http://www.robotech.com/community/forum/re...p;pagenumber=24 And as for why...well, probably just for being Pizza the Hutt. Does anyone really need a reason to ban him anymore?
-
In gossipy news, Pizza the Hutt got banned A SECOND TIME from RT.com.

Can you eat his spaghetti when he's not looking?

Nah, I got rid of THEM a long time ago, the shiftless money-sponges. Now I'm with the prominent firm of Salitieri, Poore, Nash, De Brutus and Short.
-
Both of which got destroyed in various productions, no?

Caprica! Dynasty Meets BSG

Y'know, Graystone said that holobands are over, but I wonder if he thought about what a boon they were to the bedsheet-laundering businesses all over the 12 colonies... I'm expecting the Undergarment-Washers Guild to protest the phasing-out of holobands. -
Huh. I see your point, but I dunno...speaking personally, blowing up mecha (even REALLY, REALLY iconic mecha) never bugs me. However, I do remember Spring 1985, when I walked into my local hobby shop and saw a 1/100 model kit of Hikaru's VF-1S (which was the first inkling of DYRL's existence that I ever encountered) and saying the '80s equivalent of "ZOMG!! WTF is this!! DO WANT!! DO WANT!!!1!" So yeah...for me, I think the torch passed from the Focker Special to the Ichijo Special before I ever even saw the movie. So getting upset over Focker's Valk never occurred to me.

That's a good question...better off in what way, and better off to whom? Financially, it seems like it was a good decision. Made on the cheap, and it seems to have sold adequately. Artisitically, it was, I think, a good move if you include the novels and comics into the equation. As lame as Shadow Chronicles was, it wasn't as lame as some other things (now swept out of continuity) with the Robotech name on them. And there ARE people who like the movie, weird as that sounds. As a statement of purpose, i.e. "Robotech is alive and well and can stand toe-to-toe with other franchises," it failed, I think; first, because of how cheap it looked and how anemic the story was, and second, because HG failed to follow it up quickly. It makes the movie look more than an aberration than a return to form.

So what? They've supposedly got 30 VF-1S models aboard the Macross...and shouldn't Skull Leader (whoever Skull Leader may be at the time) have one?

You're all missing the most important point: Philomon went with "Flight Simulator" for a date instead of "A MASSAGE FOR TWO"!?! The boy's got a real problem...he's thinking too much with the big head, and not enough with the little one... -
I don't think he was on the Moon the entire time.
-
I seriously doubt that. A tie-in to Trash? How?

It DOES kinda explain why they're still not a couple by episode 28.

That's hot. Indeed. This show is definitely moving in unexpected directions... -
Fire Bomber American stuff gets used as background music in Dynamite 7, but that's about it. And unfortunately, I have no clue why they made the album in the first place...there are definitely some superfluous M7 CD releases, but that one tops the list...narrowly beating out "Live Fire."

"He learned, almost too late, that man is a feeling creature and, because of it, the greatest in the universe. He learned, too late for himself, that men have to make their own way, to make their own mistakes. There can't be any gift of perfection from outside ourselves. And, when men seek such perfection, they find there's only death, fire, loss, disillusionment, the end of everything that's gone forward. Men have always sought an end to toil and misery. It can't be given; it has to be achieved. There is hope, but it has to come from inside, from man himself."

I am serious. And don't call me Shirley.

I'm not sure Fire Bomber American even HAS Valks. I think they're just a band...

Isn't that where the forums come in? If you're new to Robotech, and you see some people raving about the books on the forum, canonical or not, you might be moved to check 'em out.
