  1. So, uh...which shows would YOU add to Galactica to make it a "multi-generational epic"...? Yeah, that's TOTALLY better than anything those Japanese people thought up... ...but still... Why not incorporate Zambot 3 as Voltron IV, and then the J9 trilogy as Voltrons V~VII?
  2. Here's something that I believe is unique to Robotech fans: http://www.robotech....1280&forumid=11 Heck, do Star Trek fans wonder what they can incorporate into Star Trek? Do (original) Battlestar Galactica fans do the same...? For fudge's sake, do even VOLTRON FANS wonder what other "Combining Robot" shows they can make into another Voltron...? My sources say no.
  3. But..but... SPACE PIRATES!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSeuciO2m5M
  4. Agreed.
  5. First version finished because it was, well, finished (although they didn't plan very well, leaving the numbering off for the Macross 7 characters, for example, or not covering Wendy Ryder, or having to consolidate the credits pages). It was announced as a 50-issue series, and that's how many they ran. So this is mostly a reprint (by yes, a different company), but also will have thirty issues worth of extra content.
  6. Yes, but Docking Festival is a drama CD, not part of the TV series. None of the original bridge crew shows up the series, although some other SDFM characters do.
  7. Well, uh...that's you. Those of us who are better acquainted with mecha shows know different.
  8. Simply put...the Bridge crew is fine. Global goes on to officiate Shammy's wedding, and Kim, Shammy, and Vanessa all show up in Macross 7 Docking Festival.
  9. They're around. Kim, Shammy, and Vanessa show up again in Macross 7-related material. Official documents also show that Captain Global performed Shammy's wedding.
  10. I'd also like to point out what I think is a key problem (among many, MANY problems) that the movie has: Pretty much all Gundam stories begin to get going when the hero climbs into the Gundam. In G-Saviour, the movie ENDS when he gets it.
  11. Again, just playing devil's advocate here for the most part, but...even looking at it in Japanese, could you honestly not follow the story?
  12. I'm not sure it's butthurt...I think it's just that some people think it's "a nice valk" and others don't. A simple matter of aesthetics and opinion.
  13. That's not Harmony Gold, that's just Yui.
  14. One word: LAME.
  15. I'm not sure that it was inspired by Kingdom Hospital. Both of them debuted in 2004...perhaps it was just some weird synergy...?
  16. Part 3...
  17. I gotta admit, I've never seen it. But I've only ever seen the first Highlander movie, so I'm a total n00b.
  18. Oh, sorry. Yeah, Tochiro showed off his Highlander anime DVD set this evening. I remained unimpressed. As I've said before, my feeling is that when Sean Connery dies, the movie dies with him.
  19. "My name is Ichijo Hikaru. You killed my Sempai. Prepare to die!"
  20. It's Wanzerfan. He's got a gift for seeing everything wrong. Up to and including not realizing that Robotech kept most of the original Macross episode titles intact.
  21. I aim to please, sir.
  22. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0288217/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0443771/
  23. I've been watching "Bodacious Space Pirates." The show is just okay...but the theme song is, err, BODACIOUS!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEqz5zkLjoo
  24. So, to sum up so far (and remember, these are all IN-UNIVERSE proposals, not actual, real-world ones)... Proposal #1: Galactic Divas (Minmay, Sharon Apple, Mylene, Sheryl, Ranka) holographic fashion show: REJECTED. Proposal #2: Valkyrie history show: REJECTED. Proposal #3: Miss Macross 29 Contest: REJECTED.
