  2. Yeah, it happens. I remember once last year (when the MacZero Blu-Ray Set came out, with Sheryl's earrings inserted into a scene) making up stuff that should be added to the BD versions of other Macross stories. In context, it was obviously a joke, but then someone came along, quoting one of my silly ideas without the surrounding text, saying, "What's this?" People were puzzled for a while, until I came out and said that my original post was a joke. Then the guy came back, quoting another one of my "ideas" (again, without the surrounding text making it clear thati was joking), and said, "Well, what about this one then?" Feh.
  3. I think it's playing with Eva 2.0. So if someone has sneaked a cam in yet...
  4. *sigh* I guess it must be so...
  5. No, it's not real. Kresphy's just speculating (which is odd, since he's usually so reliable...is the dreaded "Shaloom's Disease" contagious...?).
  6. Yeah...I remember one of my first impressions of DYRL when i saw it in 1985 was that it was a sequel in everything but plot. The mecha design was more advanced technologically than the TV show and the characters were older...but the story was a retelling. Not a bad insight for a kid of eleven...
  7. I know, I know. I am lucky, aren't I?
  8. Yoko Kanno. Music for Macross Plus, Macross Frontier, Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne, and tons of others. Wasn't the Frontier music recorded with the Warsaw Symphony Orchestra...? Anyway, Shaloom's "information" is about a month or two old, so even if she was in Poland then, she's probably not there now. She's got a big concert coming up in Saitama in a week and a half, I hear.
  9. Paliodor, Paliodor, Paliodor...THAT MOVIE NEWS IS FAKE. Not true. False. Lies. Just because she always in Poland doesn't mean she's ALWAYS in Poland...
  10. So I take it this information provided by some guy named Shaloom isn't accurate, then? (And yes, Shaloom REALLY DID say all of the above.) AND NONE OF IT IS TRUE!!!
  11. Yes. But I was kind of hoping my handy-dandy chart would answer that for you...
  12. Also by the way, as part of my "extended cut" of the Ohnogi essay for Macross Generation (since I figure they need a little more proof than I showed here), is this chart of who wrote for SDFM. Shaloom claimed that Ohnogi wrote Pineapple Salad (episode 18, of course) and Rainy Night (Episode 33). Let me know if anyone thinks it needs anything...I didn't add the episode titles because I figure the numbers are good enough to identify them. (Kawamori Shoji)
  13. No, it isn't It's set in 2009, same as the series. They retconned everyone's birth years, not when the story happened.
  14. Hmm? No they didn't...
  15. :D :D ALL RIGHT! NOW WE'RE TALKIN'!
  16. Well, considering that the whole project was done with Max's blessing (and perhaps funding), you're saying the Captain increased the threat to his own men. Based on the evidence of the show, though, it never happened. Nobody died or was injured because of Basara. No one even seemed to be terribly distracted by him, except Gamlin. Plus, nobody needed to protect him. Both Max and Gamlin pointed out that he was an excellent battroid pilot. (His gerwalk skills left something to be desired, though, as Milia found out.) I dunno. For all the things that bothered me about Macross 7 (and there are many), that wasn't one of them. Although I wanted to scream at him when he initially refused to help City 7 escape that star's gravity...
  17. That's probably true. I was never a huge Transformers fan...once I started watching Robotech, I got over the whole "talking giant robots with personalities" thing pretty quick, so maybe I didn't like the first Bayformers movie because of a lack of fondness for the original. Ah well. If people enjoy it, who am I to stand in their way and be a wet blanket?
  18. Yeah, Sheryl looks better in Brera's outfit than Brera ever did. I could say the same thing about Nanase, but that would just be TOO predictable, wouldn't it? So instead, I'll mention Cathy. Since her voice actress also voiced Sara Nome, that stands as probably the only "behind-the-scenes" joke in the whole picture.
  19. Oh, by the way, I went through the actual Famitsu Interview today with one of my Japanese friends, and I understand it well enough that I can make a better summary of the whole thing. But since I'm sure inquiring minds want to know (and want to know NOW), Kawamori does NOT come out and endorse polygamy, either for Alto or for others. But he's talking about mass hypnosis as a form of control (a theme that he points out is present in both Plus and Frontier) and uses monogamy as an example of societal brainwashing: we just assume that it MUST be that way, but when you look at the animal world, monogamy is not usually present. Society has conditioned us into thinking that way. It's an example. Not a recommendation. Not an explanation of the "triangler ending." An example.
  20. Lucky. I have to wait two more weeks for mine...
  21. Google Translate, mi amigo, Google Translate.
  22. I don't need to. Shaloom can speak English just fine: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...sult_type=posts
  23. Funny...that's EXACTLY how I felt about the first one. Clearly, this one ain't gonna be my type of thing. I don't understand why so many people are saying things like, "sometimes people just want to be entertained, so just turn off your brain and enjoy the movie." Why does a movie have to treat you like a hyperactive ten-year-old in order to be considered "entertaining"?
  24. People mention this every once in awhile, and I always say the same thing: I can't remember that happening in the show. Can you give me a reference? Basara's enough of a jerk already without made-up charges of endangerment.
  25. Captain Wilder is wearing Ranka's "Neko Nikki" promotional cat-girl outfit (from episode 11). My favorite is still Ai-kun dressed as Alto's VF-25.
