  1. Huh. Yeah, it did...let me be clear and say Wanzerfan had no connection to the auto show model (that I know of, that is). This is my time to be a STAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!
  2. No...that would be hot sex with a Japanese auto-show fashion model (and yes, I know from experience). Cleaning up after Wanzerfan, on the other hand, is pretty annoying.
  3. Don't forget Elma!
  4. Welcome back, Wanz! Nice to see you haven't lost the habit of finding the oddest and most random things to say... Um...no he hasn't. He lived in Southern California throughout the '80s (and worked there, too). He probably lived in Houston during his time with ADV, but that was late-'90s, early-2000s. Y'know, it's been nice not having to correct your factual mistakes. But those days are over, I guess...
  5. Safe prediction: If issue 50 has any splash page at all, it'll be either the VF-2JA or the Monster Mk. I.
  6. Maybe Macek said that it failed miserably before, but by the time of his A.N.N. interview, he said that the audiences in Houston loved the movie, and it was doing very well until Cannon got nervous and pulled the plug...
  7. Cripes...the recent update screwed up all the HTML tags when I edited the Table of Contents... I'll fix it all, but it'll likely take a couple of days. Of course, I have no idea if anyone finds the contents useful or helpful, but whatever... We're too close to the end NOT to update them.
  8. Undoubtedly you're right. But this isn't really the thread in which to discuss it. You can PM me about it if you'd like.
  9. Whatever, dude. You know my reasons.
  10. Carl Macek wouldn't, I think, have gotten half of the jeers he got if he hadn't started acting like Robotech burst fully-formed from his skull. A lot of the anger went WAY overboard, but he does deserve some criticism for shunting aside the people who actually created the shows, and then pretending that he did all the important work.
  11. Ah...look's like "Macross-Realted Publications" DOES cover the novels...at least some of 'em...
  12. Which would mean they'd have to change their minds pretty quick, since everything so far has said 50 issues is "complete." (å…¨)
  13. Could this be the final glossary sheet...? I predict that the final issue MUST have a "Music CD" Goods Sheet. I was also kind of hoping for comics and novels Goods Sheets, but I guess that won't happen...
  14. My Mom is deeply in love with Russell Crowe.
  15. On Mother's Day, my Mom made me promise to take her to see this next weekend (because she's pretty sure none of her friends want to). So...whether it sucks or not, I guess I'll know for sure by Sunday...
  16. I just hope Nanase will be in the second movie...
  17. Sheryl fans are fine...I'm one myself. It's the ZOMG!ALTOxSHERIRU!ORGASMUNCONTROLLABLY!! people that I can't stand...that's just me, though.
  18. It's been posted here many, many, MANY times before. I'm sure David Hingtgen has fond memories of deleting it from posts ten or fifteen times.
  19. Ah, you're one of THOSE people, eh...?
  20. Okay...I'd like to ask a question, if I may. Since a movie is a creation of visuals and sound, why do you want to watch a version of it where you can barely see the visuals, and barely hear the sound? Just curious.
  21. It was in Taito-ku, behind Juyoh Hotel. The closest station was Minami-Senju, a few stops from Ueno.
  22. I only ever saw the first two, and that was really "back in the day" (i.e., I watched it raw on a copy of a copy one of my friends had...and then I copied his copy)... I loved the first one, though. Part II didn't thrill me as much. I remember one time back in the early '90s, I when I was talking to a relatively new anime fan who said he didn't really like it because he didn't get the references to the "old stuff." That made me feel quite elderly...
