Okay! I just picked mine up this evening (the binder is coming later), and...well, I'm not sure where to start on the translation. The magazine is small, but there's A LOT of text, and I think that most of it is stuff we already know. The Timeline and World Guide Sheets seem most interesting to me, followed by the Character and History Sheets. Any suggestions? And anyone want to pitch in and help?

I believe you're right, so, once again, let me say: "Damn Leon and his foo-foo haircut." I believe he's too ambitious for his own good, and it will be his undoing...the question is how much more trouble will he be able to stir up before he goes down in Icarus-like flames...?

So the fact that the Vajra are VERY GOOD at blowing sh!t up (or should I say were very good at it...?) makes them unsympathetic? They're being played, most likely. Our heroes are also (again, most likely) being played, and are doing the bad guys' dirty work for them. Perhaps my earlier words were ill-chosen...SMS are not bad guys, but they are doing what the bad guys want. So yes, they're still heroes, but their current job is...less than heroic, let's say. And if the thoery that the Vajra are either being provoked or were somehow altered to become aggresssive doesn't lessen the enormity of their actions, but it does absolve them of some of the responsibility. The way it looks (to me) now, the Vajra are a weapon, and Galaxy is the person holding the weapon. If that weapon kills someone, who's at fault?

Yeah...as I said before, I never knew Vajra hunting could be so cheerless and dispiriting, or that "Aimo" could be so cold and off-putting. It's pretty sad to see the heroes turn into the bad guys, with no good guys in sight. Let's hope Skull Squadron wises up soon (as I'm sure they will). Regardless, good episode. Not the most pleasant or fun, but definitely good.

Wilder, I believe?) told Ranka that she was like a new Lynn Minmay, to which Bobby interjected, "That's too old fashioned! She's like Basara!" And the Bridge Bunnies said that even THAT was too out-of-date.

Seconded. Speaker for the Dead is, I believe, a MUCH better novel than Ender's Game. The next two aren't quite as good, but they're still excellent. I read Ender's Shadow and liked it, but I got bogged down in Shadow of the Hegemon and never finished it...are the sequels worthwhile, anyone?

I wonder, though, if Raramia's going to get a "Pit the Poor Meltran" bump...

I don't think anyone's arguing that "Alpha One" is the YF-19's name...at least, I'm not. But if you prefer: Isamu's callsign in the movie is never Alpha One, always Eagle One; whereas in the OVA, he's Alpha One when he's in the YF-19.
