Eva had a GREAT story; you just have bad taste. I liked the color changes on the EVA-01 and 00 in the first movie...and I want to see the 02 in motion before I decide whether I like the changes or not. But of course, I'm WAY more excited about the 05 and 06...I wonder when we'll get to see pics of those?

It also takes a lot of time...remember when the show was announced to begin in Fall 2007...?

The VF-27 Simulator is pretty nauseating (so I've been told; you have to have a certain level of cyborgization to ride it, and my level just wasn't tall enough), and the "Macross Quarter Night of TERROR! (Featuring Bobby Margot)" is a great roller coaster for most of the way, but has a surprise ending that's pretty painful.

Jamis Melin is the big-time actress from Macross. Janice is the android that the Southern Cross nerdboy falls in love with in Shadow Cronicles. I think you may be thinking of Jamis's Robotech name, Jan Morris.

No, we're talking about Jamis Melin from Macross. Why would I have to translate Robotech? It's already in English.

Y'know...last winter, I began to realize just how much Macross material had been left untranslated, some of it for more than two decades. I thought, "Hey, give me a year, and I'll translate it all!" That may have been a little too ambitious on my part...

I've said it before, I'll say it again...I hope they go Macross 7-style overload on this. Acoustic Albums! Duet Albums! Drama Albums! Live Albums! Tribute Albums! if they keep making 'em, I'll keep buying 'em.

He was a much better film writer than a novelist (even his best books seemed more like novelizations of upcoming movies to me), but his films could be thrilling and interesting (still love Westworld, as hokey as it is). I met him once at a bookstore I worked at about ten years ago. He was obviously tired, but kind and gracious (and very, very tall).

Although, I really think I will soon have to admit defeat (for now) on White Reminicences...if you'd settle for a summary, I can do that easily, but an actual translation may just be beyond my abilities. Don't worry, you didn't miss it. They released cellphone-only downloadable versions when "Saikan Hikou" came out. The CDs are coming out December 24: Sheryl's Space Brother Ship (by Sheryl Nome and Bobby Margot) Ranka and Bobby's SMS Song (by, um, Ranka and Bobby) No tracklists yet, though.

Except that, according to the Nyan Tra liner notes, they stopped producing the carrots when Frontier started running low on sustainability. Which means only one thing...

Ranka and Bobby's songs (and Sheryl's version of Space Brothership or Brother Spaceship or whatever you want to call it) are being released as singles.

While translating the Sheryl page in the Chronicle, I noticed another 25 reference...Fold Quartz. Or am I just reaching...?

Umm...that's one of the "recycled" tracks...it's from OST 1.

I completely forgot about that...yes, that was entirely awesome. Dude, that's TOTALLY going to be the next Macross series! (My favorite drink machine moment is still the couple getting cornered by them in an early episode of Macross 7, though.)

BOMBAA!! If you watched the Central Anime versions, the Plus episodes are at the end of every fourth episode...they also translated some of the ads, too. Some of them are good, some of them are meh. "Spirita Dreaming" is probably the best, as it gives information that, while not crucial, is nice to know. I also (of course) like "Gubaba's Planet." "Top Gamlin" and "Millia the President" are also quite nice. Most of the others are take-it-or-leave-it, IMHO.

Y'know, it's kind of discourgaing to have an offhand comment I made generate so many responses, while the stuff that took me hours of work get almost none... I'm not trolling for praise, I'm just sayin'.

That wasn't really a vocal track, though, was it? Seemed to me like it was just the main track with all of the main instruments and melody stripped off... I do hope it's on OST 4...which they have to make. They just HAVE to...we NEED to have the "Miss Macross Techno Theme."

I'm curious to hear the mother/daughter duet version... And as far as I can tell, the only thing that SHOULD be on it (but isn't) is the Linn Minmé version of the Nyan Nyan CM Song.

That place would freak the hell out of me...it's fun to imagine, though. One little detail that I never really got was the coffee shop...how the little circles of light kept bouncing off of the coffee cups and pinging around the table. I never understood it, but I thought it was cute. Off the top of my head, I also really liked: * Keitai-kun (or iSlug, if you prefer. ) * The way Sheryl told Alto not to put her boobs on the internet...BEFORE we got the explanation of what implants were. * FAST Pack Klan. * Nyan Nyan being a huge chain (although that originated, as far as I can tell, with the "Macross 7 Docking Festival" album. * Frontier's Library. Man, I'd love to spend a week or two in there. * Nanase's glasses.
