The Macross Quarter. DX Chogokin
SchizophrenicMC replied to 505thAirborne's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
That said, who says they're all in the same scale on the picture? Maybe they downsized and upsized them to match size for the picture. I doubt it, but it's possible. -
Feh, I prefer the -5. Wait. This is a Macross forum? Never mind, then. If I had a camera, I'd give some Angel fanservice. Maybe even a bit with Annie. (That picture was taken with my phone. Stupid camera! Just HAD to get lost! :Where the hell is cry?

What's wrong? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I love how you did that. Looks awesome and fixes TWO problems. Now, if only I had money to get one...

All things considered, the redux is done. It's not GREAT, but it gets the point across. Unfortunately, a codec I have is interfering with Movie Maker compiling the video. And, yes, I did laze out and use the audio for the first part. I used the drumbeat+fighter pass sound from the Ace Combat 6 trailer, and filled the rest with "The Liberation of Gracemeria". If only I knew what was causing the damned problem.

Character Art Appreciaton Thread II
SchizophrenicMC replied to d3v's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I lolled. If I had to compare, I'd say my girlfriend is most like... ... ... Luca... Introverted, smart, short, has-shorter-hair-than-their-love-interest... Also, she kinda sucks at piloting. Just throwin' that out there. -
Space folding in Macross Frontier
SchizophrenicMC replied to Macross007's topic in Movies and TV Series
The way I see it, the reactors don't use any normal fuel, per se. As I stated before, they harvest Super-Dimension energy. To fold, they have to charge a capacitor full of energy to release all at once to rip a hole between the dimensions or what have you. The same goes for a Macross cannon. The reason they take so long between folds is, well, it's inconvenient. They can charge a fold in a few hours at their fastest, but to do that requires all secondary systems shut down, and all reactor power going to the fold capacitors. This puts a severe cramp on lifestyle, though, so they passively charge the capacitors over the space of weeks, months, years. That way, other systems within the ship can run. This is especially good for the ultra-long distance colony ships, like Frontier. This way, they can let people live their normal lives and charge a fold to get them closer to their destination at the same time. I mean, they have all the time in the world. These colonies are self-sustaining, and I'm sure population control is part of life, so they wouldn't have to worry about strained resources. -
Angel is my favorite.

1/72 Hasegawa SV-51 Gamma w/ twin boosters (DD Ivanov type)
SchizophrenicMC replied to nickster's topic in The Workshop!
Er.... How do I put this? It's not a matter of confidence or anything. I just suck at detailing and I'm too... I don't know, lazy? I'm too lazy to care about detailing so much. I mean, I'm trying to get my hands on a Strike model to blow the hell out of, so I can work on my skill and simultaneously show my disdain for Gundam Seed. But they're more expensive than I care for. I think, though, that using cheap 00 models, I can quickly build them, and have fun if I ruin them. As a morale booster, I guess. I mean, if I ruined a model I actually liked, I'd get real down or really angry, and the whole process would die. If I ruin (Is it Dynames?), I'll just have to say "That's what you get for being the sniper character!" or "Stupid Lockon. You die, anyway." Besides, the local hobbystore has a bunch of really cheap first grades. I could get like 5 or 6 for the cost of the Master Grade Freedom on their shelf. So, I'll leave it at this: I meant what I said as a compliment to you, Nick, and I don't really care if I'm not good at what's not my forte. Not to say I've found what I'm inherently great at. I'm only 15. But I'm not gonna say my own skills are even comparable to something like this if they aren't. Closing statement: Keep up the good SV. Wanna see that thing done. -
Nope Can't Not that simple. The sound is all compiled into a single track, and it's merged with video. Splitting the video and audio aren't that hard, but it would be nigh impossible to split the compiled audio track right. At least, wit the resources I have. I'm making some progress, either way. It's much harder to fit music to video than it is vice-versa. I'm also thinking I may just laze out and use the originial video's audio until Quarter passes, and fade out for a second and a half of silence, a drumbeat, and start the action. In other words, I'm having a bitch time fitting Alto's theme properly to the video.

Bandai 1/48 Scale Macross Frontier Model Kit Thread
SchizophrenicMC replied to azrael's topic in Model kits
Don't even get me started on the Monster. (As a side note, in 1/48 scale, a Monster destroid would be 19 inches tall) -
"Life... Is short.... Love... Is forever..." 10 points to the person who can tell me what movie trailer that's from. Cool. Now, I only wish I had an MP3 of your voice over to add to the mix I'm making in Audacity to add to the video... And that the stupid MP4 I downloaded it as didn't have such horrible JPEG artefacts... I'll consider it a quickie. Then, I won't be so bothered with myself about quality.

Sheryl Nome: Building a better Basara?
SchizophrenicMC replied to Fadooski's topic in Movies and TV Series
So, where does that leave Sharon Apple? -
That inspired my in-the-works Ace Combat Frontier Trailer video.

Don't worry I'm not stupid Why would I do that

I like, yes.

How so? It would look like a 1S, because the only difference between a 1A, 1D, 1J, and 1S is the head. If a VF-1B is canonically a 1A's airframe and avionics with a 1S head, it would have the same damned appearance as a 1S. It'd be a damned 1S in cannon-fodder colors. Admittedly, the thought is intriguing, and it might make a good buck for Yamato, should they so decide to paint a 1S brown and call it a 1B, but I don't see anything past that. It's a design with no potential. Now, if you want to know what I would like to see in a crossover VF-1, I'd say a cross between a S and A head (5 turrets, yes?) with 2 seats, painted in the old Type-1 Low-vis scheme would be cool. And for kicks, do something with the wings, so they act like a hybrid of the VF-1's and the X-02's from Ace Combat lore.

Sheryl Nome: Building a better Basara?
SchizophrenicMC replied to Fadooski's topic in Movies and TV Series
I like you, Gubaba. You always seem to know what to say. I woulda made a "your mom" joke and left it at that. -
No, not really. I meant the technique. Taking this video's content and combining it with the style of music used in BSG. Take it from soft and peaceful in the beginning to fast and suspenseful towards the end, to reflect the level of action between them. Almost like the trailer for Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War. It starts out with the beginning of "The Unsung War" as the background, and transitions the action to match the song. Then, the music stops completely for a line of dialogue, followed by a more actiony sequence highlighted by "First Flight". Finally, the story of Razgriz is told by Genette with "Blurry" playing in the background and peaceful bits of game cutscenes show. It's all about musical transition. This video, actually, shows a form of this. While it only uses one song, it uses the song's emotion in different ways as it progresses. It goes from soft, peaceful, and wordless with the like scenes, and then it moves to the lyrics and the action steps up, following the words. It adds a helpless feeling to the viewer's experience, since the use of such a soft song with such action brings to mind tragedy. Tragic, because there is no fighting spirit, a state of mind that comes from victory. Back to my request for permission, can I? I did some contemplating, and a few songs seemed to match up with the parts of the trailer, respectively.

On an AMV-related note, it looks as if I'm going to have to reinstall WMM, ZOOM Player, and all of my media codecs. They've ALL corrupted... >_>
-
Ptm, would you mind if I used the video in your trailer to demonstrate how it would be with the soft-to-fast BSG musical technique?

He's just making an excuse so he doesn't seem like a fetishy pervert. I guess he wants to be known as a non-fetishy pervert. Are you a lolicon?
