Yeah, they sang that in Macross...I don't remember if they did in Robotech or not, but it would make sense. But I was thinking of something more aong lines of "All I Want for Christmas is My Protoculture Matrix," or "Annie the Red-Haired Loli"...stuff like that.
-
Or maybe "A Very Invid Christmas"...? That might be fun.
-
So, um...if they made a Robotech Christmas album, what do you think would be on it?
-
It was all right. Took an ill-advised long nap this afternoon, so I probably won't be able to sleep much tonight. Dropped by Kinokuniya and picked up the new Macross Chronicle, and a new Chronicle binder as well. My day had nothing to do with Robotech, however.
-
So, um, anyway...How was everyone's day?
-
Memo...Dougbendo...Maverick_LSC... What the hell is going on here? Have they suddenly realized how awesome Macross is in comparison to schlock like Robotech? If so, I welcome all of you! BOMBAA!!
-
That's nice, dear.

Before you look, you might want to get your rich uncle to sign over everything in his will to you and then off the old guy. If you want some of those kits, you're going to need A LOT of spare cash.
-
No, I agree with Pete here. Memo should be allowed to have his say, and let people see for themselves that his arguments have no merit. Ditto Doug. If he wants to post, then by all means, let him post. Let everyone see what he says (if they can read it), and form conclusions from there. If he can't keep it civil, he'll get warned. If he STILL can't keep it civil, he'll get banned, and that'll be the end of it. It doesn't change that fact that he said that YOU don't shut up...and yet HE came here, seeking YOU. Everybody sees that.

A warning: DO NOT WATCH THEM IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER. Flashback 2012 will spoil Do You Remember Love for you, and Macross Zero will be even more puzzling that it otherwise would be. WATCH THEM IN PRODUCTION ORDER, AND YOU'LL BE MUCH HAPPIER.

But where in Shadow Chronicles does is say that Maia is half-Zentraedi? Is it in the dialogue? That's what I'm asking.
-
But again...does it say that specifically in the dialogue?
-
Did they ever ACTUALLY SAY that Maia was half-Zentradi? In the dialogue?
-
No offense everyone, but this is all kind of...stupid. I don't think it's even worth debating, but there's no debate to be had. Here's the debate: "Q: Is Macross Frontier kiddie porn?" "A: No, it's not." End of argument. There's really nothing more to be said. Sure, we can all post elaborate defenses, but all that does is make it seem as though Frontier needs defending from this charge. And it doesn't.

Seto and Viper can't post on Robotech.com. They can't post on RobotechX.com. They can't appear on your podcast any more. So your coplaint that they won't shut up...well, as VFTF1 pointed out, it doesn't make much sense. YOU had to come HERE, actively seeking them out, to find a place where they "can't shut up." Again, what do you want? Them silenced completely? It's not going to happen. Best you can do is just ignore them. But you're not interested in Macross, right?
-
Well...I completely agree with you about the ridiculousness of the match-up, but that wasn't really why Seto got banned. It was mostly because the discussion (and the discussion in Doug's thread about how Ranka was 12 and naked, entitled "HOW OLD DOES SHE LOOK!") got REALLY ugly.
-
Doug said that the Robotech Masters could beat anyone, and challenged Seto and Viper (aka Robelwell202) to have a match-up, Masters vs. U.N. Spacy - any era. Seto and Viper pulled out stats from Macros Chronicle and other places, and gauged the Master's power based on the RT.com infopedia. Doug used screenshots and dialogue to show things like the Masters blowing stuff up, and Chlore's group ripping into the Macross 7 fleet. (I suggested that Basara just sing at the Masters, and it would all be over in a matter of minutes.) Anyway, it pretty much devolved into name-calling, and mutual cries of "You haven't proved ANYTHING!" and kind of fell apart. And then Doug claimed victory, because (he said) Seto and Viper realized they couldn't win. Which is kinda true...but only because neither side could agree on what the respective fleets' capabilities actually were.

You made more out of it than I did. Actually, I've got TONS of new respect for Pete, for being able to decipher not only Memo, but Doug as well. And on the SAME DAY, no less.

Battlestar Galactica Discussion III

Yes, his quick thinking in requesting that some mushies be brought to the bridge really saved the day. -
Yes, Seto has enslaved all of us and forced us to carry out nameless and eldritch tasks in his unholy name. I have to wonder...are the RT forums so dull that the mainstays are now compelled to come here...?

Does anyone know of a good, free mp3 splitter that can be used with OS X? As you may or may not know, the '80s CDs of the Macross drama albums are split into two tracks only: side 1 of the record is track 1, side 2 is track 2. this was changed in the '90s reissues, but "Snow Falling in the Galaxy," the Macross Christmas album, was never reissued. I recently got my hands on the CD, and I'd like to split the two tracks into the eight separate songs that comprise the album. I could use iTunes, I suppose, but that entails a lot of guesswork and imprecision. So...is there anything better out there? Thanks!
