It's not so hard to imagine...I don't recall seeing any full-sized Zentradi in the Macross 7 Fleet, for example. Or on Eden.

*sigh* It's bad enough having to deal with this question in the MF threads without it spilling over into the rest of the forum, as it were. Anima Spirita is simply the ability to regenerate Spirtia and to affect/bind/transform the Protodeviln. So, is Sara anima spirtia? Well, did anyone get their spiritia stolen in M0? No. Did any Protoedviln show up to be affected by her? No. So she may have the power of Anima Spiritia, but unless one of those two things happens, we'll never know. You may as well ask, "Could Sharon Apple have brought culture to the Zentradi?" or "Could the Milky Dolls have defeated the Protodeviln?"

...or the fact that the camera always seems to enter her room just as she's putting on a shirt... But yeah, I don't understand why people are getting uptight about this. It's all pretty tame, especially for a "Super Dimension" series. (Erm, "Super Dimension Legend Rall" is an official part of the "Super Dimension" series...isn't it...?)

Believe me, you don't want their phone number. I called them for a simple order of Hunan Beef and fried rice...they said it would take fifteen minutes. I know...when I saw 1.0 last November, I spent the first half scratching my head, thinking, "Yeah, it looks wonderful, but why did they bother?" By the second half, I realized that they were going to screw with the formula a bit, and by the next episode preview, I finally understood that they were simply giving us something familiar before REALLY pulling the rug out from under us in 2.0...

Whereas for me, the Tomino stuff is the best (um...except for ZZ...), with Zeta being one of my all-time favorite animes. WAAAY better than, say, the 08th MS Team (which I hated, although I seem to be alone on that). *shrug* No accounting for taste, eh? Oh, ye of little faith...after five episodes it really seems to be sprouting in all sorts of new directions (to me, at least).

Heh. I have a small, old paperback that has the Zentradi alphabet in it...and when I first got the Animeigo DVDs, I actually paused them a couple times to see what was written on the screen...generally, it was just "ABCDE..." and I never went any further... So how much ARE Zentradi high heels going for these days...?

Obviously, I'm not a newbie, but this seemed like the best place for this question...I've been translating both Miss D.J. and the "White Christmas" short story from "Falling Snow in the Milky Way," and I'm wondering...how canonical are these? They don't seem to contradict anything in the TV series, but do the drama albums and short stories "count"? It was my impression that (unlike, say, Gundam) everything officially Macross is equally caanonical, but I just want to be sure.

First off...it's the Galaxy is CALLING Me, not KILLING Me (although many here would argue that yours is the more appropriate title). I just through a six-week Macross marathon, and I watched them in production order, which I think "works" better than chronological. Strictly chronological would mean that you would have to watch the first three minutes or so of the first epeisode of Macross, swtich over to Zero, and then back....which is no good. So here's how I did it: 1. Macross (TV) 2. Do You Remember Love? 3. Flashback 2012 4. Macross II (You can leave this one out if you want, since it's been retconned out of existence) 5. Macross Plus (OVA) 6. Macross 7 (TV) 7. Macross 7/Macross Plus Movies 8. Macross 7 Encore 9. Macross Dynamite 7 10. Macross Zero 11. Macross Frontier

The creators of Macross need to be punched in the face...? Why is your theory more valid than the words of the people who wrote the show in the first place?
