  1. No, t's tru. u c, fwr lttrs rly dz wrk bttr. e-z 2 read, e-z to say. No, of course you're right. It's a silly argument. And anyway, all the destroid designations are much longer, aren't they?
  2. I picked up issue 5 and (finally!) issue 3 yesterday at Kinokuniya, and...is it just me, or does it seem like the magazine is scaling back the character sheets? The first two sheets for Minmay have "character episodes" up to episode 9 and Mylene's have them up to episode 7, indicating that we're looking at maybe eight or nine sheets for each of those characters. But Basara and Misa's sheets cover the whole series, and there seems to be something amiss if there are eight sheets for Minmay but only two for Misa. Makes me wonder if they aren't reconsidering the scale of the project...
  3. It's more than that. In the News Thread, someone posted the TV listings, which said that episode 25 was the final episode. Which seems too short, but works with the Macross TV squaring principle: SDFM: 36 episode (6x6) M7: 49 episodes (7x7) MF: 25 episodes (5x5) Of course, I doubt ANYONE on the staff was thinking about this when planning the show, but it's a neat coincidence.
  4. I don't see where you guys are coming from...Mari Iijima and Chie Kajiura are both very talented and expressive singers. I've said it before, I'll say it again. I believe Macross has been very lucky in the muscians they've gotten over the years. I'm not absolutely crazy about everyone, but there hasn't been an unskilled singer in the bunch. Except Exsedol. And Gigil. And Gamlin. And Geperunichi. And Fire Bomber American. And if Leon and Grace burst into "What 'bout my star? @VAJRA HIVE" in the final episode of Frontier, I'll likely curl up into a shivering, tooth-chattering fetal ball for the next few years. But other than that, I can think of only a few Macross songs that I dislike intensely, and none of them are by Minmay or Mylene (although I admit that their duet, "Friends~Surpassing Time and Space," sounds a little too easy listening for my tastes...).
  5. ...or planet-sized pterosaur skywriting...
  6. He'd turn it down. As he said, "Too many promotions and they don't let you fly." Face it, we're stuck with him as a batsh*t insane pilot...
  7. And I'm sure the brass COMPLETELY missed it..."Gosh, every place this guy goes ends up erupting into conflict! He's got a good nose for rooting out trouble...offer him a promotion!"
  8. It's all stuff that shows up on the computer screen when Guld was checking Isamu's history. So although there's no information about what any of them actually were, at least we know that Isamu was involved somehow.
  9. What's wrong with Minmay? She sounds wonderful!
  10. Damn...and I've been stalking the JVC website like a hawk waiting for them to update so I could get the scoop...and then the tracklist arrives while I'm asleep. Sttill...I wonder what took them so long? We had the Nyan Fro tracklist more than a month before the album's release...
  11. I'm wondering that myself. And will they do the same treatment for both SDFM valks and DYRL Valk? Three or four sheets for Focker's TV VF-1S and three or four sheets for his DYRL one as well...?
  12. Well, I went to my "Macross Images" folder and checked out "poornana20.jpg," "poornana21.jpg," "poornana23.jpg" and "poornana24.jpg" (22 shows the left side of her face only), and I don't see any difference in the amount of bandages. For all of the bugs that kresphy has pointed out in the series, this ain't one of 'em.
  13. Enh, it's not like he was out there leading his men into battle in SDFM, either. He's just not cut out for combat...he can talk the talk, but he can't walk the walk.
  14. Alto has small hands.
  15. ...And all this time, we thought Galaxy were the real baddies...
  16. See? See? Frontier is overrun with Nyan Nyan! It's like the shoe-making planet in Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy! (And actually...yeah; we haven't seen any ads for anything else, have we? Not even hippocow ice cream...)
  17. And all chances are gone, since isn't he...? ...... ...whaddya mean, "No"?
  18. Pretty much EVERYONE looked the best they ever have in this episode. While the character animation wasn't the greatest, the designs in this episode danced like jewels.
  19. As other people have said, at least he didn't pull a Shinji (so to speak). He loves her. He kissed her. Big deal. No harm, no foul...right? Speaking as Macrossworld's self-proclaimed official Nanasist, I deem it all a-okay. Now we just have to wait until Shun, Dante, and SkullLeader VF-X throw in their six cents, and B.O.I.N.G. will have spoken.
  20. Well, there's always the (still unfinished) Legend of Megaroad. Sure, it's a fanfic, but it's a GOOD fanfic. And if you want a cute male idol, what's wrong with Basara?
  21. Well...let's face it, Alto was always a little outclassed by Brera, in VFs or not. But I'm not sure it's an entirely fair comparison, for obvious reasons...
  22. Are you kidding? If she's into bondage, she should be in paradise right now!
  23. Me neither. Is he from Macross II: The Micron Conspiracy? I never never read that one... And no, I'm NOT dismissing the Nanase Fan Club...it's just that ogling comatose gabonzas lacks a certain sense of decorum.
  24. Hey, Luca's a little dweeb, but he's a very RICH little dweeb. Nanase could do far worse, as long as she convinces him not to sign any pre-nups.
