Could Sharon Apple have used SA tech to hypnotize Earth?

That always kind of bothered me, too... -
The Megaroad crew and the original "Triangler"- why the hang

Could've been worse, really...I'm sure you've heard the (possibly apocryphal) story of Tomino getting pestered with questions about the next Gundam sequel, and finally grabbing a Gundam model, stabbing it through the head with a pencil, and saying, "THERE'S your Gundam sequel!" and storming off. -

No, IIRC, Breetai used it on Khyron...Vrlitwhai just sent a message to Quamzin, who (surprisingly) obeyed. Other than that...I like your theory. Well, mostly I like the idea of hypnotized Sharon Apple fans embarking on a centuries-long mission of galactic conquest... -
(*PSSST* I don't know if it was a typo or a mistake, but it was actually the EVA-00's hand...) Completely, vastly true...and ever since Porky's 3 came out, I can't watch 1 or 2 anymore...

Enh, I'm a hardcore Sopranos fan, and I loved the ending. I say, if you don't like the "they disappeared near the center of the galaxy" idea, go with the "they went into a black hole" idea. And if THAT doesn't sit well with you, go with the "They flew off at the end of Flashback 2012 and lived happily ever after" ending. Certainly, nothing in the animation itself contradicts any of those endings. And if you REALLY need more, write your own ending. -
No clue...and the book's packed away (although I've been meaning to go to the stroage space and see if I can dig it out...). However, a quick google search shows "一条美紅" getting 7 hits, and "一条未来" getting 11,800...it's not definitive proof of course, but pretty close.

I think I first saw it in this book: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/books/series_guide.htm And I've always seen it as "Miku." Well, except in Legend of Megaroad, where the author called her "Miko," but I think that was just a mistake.

Well, there's always this...and you can download the font as well.

What a narrow tightrope the Eva movies have to walk! First, CoryHolmes castigated the movie for being too much like the TV series...now, Mowe. if I understand you correctly, it sounds like you're complaining that it wasn't similar enough to the TV series...

Hey, I'm a die-hard Eva TV series fan, and you'll get no flames from me...I thought the movie was great. Although, if you found the show boring at times, then you definitely need to work on improving your attention span...

TOTSUGEKI LOVEHEART!! (I got kinda sick of shouting "Bombaa." )
-
Enh, I would hope that as long as we're polite and mature, it won't be a problem. But I'm not sure there's much that resolvable here. Some people wil say that Ranka's too loli, others will argue that she isn't. Not much common ground to be gained. Loli is in the eye of the beholder...
-
On DVD...I like it. But in the movie theater, it completely blew me away. Like..."walking-around-in-a-daze-for-several-hours-afterward" blown away. I agree that a lot of it was a shot-for-shot remake, but it looked so much better. And then there were all the little differences that seem like they won't be so little by 2.0...

I don't think Ranka has been particularly sexualized...sure, there was the shower scene but that focussed more on Sheryl and Nanase (to quote Some Like It Hot: "Zow-ie!") than on Ranka. She's cute, not sexy (Zentradi nosebleeds notwithstanding). Similarly, when I saw the clip of Megumi Nakajima singing "Seikan Hikou," I thought she was absolutely adorable. Which is very different from thinking, "Man, I'd like to tap THAT!"

I stand by my earlier theory: if you look at the starmap at the beginning of Frontier, the Megaroad-01 is nowhere near the center of the galaxy. I think they just got lost, and Misa was too proud to ask for directions. Then U.N. Spacy called, asking how the mission was going, and Misa answered, "Um...yeah...we're, uh...right on schedule. Should be arriving at point QNB2661 in a couple of days...um, GottaGoNowBye!" Then U.N. Spacy sent a fold communication to that spot, only to find nothing there. Global and Britai had a big "ZOMFG! They've VANISHED!" panic attack, and raised all the alarms. At this point, Misa's WAY too embarrassed to fess up, and so they decide to cut all communications, and find a nice planet to settle down on. Whenever a ship passes within a few light years of the planet they're on, she gets hives. -
I posted that one before, but that's fine...you have a better caption. Still one of my favorites, by the way.

As per Hypno-Toad's instructions, I finally got my binder today...the magazine itself was a little disappointing, really, but after putting the pages in a realizing how much room there is for more, I decided that this is going to be fun...

Now I know what to ask Kawamori if I ever meet him...Sivil vs. the Bodol Main Fleet...who would win? Strange...it was way behind about five hours ago...

Thanks, Noyhauser...that pretty much says it all. (Wish I could be that succinct... )

That's an understatement...Grace was never Sheryl's assistant...Sheryl just thought she was.

What feedback would that be...? Remember that Macross 7 was a hit in Japan, spawning a movie, a sequel OVA, a number of toys and models, and more than twenty different CDs. So some old-school Macross fans didn't like it. I'm sure he cried all the way to the bank. Huh? Where did he say that? He gave up on Macross entirely for ten years, but then came back with Plus and 7 at the same time. I don't think he ever said he wanted only to make Macross stories that had no references to previous events. I remember when the Deculture Edition first came out, and a bunch of people were ragging on it for being too close to the original series...but lately, that talk seemed to have died down a lot...Not to be rude, but are you following the story? The Vajra? Macross Galaxy? Grace? The political intrigue? Conspiracies? What other Macross story is like this one? And I hope you weren't hoping to hope that people were hoping for that...because I don't think anyone was. Well, not that I saw, at least... -
I think a lot depends on their recent resistance to reaction weapons...if this is part of their nature, that they grow immune to anything thrown at them, then they might be in the running...
