I never think to use it when I'm doing the Chronicle Sheets... It was a great help for starting off "Misa Hayase: White Reminiscences," though.

Well...that's the weird part. Because Rori was the one Shammy was dating...but he ended up marrying Vanessa... But then, I guess stuff like that happens in real life, too. I don't *think* they ever mentioned who Shammy married, but Global performed the wedding. No news on Claudia, unfortunately.

Yep, that's what happened. They show up in the Macross 7 Docking Festival Drama Album, and in the booklet that comes with the CD, they have a little essay documenting what happened to them. That's also where they mention that little Yot-chan became the man who turned Nyan-Nyan into a huge galaxy-wide chain...and that later got referenced in the Macross Chronicle, so all of this appears to be canonical. Shammy got married, had eleven kids, and lives on the Moon. Kim is still single, and is retired on Eden. Vanessa married Rori, but unfortunately, all three of the Miclone spies soured on "that devil culture," became bitter, and turned to alcohol. Vanessa now manages a pub...Rori doesn't work, so they're pretty poor.

I like option 3 the best also. It's basically the same as what I set up for the Macross Chronicle translation thread. Anyone can add to it, but the index and Table of Contents will ALWAYS be at the beginning. When Sketchley or Azrael or (less frequently, these days) I add something new, I always add that info to the first post.

'Sokay. I don't like her for her, as you call it, "characterization." After all, she spent the last six episodes in a coma, and I still adored her... Why do think MacrossWorld has a "no politics" rule? Still...THAT, I can understand. Politics is important. Things like the economy and health care are burning issues. "Which Macross girl is hotter?" doesn't even come close...

Bri mentioned that the pinned thread was too long (and filled with other stuff) to be really useful as a reference for the legal situation. I suggested that perhaps a new thread could be created and pinned (and locked), similar to the Newbie's Guide to RT and Macross. TheLoneWolf then made this thread. Now, we may have been jumping the gun, but I think it's a good idea.

Analysis isn't the point. I think TheLoneWolf was just going for the undisputed facts, and, as he said, he can add to the post with more at any time.

I've mentioned Robotechfanplus before, and I have to say I think it's all a big put-on. I wish Macross fans wouldn't spam him with insults...it just makes us look bad...

It's a first step. Now I just have to browbeat you into submission for not loving Nanase above all else. And yes, as you say, not all (I'd even go with "most") Sheryl fans aren't like that. Hell, I think Sheryl's awesome, personally, especially in Episode 20. And her path to find purpose in the second half of the show (in the face of impending death) was quite compelling. I've seen very little "proof" for a supposed Ranka Ending...mostly a couple of people saying that they think Ranka and Alto hit it off better. It was only a couple of people, though. But it's kind of funny that some of the more rabid Sheryl fanatics were saying that the ending of the show changed because all the Ranka fans would go apesh*t...but then they say that the Ranka fans are so small in number...

That pretty much IS all the useful info. Everything else is rumors and hearsay.

It looks good. Perhaps something should be added about Macross 7 Trash, though. Although we have no idea about why whys and wherefores of its cancellation, it's been the only attempt after II and Plus to bring Macross to the U.S....

Maybe we should compile a list of the (very few) facts we have, and pin it and lock it for easy reference, like the Newbie's Guide to RT and Macross. Then we could start another thread for complaining about RT.

I think you're being too fair over all...from personal experience, on MW, I never saw any Ranka shippers get anywhere near as obnoxious as their Sheryl counterparts. Pulling little details out of their rears that "prove" Alto chose Ranka? Yes. Insulting Sheryl and anyone who liked her? No. Makes me glad I chose early on to be a Nanase fan... Anyway, since we're getting all meta and talking about mirrors reflecting mirrors, I've been reading "Dreaming Prelude~My Fair Minmay" and the first story in it is by, yep, Hiroshi Ohnogi. And all while translating it, I've been wondering what Final Vegeta would think as he read it, and I think it would bolster his claims. He keeps Hikaru and Minmay separate (excpet for a brief phone call, where she cancels a date with him - which itself is from the show) and ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE in Minmay's school nominates her for the Miss Macross Contest...even her teacher. I think Ohnogi's trying to provide a rationale for how Minmay beat Jamis...but accusations of Mary Sue-ism could easily be thrown at that scene.

I came across it sometime early last year...and when my hard drive crashed last summer, I replaced a lot of stuff from there.
