If that's true, it doesn't bode well for the inhabitants of the Macross Frontier Fleet...I'll be waiting for them to mutate into tiny blobby things any week now... -
Sheryl Nome "A diamond Crevasse" CD released today

I don't know much about leaked anime soundtrcks, but I do know that quite a bit of Jpop gets leaked...The last Tommy heavenly6 album was online a full month before the release date, and it seems like a lot of Hello! Project stuff gets out about three to four days early. So getting Diamond Crevasse a week before it's released doesn't seem so strange. -

Dude, if you had made a design THAT COOL, you'd want to plaster it all over everything, too! -

THAT ROCKS! THANK YOU! The only places I really notcied a drop in animation quality were Nanase talking out the side of her mouth and Sheryl's small hands (well, arms, actually) towards the end...so I'm with Misa Forever on this one. But I drank the Yoshinol on this series at episode 1, so you can pretty much ignore what i say as the ravings of a bona-fide Frontier Fanboy. Great episode, though. Although, I have to say...usually these "Prelude to Battle" episodes have a real pumping up feel (one of the best episodes of M7, IMHO, was the episode BEFORE Operation Stargazer, with all the cuts of VFs getting armed), but this one, thanks to the music and Sheryl's funereal Ayumi Hamasaki garb, an almost mournful quality...which I found unique and refreshing, although I doubt that next episode's battle will go as badly as this one's ending made it seem. And yes, the Captain patting Monica's rear WAS INDEED sexual harrassment. The other Bridge Bunnies even say so. And I know I'm gonna love seeing a Monster move around the deck as though it were a Cheyenne...let's just hope it survives a little longer than those poor SOBs did... And...grrr...I hate that I no longer have Thursdays off...I hate getting to the party late... -

Because I can't even imagine what it would sound like... Yeah...probably would've made a hell of a piano player. And I guess we all know now where "Aimo (The Bird Man)" from O.S.T. 1 will fit in...just like "What 'bout my star @ Formo" suddenly made a lot more sense after seeing ep. 5. -

I like it, too...surprsingly deep, almost scratchy. Hard to believe she's just 19...she must smoke two packs a day. Ah, there's nothing wrong with Animate. It was the only place I could find Evangelion Doritos, for one thing...I feel more embarrassed hanging out in Mr. Donut than I do in Animate. -

I want to hear the Luca singing "Santi-U." -
But I wanna know what happens in episode 26 NOW!! *slams door*

I'd like to echo Project Phoneix there...a second version would be nice, especially since this is the closest thing to a professional version we're likely to get for quite a while. Maybe when the DVDs start coming out...?

Watch and Find Out. Right now, only the show's staff knows the answer...

It makes a lot of sense...if she ever needs quick cash, I think a song written on Zentradi panties would sell for a higher price on Ebay than one written on paper. -

Just one of the many reasons why I'm glad I did a six-week rewatch of everything Macross recently...it amkes the homages that much easier to sift through and place (although I messed up, thinking that Minmay was Miss Macross contestant number nine...when really, she was number 12 and it was EPISODE 9...). But I think there isn't much jealousy here (yet), because Alto doesn't seem to be all that into Ranka, although she clearly has a huge crush on him. Of course, he doesn't seem to be all that into Sheryl, either...maybe he really WILL end up with Mikhail... -

I like the cover, but none of them look quite like they do in the show...I wonder if this is one of those series where they have a different member of the art team each do a DVD cover...or if this artist will be doing all of them. -

Here's a solution: Immediately before watching the latest episode of MF, watch Virigin Road again. The contrast should be stunning! Actually, I'm of the opinion that it doesn't matter how good or bad the animation is, as long as the story is compelling. If the story is good enough, Macross Frontier could be a sock puppet show and I'd still watch it. That said, I still think the designs and the animation kick serious tail...but then, I don't watch too much new anime. -
Oh, I think my vote is obvious... As for why...well...it's the glasses. Yeah, that's it...the glasses.
-
It might be more definitive, but it won't be as pretty... I am cosumed with envy for those of you who have it...the last time I actually saw one in a shop, I was twelve...and it was WAY out of my price range...

Honest difference of opinion, I suppose...and without the ability to pick the Hory Froating Head's equally Hory and equally Froating brain, we'll probably never get a straight answer on it. I just thought that Basara's abilities and Dr. Chiba's "Sound Energy" theroies just dovetailed nicely, but that neither was reliant on the other. But then, all the Sound Busters and Speaker Pod Gammas in the galaxy couldn't help the Jamming Birds create enough Song Energy to drive off a Protodeviln mosquito. But then (as Segorn points out), Mylene, through hard practice, gains enough power to make an effect. But still... And I'm tying myself in knots here, with no end in sight. For me, one of the big problems is the way that they describe anime spirita in the show...it's the power the bound the Protodeviln...Sivil shouts it when Basara starts singing, and Geperunitchi says that Basara IS anima spirita, rather than Basara HAS anima spiritia. Anyway, if you see Anima Spiritia as, let's say, the fuel for Song Energy (and that's certainly a plausible reading), then yes, I can see where you could say that Sara is anima spirtia (and Minmay must have been as well, since it was through her singing that Dr. Chiba first hit upon his theory). If you look at them as separate things that just happen to mesh well (as I do) then it's unimportant who is or isn't anima spiritia, as long as one of them is around when a Protodeviln decides to snack on your life force.
-
I agree with you on the campire connection...but to extend your metaphor a bit, let's say someone has vampire-repelling super-blood. If no vampires show up to be repelled by that blood, the person will never know that they have super-blood. So anima spirita is pretty much irrelevant in any context that doesn't involve Protdeviln. Now Song Energy is a different story. In the Galaxy is Calling Me, they were trying to use Mylene's song energy to grow the flowers...very different from anima spirita. And I do believe that song energy played a big part in Zero.
