Not really any specifc examples that I kept track of. Just sometimes, I notice a line that seems hyper-literal, and no longer sounds like the character. I know it's hard to make difficult Japanese into readable English AND keep in character while doing so...for an example of THAT, check my "Nyan Fro" liner notes translation. If you compare it to the Japanese, I made Carmen sound a little ditzier in English, because I think that was the effect they were going for, but Elmo had all the difficult lines, and sometimes he sounds too stiff and...un-Elmo-like. But then, I was trying to do it fast; my next pass at it will, I hope, be much more successful.

Too true, my friend, too true. Tommy Yune certainly knows how to set up a cliffhanger, doesn't he? Much better than *yawn* a Macross showing up seemingly out of nowhere. The robotic torso villains in SC are clearly more intimidating than giant red lobsters. And while Froniter has big boobies, they lack the complete motionlessness of the SC boobies.

It was all right...a few small things I would've done differently, but nothing major. The biggest trouble I've noticed with fansubbers is that they rarely seem to realy get inside the heads of the characters and find a way for them to communicate their personalities through the dialogue. But since most of them seem to trying for word-for-word accuracy, I suppose that's impossible...

As Zinjo pointed out, "Megalord" is in the Macross Compendium. Me, I think it's just a continuity error. Macross Perfect Memory has an SDF-2 メガロード, but that book was published before Flashback 2012 came out. When they started planning FB2012, they decided to make it more different and more impressive, but still call it the メガロード. Later, someone had to come up with some way to reconcile this...but it seems like whoever did the reconciling was an English speaker. (Egan himself, maybe...?) All speculation on my part, of course. But it's plausible.
