  1. thanks lolicon for the feedback, let's hope someone who has the -27 can take some pics. The promotional pics hardly show these hidden model mechanics.
  2. can we see close ups of those custom tabs for the VF-25s? I'd like to make my future builds better and tighter than out-of-the-box. Also would like to compare the new tabs that come by default on the VF-27, there seemed to be a pic before (*pages and pages ago), but I don't find it.
  3. does that rifle close or is it obscenely underdetailed like the gunpod?
  4. by the way, has anybody tried moving the head lasers on the VF-25? the box art shows a picture with them pointing at a higher angle than the actual default setting, my guess is that it cannot really move, anybody tried it yet?
  5. is there a glossy finish compared to the first frontier models? it looks a bit shiny to me...interesting.
  6. Landing gear (nose) is actually in the right place! the profile pictures are indeed very welcome, it shows how there's still clearance below the gun attached in fighter mode! and it's as anime-accurate as I dare to expect from a toy. Hoping for more pictures in Gerwalk and Battroid modes. Fighter-only is excellent, but I am a bit concerned about the crotch area in Battroid: seems it's never facing forward at the right angle. EDIT: comparison anime/prototype
  7. it's not that hard, try writing on a piece of paper holding the pen on the wrong (often left) hand...it's the same person, but totally different hand-writing!
  8. maybe because the photos shown are of a prototype w/the older version and not the movie version, and eventually when you get the Tornado pack bundle, the VF-25 it will have the blueish tint. I really wish Bandai, instead of producing even more DX VF-25s, developed a new V 2.0 instead: something comparable to the very promising DX VF-27 due in Feb.The VF-27 model does look wrong, besides, models can barely sustain transformations...and most important, all my other valks are 1/60
  9. did anybody notice that attachment near the tail? It seems it's meant to hold the fold booster, yet to be seen in any photo released.
  10. I think I read somewhere that May'n and Fukuyama were going to perform in Guangzhou...they get Sheryl, we only get Basara!
  11. welcome to the club...I have only one built (plain Alto), unpainted and lousily applied decals. The rest of the boxes stay untouched (and stored somewhere)
  12. this part is my favorite not even shadow striker could have said it better than Pete way to go and by the way I like perfect transformation but hate broken shoulders damn you yamato
  13. it's actually quite ironic that fate put the VF-27 and VF-25, gerwalk mode, on the same page so you can clearly compare how the 25 is pushing the limits by trying to strike a good pose, and the 27 is just looking right. Hope the toy is not just looks but also clicky and well-constructed.
  14. easy to pass on them (they're VF-1s after all). saves me room for more interesting stuff.
  15. thanks for the scans, nope, I don't think anybody posted that page before, but the same sample was on display and photographed. I finally get to see the main gears under the wings, and they look good!
  16. yet more VF-1, as if that was "the valk we were all missing"...
  17. Graham, what magazine are you talking about? Haven't seen side shots or the said improved landing gear save for a downwards pointing shot somewhere a few pages ago. I'd really love to see more new pics of the 27
  18. Glad they did, this may be my first Bandai DX Valk! Does anyone have scans of the magazine? or what magazine is it so I can check it out? By the way, noticed the Macross Frontier movie has been featured in the covers of quite a few anime magazines, but not model/toy ones...
  19. my only complain regarding the Superparts (not the battroid per se) is the elongated chest, they seem to have simply "stretched" the part so it can clip on (and completely cover or "envelop") the original battroid chest, the red polygons and the white one look much longer than in the 1/72 model or 1/60 toy. The rest is all fun and cool. my Q-rea has a weird QC problem, the backpack missile pod seems to be misaligned...and I also found the new Side-VF Q-rea are now more expensive than the Yamato 1/60 Q-rau!!
  20. mods, please close this thread.
  21. Fast builder! I think this is going to be too hard to properly build (decal, paint, panel wash...), so I will have to pass after buying almost all 1/72 Frontier kits so far and building only 1
  22. still looking like a morbidly fat old man with his pants pulled to his armpits...with a tint of blue! saw it on shelves here in Hong Kong last weekend and had to pass...the VF-25VF needs a complete retooling to convince me. The VF-27 looks promising, although the "tail" cannot be magically erased or concealed like in the anime...and is kind of disturbing.
  23. My antivirus says there is "infostealer" on that site...can anyone move the picture here or elsewhere safe? I cannot even open it. EDIT: still wondering whatever happened to the Q-rea, they even had a painted prototype way back when the VF-27 was only a 3D sculpture only.
  24. i know this has probably been debated before, but there seems to be no concluding answer: where does the shield go in the VF-27? I am not only wondering because there is a huge "tail" behind the DX toy, but because I don't remember seeing any "tail" in the anime.
  25. bandai go to hell
