Aha! Thanks for the explanation, I remembered grace doing that but didn't connect it I have such a hard time understanding grace's reasoning that it didn't occur to connect the two. So then the question is, are the Vajra peaceful if left alone?? Obviously Leon and Grace want em dead for the Fold Crystals within them but I dunno... There must be a better motive than fold crystals.

Does anyone have an explanation for the "inspiring hate" thing that this series keeps steering towards? What the hell would be the benefit of making us HATE the Vajra? We're already killing them, so it's not like it helps unless I don't know, hate makes the Vajra stronger. WHAT THE HELL. SERIOUSLY. Hate based human instrumentality project? Gah, I just can't see the benefit in it.

Excellent work! I'm a decent artist but I can't draw people all that well-- so I generally stick to cars and mecha. Anyhow excellent work on that, I'd love to see what you can do with Michael and Klan or Luca and Nanase <3 One thing though, you have Alto smiling, that fool never grins about anything e_e

question about overtechnology: precisely what is covered under the scope of overtechnology? More advanced processors? Lasers? Cold Fusion? Gravity Control? What exactly is overtechnology and where does it cross the threshold of what human ingenuity is capable of producing? Or rather, in the Macross universe, BEFORE the ASS-1 came to earth (really poor choice of acronym, seriously) where was human tech? Thanks, RF-26 AAC

Clearly, the Vajra are NOT invincible; but there has to be some yet-unexploited weakness that will undoubtedly turn the tide, unless this series takes a twist and has a 'bad ending' so to speak. Anyone else care to speculate?

Macross F is totally sexually charged... Seeing Minmei's tatas didn't give me a boner, it made me embarassed. The only characters/situations with characters that turn me on are the ones with Hayase and KlanKlan. Um, the locker scene was probably the most erotic thing I've ever seen in Macross. God though, KlanKlan is effin hot. Even if she's not real I'd totally hookup with her. 2nd most erotic was when Michael is practicing sniping and Klan's all like "come in, it's late"... and michael says something like "Are you asking me to spend the night with you?" and Klan gets all flustered. hehe, I loved that. As a sidenote, the sexual charge in Macross F is SOOO strong, I don't dare let my gf know I even watch it, let alone watch it with her. There's just too much boobaction going on. hrn, I think even though it was a complete creative murder of the show RT did do *some* things OK. I will reiterate for the like, 4th time this thread that I never said the Minmay/Minmei music was good in english, even when I was 5 I thought it was AWFUL. But the OP is better, and some of the BGM is really good. This thread is NOT calculated to make a Macross fan's blood boil, just intended to start discussion. -RF-26 AAC

Ok, I got Lego Digital Designer today and I am going to get Google SketchUp and try to render it in 3d so you guys can kinda understand where I am going with it, and also because I want to see whether or not I can make it have the dimensions I want it to have without it looking ridiculous. I said I liked the Macross OP's footage better, but I dunno,... ... gosh, I dunno where to go with this but I just... like the RT OP better and the RT (Macross Saga) background music more...

Maybe because I've seen RT I've kinda tainted it for myself? I dunno, I guess it's like, eating something that doesn't taste at all like you remember it tasting... Imagine having a spoonful of captain crunch and it tastes like raisin bran instead.

I don't get excited when I hear the MA-KU-ROSSSS, I am sorry to say. I do get excited when I hear "kimi wa dare to kisu o suru", for instance... but that sad-sounding man doesn't make me excited to see the show, I feel like I could be sitting down to watch any other Japanese drama, not the coolest mecha show ever. I still get all excited when I hear the RT opening theme, but holy jesus the Macross opening is SOOO much better than the RT opening (insofar as footage is concerned) The JDM VOCAL music is the win for sure, the english minmay is absolute drivel. But seriously, I know some of you, deny it or not, saw RT first, SDF:M feels kinda empty (BGM wise) sometimes and I really wish I could have my music back but with my japanese language vocals/subtitles. Oh, and that SNES Macross sidescrolling shooter game was PURE WIN! Hell, even the lousy 8-bit NES did an OK job!

Oh, the new age garbage sucks and so do ALL of the Vocal tracks, but the Ulpio stuff is good!! DYRL had good music but I dunno, SDF:M felt like it was too quiet sometimes, or like something was missing, it didn't quite have that same epic feel as what some of the ulpio stuff does. *SOME* of the Ulpio stuff would be really good if we could just have JDM story and VO with it...

Ok, I know everyone hates the RT plotline, but it's not all bad, really!! Yes, the Minmay vocals are terrible, but what I am talking about are the Ulpio Minucci symphonic bits used in the Macross Saga section. Yeah, I grew up on RT, ok, but I've never even seen past episode 36. Never cared to. Hell, for the first 18 years I knew of the series I only had the first 5 episodes-- that's it!! I was watching SDF:M for the first time and I was like, wow, the RT music makes it so much better!! So I got to thinking, what if someone were to say, use the good, Ulpio symphonic bits of the RT soundtrack, but keep the macross plotline and japanese language voiceovers? Oh, to be more specific the vocals ALL suck and everything after Ep 36 sucks, too. I think that would make the experience better, does anyone else think the RT soundtrack is better? pleeeeeease don't flame meeee >_< edited.

I also have an alternavalk based VERY loosely on the Mig 144. The canards on that will be come the chestplate, though with a delta wing it's kinda hard to get rid of them, so I think they'll have to go off to the side VF-19 style but it's a very valk friendly design. I'd like to see your ideas for how to make some of these things work; The key problem with these damn valkyries is that I *must* include a Gerwalk version!!! It's not a valkyrie without a gerwalk configuration. I'll go ahead and doodle up a Gerwalk config. Anyways it's a loose design from which I can draw something else,

When I watched ep 1 with no sound, for a while I thought he was a chick, too!! I know better now but man, he's femmy and so is this other 18 year old Saotome kid, he's SUUUUPER femmy, but my okinawan girlfriend tells me that most japanese guys (in japan) are pretty femmy these days. Best, RF-26AAC

It's a one-off prototype from the M7-MF Era. The detailed marker drawing isn't mine, it's where I got the idea from, it's the Aurora Fighter from C&C Generals, which I modified on the drawing and figured out how it was going to transform. The battroid legs/primary thrusters fold up beneath the chassis with the intakes positioned just aft of the cockpit, and the thruster nozzles end up just underneath the rear horizontal stabilizers. I need to turn them so they look right, I just got lazy yesterday, haha. Glad to hear the support; If there is enough interest I might make more. Best, RF-26 AAC
