Well, you've 3-upped me; I have no Macross figures, I have no shelf, and I have no posters... Looks awesome, man. Keep up the spending, and you'll have to photograph your collection later.

Because you can't beat the original, and Bigger truly is better?

The way I see it: One of Harmony Gold's higher-ups (Can't remember his name for the life of me) liked the anime "Space Battleship Yamato". He decides he wants to do his own space opera anime. So, he goes to Kawamori-sensei and Taka... Taka... Whatever it was Productions and asks to make Robotech, his planned amalgam of 3 Nue series. So, he goes, finishes writing his story, begins editing and dubbing the footage with the Robotech storyline's acting, and begins the publishing process. My only qualms with HG is their monopoly over American trade of Macross goods. Thanks to them, I (and everyone else in North America) can only buy Macross merchandise illegally. That, and "My Time to be a Star". The latter is self-explanatory. And as I keep telling my father, "No, dad, the stories are COMPLETELY different. Robotech was never and will never be Macross." Also, "No, it's the same animation. The only difference is that a few things were cut out to make it 'family friendly'. Other than that, watching Robotech without the sound is the same as watching Macross!" That's the last I will say on the matter, as it is OT. And if you think Fighter is most useful, how many cannon fodders blow up in Battroid? How many fights does Hikaru (Or Max, or Miria, or Roy) win in Fighter? Battroid? There you go.

1/48+fp's, 1/60, And 1/72 Picture Gallery Pt 3

Welcome to Macross World! I agree with you fully about Robotech. People (Especially Americans and Chileans ) need to stop ripping on RT. Just accept it as a non-Macross cartoon. I see that you have TV arms on your Skull-1, your Robotech poster, your lack of a TV, Half-GERWALKs, Macross Lineart Book, Robotech Art 1 (Hey! I have that!), some octopus thing I could swear I saw in the Matrix, and a Skull Squadron fetish. -
I never said it was. However, this dude is complaining about how he has to work for a week to get enough money for a valk. Comparatively, an unemployed minor like myself must work around 2 years, doing random odd-jobs for such things.

No. Not Klan... Macronized Nanase!

My opinion is the 1/48s. Given, it's probably that I'm from Texas, where small things are frowned upon. (Go ahead with "That's what she said.") However, they seem very well-constructed. Certainly better than the reviews I've seen for the 1/60s in general.

That's what she said! Screw all this talk of 1/18. It's not divisible by 4! Instead, 1/16! You can't use 80s toys for comparison, as ALL of the ones I've seen (Including my father's massive Star Wars Collection from 1982. (Yes, BEFORE he was into Robotech )) I think when all things are considered: It'd weigh at least 12 pounds. At 1/18 scale, the VF-1 would be about 2.7 or so feet long. If one wants any posability, (This includes transformation) it'd have to be somewhat solid, and have strong joints. If it transforms, it's a plaything. That's why the Yamato YF-19 is damn stable, in my experience. If it's non-transformable, and it wants to weigh less, it'd be hollow. Like the Falcon... Then again, the new UCS Lego Falcon is 33" long, has all of the features of the Falcon (Hyperdrive not included), and is in scale with the Lego Minifgures. Which, I guess, is the whole point of this discussion. Falcon And that's a Danish import!

Hikaru, wait until the battle's done! Then, you can have Misa and/or Minmay! It sure's hell beats your hand! -
We used to have a shop that sold anime goods... Then, they went out of business, and I cried for 3 days straight...

What about the unemployed minors? It really sucks for us because the parents say "If you have the money for it" and you can't make any money... I don't make enough for a 1/60 S/SP, let alone a valk... Damned Yamato. We've seen the Bandai 1/72 VF-25 at less than half of the Yamato 1/60s. Considering the barely different size and even taking away value from having to build and decorate yourself, the Bandai 25 is cheaper. Add to that Yamato's horrid QC...

Macross: Variable Fighter operations
SchizophrenicMC replied to Remko's topic in Movies and TV Series
While it does hold enough oxygen, it physically can't. One must take it as anime magic, I suppose... On the same note, the space below the fighters is likely for engine maintenance. Remember pops looking at the nozzle of the 0s? The same is required inspection of the SV-51, which runs on 2 hyper-tuned combustion turbines. This points out that the engines probably require the same maintenance as the turbines on real-world fighters. I can't speak on the note of thermonuclear turbines. -
Even Better: Zentraedi Watermelons!

Why does everyone rip on Robotech? It had its own story, separate of Macross's, and the only links it has, in homage, to Macross is the name of the city on the island, and the aliens. Moving on. Fighter is most useful... For getting into the fight. After that, Gerwalk is used to brake, and Battroid to fight.

Well, can we consider "All That VF: Zero Edition" canon? If so, we know that they don't soft-launch... -
Dude, you killed it. It's to say that the torso moves forward and back... And it can produce 22,000 pounds of THRUST!

Isn't H2O2 a mild base?

That's how you make a burrito properly. Only one end is folded. Then, you eat it with your head sideways over the plate, so nothing spills out and if it does, you can scoop it up with another tortilla later.

Did I say they were, holmes? (Mexican Joke. I mean nothing by it.) My neighbors are Mexican and have cookouts every weekend. Besides, Taco Bell is entirely staffed by Mexicans. If they're making the food...
