearance than it does currently. Since there's basically no space between it and the ground already, would that mean a correctly-locked fighter mode will cause the rifle to prop up the landing gears?
  11. Its looking pretty PVC to me, Graham. The vertical stabs are quite thick, probably to resist PVC bowing. In fact, even the VF-25G's thick single antennae seems to show a little bit of curve.
  12. When you compare the PT toy to a single-mode model kit, its not going to stand a chance of course. That's not even fair, especially with the anime magic employed in the YF-19. I agree that the 19 suffers from floppiness and looseness, so I can understand why people who really enjoy playing with their Yammies (or like Battroid mode in general) will steer away from the YF-19. Otherwise though, in terms of appearance, they came as close as they could, which still stands true, as its the only PT YF-19 out there. The YF-21 is amazing though, just more fickle than what you'd expect in a toy.
  13. Yea, it doesnt look like the foot thrusters can be adjusted nor can the wings be moved. :/ Even 1500 yen seems pricey for this. I'd guess it'd be less than 1000
  14. yea they look kinda gummy and blurred. i prefer more crisp paint detail.

    yamato's next move

(and too much of our money)

    yamato's next move

    It's okay. I love tuna.
  17. Uh... You do realise that is the REVOLTECH yf-19 being shown above right? The GNU YF-19's gunpod size is a little larger than the revoltech. One of the differences though is in how the Revoltech's is fatter but shorter, where as the GNU is longer but thinner.
  18. yea, but look how small the YF-19 gunpod is XD But it is canonically small though
  19. I think if that was the case, he'd just superglue the entire thing together and keep whooshing it =P. It doesn't seem like he cares for the transformation =P
  20. Can't you imageshack it? you can do entire albums in imageshack now under a single URL.
  21. Ha, the Raven's VF-11 kinda makes me think that he pissed his pants, with the yellow crotch and all. Protect Armor looks bad ass though. That shield looks like it came straight out of the Reactive Armor from the VF-0 the VF-11D is pretty sweet; I'm a sucker for 2 seaters, but the MAXL has always been like a joke =/.
  22. Wait... With the new Alto Armored coming out that includes the new Armor pack support pieces, plus a sniper rifle... Does that mean that Ozma's will include the Sniper Rifle and the support pieces too?
  23. I would say that the VF-11's transformation was more complex than the VF-25, if you wanna start comparing these two companies' latest releases. Anime accuracy aside, and just in terms of QC, thus far, the VF-11 is winning. The VF-25 had few reports of breakages, but lots of reports of loose (or overly tight) joints on one side, a consistent issue with low paint durability and paint/color matching problems on the RVF. I agree it is still too early to say for a Yamato product, but we should keep a lookout for these sort of issues on the VF-11. If they're not there 2 months down the road, then I think a winner is pretty clear.
  24. Are you kidding? The latest Bandai toy offerings made me only miss Yamato more >_>
  25. Landing gear are a little short, but the lineart matches up with it. And besides, it's still much longer than the DX VF-25 landing gears!
