    Yeah. I first saw it in the mid '90s from VHS tapes of Macross that were taped off of TV. It's also been included on the the DVD and BD sets.

    No, it's "Ima, Soku ni Iru Boku." Definitely NOT for preteens. Child soldiers, abduction, government-sanctioned rape, genocide, smashing cats with bare hands... it's all there.

    Yeah, I should've said, "You'll hate the last page"... although I stole the wording for the last sentence right out of "The Neverending Story." I also hated all those "Little did Misa know..." moments. If you want me to send you a version with all those removed, I'd be glad to. *blush* Seriously, I was amazingly embarrassed at a Mari Iijima show a few years ago where I met a few Macross fans, and one of them asked me, "Are you on Macross World?" I said yeah. He asked, "Who are you?" I said, "Gubaba." His eyes more-or-less popped out of his head and he said, "YOU'RE GUBABA!?!" Again, amazingly embarrassed. And that was just ONE GUY. Leave the lines and adoration for Mari and Tenjin. You know, the people who actually DO stuff! (But thanks!) To everyone else, THANKS!!

    Sorry, I get carried away sometimes, and kind of imagine that the "Robotech Defenders" (note the clever pay on words) are something of a hive-mind, just as if one "lying Macross purist" says something dumb, the Robotech fans think EVERY Macross purist believes it. I apologize. Honestly. And yeah, I agree that Robotech was, overall, not bad. I certainly loved it as a kid (although I knew it was three different animes stitched together. Trying to convince my classmates of this was where my bitterness started), and yes, the follow-ups are VERY different than the Macross follow-ups. But I still think that LLA is just a simple cash-grab, with HG pretending that it's something it's not. I don't think anyone signed on for a ninety-minute clip-show with barely any new footage (not "new" footage, but new footage). STILL, on the internet, you've got people who haven't seen "Mospeada: LLA" saying, "That was fifty minutes. This is NINETY! There must be a TON of new stuff in it!" Personally, while I think that appreciating Robotech in its place is all well and good, expecting anything from it at this point is kind of delusional. HG, I think, doesn't have the talent to make anything worthwhile. Even the Sentinels, in my opinion, was VASTLY wrong-headed. As wrong-headed as I think the Sentinels was, though... it's still nothing on LLA (or Shadow Chronicles).

    So, you're being a deliberate idiot here, right? Since the main reason people seem to like Robotech is that it's a "Multi-Generational Epic," (i.e., it jumps all over the place), but you're saying that "Multi-Generational Epics"don't tie in to the "original story." Interesting...

    So, all the people saying, "Hey, Mospeada: Love Live Alive was 50 minutes, this is NINETY MINUTES, so it's GOTTA HAVE a lot of new footage," those people are morons for expecting more? Or are they just gullible? Or maybe they're idiots? Please, since you sussed it all out beforehand, you can call them anything you want to. Being the genius you are, to see through HG's lies, what do you wanna call them?

    Because HG said it was a "BRAND NEW MOVIE"...? Because Tommy claimed it had an "underlying story with consequences for the characters?" Because HG said that it was delayed for more than a year because they liked the new animation so much, they ordered "additional minutes" of new animation? Where did HG ever say it was a clip show?

    I hear ya. You're better than the current crop of anime fans. No, hear me out... YOU ARE BETTER. You like real things, they only want undemanding entertainment. I know, YOU'RE BETTER THAN THEM. I mean, what adult likes Dragon Ball (besides me?). Clearly, you're amazing, thanks to Robotech. (In other words, your missive is just a tad self-serving, isn't it...?)

    To add to what Sketchley said... technically, they're for storing the covers of the Chronicle (which is why they come with the clear "pockets," which is why they cost more). You could, I suppose, remove the pockets and use them for the Chronicle pages themselves, but that's not really what they're there for.

    That's going too far, too. It certainly made ME want to search out more stuff like it (which led me pretty quickly to Megazone, Iczer-1, and Zeta Gundam). HG has never really known how to capitalize on the show (the fan-club stuff was embarrassing, and the Comico comics were pretty crappy), but the show itself was heaps better than Voltron, Battle of the Planets, or Warriors of the Wind, and almost as good as Star Blazers.
