Hasegawa: Cement kit

You may want to email it to yourself, so you keep it as an attached file on a separate server.

Yeah, but Gunship Gray's the obvious color to paint a fighter. It's really fun if you have a Light Semi-gloss Blue and Insignia Red paintscheme. If I ever get a few 25Fs, That's gonna be one.

See, that's what I was saying: It's a throw-away thing only for that 3 seconds.

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.3

That's a dihedral I'd expect from a laden 737 in a 2G turn... -
I know it's all written. That's why I add a or at the end of my joking posts.... Does a director have to have anything to do with what he's paying homage to? Did Kawamori have a vision for MacII? What does THX Sound have to do with any of this? And if everyone I knew jumped off a bridge, I tell ya, I would too. Don't tell me there's no similarities.

Bandai/Tamashi Nations 1/100 lineup. 2009 takeoff!

We're all a sucker for the red-and-black-on-white paintscheme. That's why. -
I've got the same plane in FSX in 2 different poly counts, and the higher-poly one looks better... Given, the texture on the low-poly one sucks a bit... However, all that aside, the total poly count for a Flight Simulator-grade plane includes the entire model, external surfaces, internal surfaces, moving parts, cabin, and all. The models I speak of have landing gear bays, cabins, airbrake internal surfaces, and landing gear modelled in detail. So, their poly count's gonna be INCREDIBLY high.

Polidread's still alive! YAY!

Ah... I see... Which reminds me, I've got a Star Wars model I'm building... I'm gonna have a bunch of paint left over... Maybe I'll do a VF-25F in Insignia Red... Or Light Semi-gloss Blue... Flat Gunship Gray? Seriously though, I'm pissed off, because this thing requires small amounts of certain colors, which are only spray colors... Can't even get the stuff in airbrush or brush-on... And a can of the stuff costs between $7 and $12... $12 for a single viewport... GRR... Though, I gotta admit, a VF-25 in Light Semi-gloss Blue would look freakin sweet...

Oy, oy, oi! Can no one on this forum take a joke? Is there no humor? This is why I'm not well-liked around here. With what I say, you got to take it with a grain of salt, and a touch of humor. Ach! Mein Gott in Himmel! I know it's not canon. I know it's not a VF-2SS. But, you gotta admit, it looks somewhat like a VF-2SS. I'm nowhere near the only one who thinks this, nor am I the one who revealed the similarity to myself. I read something about it (RandomCuriosity, if I'm not mistaken), and I could see the connection. And who's to say SK wouldn't jokingly reference it? I know I would. Hell, I woulda done it a long time ago. Maybe that's just me, but... And Star Wars and IJ aren't the only times someone's paid homage to something. For example, "The Day The Earth Stood Still"'s remake that was recently released. There's a scene with an Eva action figure on a desk, and the director explicitly said later in an interview that he really like Evangelion, and paid homage to it in that way. But, as I said before, the VF-2SS thing was a joke. You're not supposed to take it seriously, offensively, or anything else. It's supposed to be humorous... March, you understand, right? You're the voice of reason here, tell me you get it as a joke...

Sweet... So, why the blue paintjob, if I may ask?

All I can think of is sexually innuendous in nature... Is that the joke/reference? -
"Non-canon can be made canon" There. I know a few instances where non-canon material is made canon by the producers, later. MacII's time in (AU) history hasn't happened in Macross Universe yet, so who's to say it can't? It's like people saying Peter and Mary Jane would always be a couple, then Stan Lee wrote in the unraveling of their entire history. "Non-canon can be made canon" And even then, there's the obvious, actual reason: Homage. Did you know every Star Wars and Indiana Jones movie had 1138 hidden in it? This, and THX Sound, are homage to George Lucas' original work, THX 1138. It's obviously designed extremely similar to the VF-2SS, and that's paying (Playful, at that, since MacII wasn't canon) homage to the non-canon work.

LAFToys? Never heard of them... Where are they located? Speaking of Macross toys, the closest thing to them that the local HobbyTown USA has is 3 Alphas... They don't even have FlexiDisplays, or even Bandai stands.. Grr... -
It's still awesome...

Same for me, except with Luca's. -
You know, whenever I see Valkyrie Addict's avvie, I could swear the 1/48 Stealth SP's holding 1/60 (I think) Non-transforming's head over his crotch... Bad lighting...
-
Yeah, but having a 100K poly model that's round, and not hexagonal, looks better to start with. Add post-processing, and it looks freakin sweet.
-
It's called "Homage", my friend. SK did it to pay homage to MacII, even though it's not canon. And maybe it just didn't do so well as a prototype, and that's why it doesn't exist. Besides, 2095 hasn't happened in the Macross Universe (I can't remember when MacII happened, but I'm pretty sure it's 2095... Correct me if I'm wrong...)
-
One can only hope.
-
As I said, the entire line in 1/48, and I'd buy it all. EVen better, 1/16...
