  1. Depends... slapping Destroid parts on the Valks' backs is pretty weird... but some of the variants here leave one wondering, "Wait... how can it transform...?"
  2. The FAST Pack configurations are... weird, to say the least. Who knew you could attach boosters to the wings' hard points?
  3. The problem with trying to identify voices of "Galaxy Anonymous" is that, according to the Macross F Official Fan Book, those aren't the people's REAL voices... they're like online forum avatars, just voices that the people involved like and choose to use. So, for example, that little girl voice you hear isn't a real little girl at all... it could be a 50-year-old man. Again, just like real life.
  4. And when they do target the US market, they get lawsuits. Seriously... what would YOU do...?
  5. Just twice IIRC. Episode 11 (when Britai tore it to shreds) and Episode 16 (Misa's mistimed Daedalus Attack). The VF-1S took a beating in Episode 27, but he could still fly it.
  6. What I find odd is that Maverick_LSC has his own podcast (which he cohosts with Memo and Doug Bendo), called Robotech World (available here: http://www.talkshoe.com/talkshoe/web/talkCast.jsp?masterId=92340&cmd=tc ) and Kevin McKeever has been a guest on it several times. If he is so eager to get to the bottom of the "mystery," why not get an official statement from Mr. McKeever about who was behind the C&D, either on his podcast or on the Robotech forums. If Mr. McKeever, for whatever reason CANNOT speak about it, then he himself should be more understanding of your position.
  7. I'd do it. And I might be able to persuade the others to go along with with me... (Wish me luck!!)
  8. "GUARDIAN OF YOU AND OF MEEEEE!!"
  9. No idea. It may be gone for good, or it may pop back at some point.
  10. Unfortunately, it's the only way you'll be getting legal Macross products for the foreseeable future...
  11. a-HEM! EDIT: Huh... for some reason, the pics don't come up when I quote the post, but they're there on the original post. Weird.
  12. Kind of. Kawamori has always maintained that there is no real canon (as was explained before). Big West, however, when Macross Plus and 7 were released, announced (via the Timeline in the Macross 7 Trash manga, as well as the "Macross: A Future Chronicle" featurette on the first Macross Plus LD) that the TV series was the "real" story and DYRL was just an in-universe movie. Kawamori never seems to have gotten that particular memo, though. I'm not sure what you mean about Macross II, though. Big West has, since 1994, ALWAYS maintained that it's a "parallel story," from "Macross: A Future Chronicle" up through "Macross Chronicle" magazine.
  13. I always recommend production order (since Zero, while technically first chronologically, isn't a very good introduction). Start with the original 1982 TV series, then "Do You Remember Love," then "Flashback 2012." After that, come back and tell us what you think!
  14. For the 30th Anniversary of the Smiths' debut album... I wish you a(n) (un)happy birthday... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0KCDcRNTFo
  15. Err... thanks for the up-to-date and timely news...?
  16. I'm 90% sure he didn't.
