I'm surprised more people haven't figured that out...what's that Arthur C. Clarke quotation about any sufficiently advanced technology being indistiguishable from magic...? As for the podcast...I agree with a lot of your points, but I think the "indiginous tribe" theme was a little more complicated than you make out to be...Mao brings up a few reasons for liking the industrial world (primarily, the picture of her parents). Of course, the picture gets destroyed, so that could cancel out my argument. Also, I didn't mind the environmentalism, and I didn't mind the ending (although it was certainly weird and didn't make a whole lot of sense)...but hey, opinion's opinion. I liked that you brought up Shin taking a dump, though. More people need to take dumps in anime.

The preview episode is called "Macross's Fastest Liftoff!" and it's available on iMacross. It's mostly just two dim-witted hosts talking about Macross (and they appear to know little about it). The cheese factor is quite high, but there are some good moments (an interview with Kawamori, for example). Special episode? I have no idea what that is..."Good Morning Mylene" was simply the first of the "Macross 7 PLUS" shorts that appeared on the end of the VHS or LD collections. I don't think it ever aired on TV.

VF-27 How I Shot Web?

A pre-planned disappearance? Could be...but that seems a little TOO out there just yet (to me, at least). And I think it's easier to list the attributes of the VF-27 that AREN'T reminiscent of the SV-51 than to list the ones that are.

Yeah, sixtydeuce does a good job. I don't think the project is on hold, it's just that he has a kid now, so his time is somewhat more limited. But yeah...with only four episodes to go, it's frustrating...it went from one episode a month, to an episode every three months...which means episode 40 should be popping up any day now. At least, I've been checking his site once a day recently, hoping, hoping...

No. As others have said, we know now. Go back and look at the VF-27 screen captures. There's a NUNS logo and a Galaxy logo. You can argue all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that it's already settled.
