  1. OST2 told us that...it was Maaya Sakamoto.
  2. No, it was pretty clear he had some kind of "in." This was at Comics Factory in Pasadena, after all. Lots of movie and comics business people shop there.
  3. How long would it take to watch 300 Destroids blow up? 'Cause that's how long the movie would be...
  4. That is lucky best true 100%! A trout.
  5. Okay...I've been checking DMHY, Tokyotosho, and Nyaatorrents for the few days...can it be possible that no one has leaked Nyan Tama yet? Where's Kresphy when you need him?
  6. I nominate Agent ONE to be the manager and facillitator of the new Macrossworld feature, "Group Hug Therapy with Richard Simmons, Slim Goodbody, and Basara."
  7. Well...yeah. All the drama albums are like that. "Macross 7: Mellow Heart Beat," for example, takes 74 minutes to tell the less-than-compelling story of the Flower Girl trying to log on to the Fire Bomber homepage and send a message to Basara. And no, I'm not making that up.
  8. I don't put the "ad pages" in the binder, but everything else fits fine. It is quite thick, however.
  9. Is it just me, or does anyone else feel momentary confusion when they see VF-2SS, VF-22S, and VF-25S? I wish the powers that be had picked some numbers that didn't look so similar...
  10. I've translated a lot of "Miss DJ" here, and I know pretty well what happens on the rest of the album. In the same thread, Lynn2009 has also started "Distantly Fading Memories" and "Macross Generation." I don't have word-for-word translations of the other albums, but I could probably cobble together summaries of them...I most likely won't have time until the holidays, though. Docking Festival's probably my favorite. They go for flat-out comedy on that one, and do a pretty good job of it. All the others seem a little...inconsequential.
  11. At least Southern Cross has a few fans (thanks mostly to Robotech). Imagine the sad, empty life of a hardcore Galvion fanatic...there's nothing there for them. Oh, and you're forgetting the little-known fourth part of the Super Dimension Trilogy: Super Dimension Legend Rall. Although that one's not terribly big these days, either. For completely different reasons.
  12. And thanks for making 'em! They look great!
  13. Well, I guess they showed us...this "thinking ahead" stuff, it just gets ya into trouble.
  14. That'd be cool...I can't imagine there's much to say about Mech Grafitti, though. And I thought the podcast was spot-on this time (although I liked Pedro more than you did, if only for the scene where he leaped into Emilia's mouth), but I did notice a little mistake...the song about the old silver guitar is "Remember 16," not an improvisation. Which is even better, really, because it means Basara can see the future with his songs!
  15. That looks real, real yummy. I wish Hasegawa would make one, although I know it'll probably never happen.
  16. I was really, REALLY annoyed when I read that, since I got a second binder a couple of weeks ago. I thought the stickers would've come with the magazine itself...
  17. Strangely, I was just talking to someone yesterday (at the comics shop) who had seen a rough cut of the movie and he said they use "The Times They Are A-Changin'" over the opening credits. Yes, he said the movie was very, very good. And he said that the opening credits give all the backstory, and that it's amazingly well-done. I'm still not letting myself get excited about it, exactly...but I'm opening up to the idea that it might actually end up being good.
  18. No, unfortunately (unless I've somehow missed it). But it doesn't seem like ANY of the VF specs in Chronicle mention the battroid height...although the VF-1J has a Zentradi size comparison chart.
  19. Hey, if it's as good as Gundam the Origin, then it'll be considerably better than toilet-reading. No matter what it's about, or how good it is, though, I think we can all expect that it'll look gorgeous.
  20. As Alan Moore said in The Ballad of Halo Jones, "Whatsamatter? Don't you LIKE girls?"
  21. Dynamite and FB2012 are the only ones you haven't done, right?
  22. I didn't get as much done during the downtime as I would've liked, alas. But I've started in of the VF-25 sheet. So far (and I'm still on the first page) it's not remarkably different from what's up at the Compendium. In fact, I have a sneaking suspicion that wherever Egan or Azrael (or whoever translated the introductory info on that page) got the information from, the paragraph was also plundered for the Chronicle.
  23. Since the title of the comic is "Macross: The First" and the name of the magazine is Macross Ace, I'm guessing you can tell roughly what it's going to be like from checking out "Gundam: The Origin" in Gundam Ace and "Ultraman: The First" in Tokusatsu Ace. In other words, it'll probably be a retelling of the original series. I wonder if he's going to do the whole story, or if it'll just be a little bit. Remember, Macross Ace could end up being like Zeta Gundam Ace...just a handful of issues.
  24. PM'd you.
