  1. My dad's rig, which is running Vista 32, has been explicitly stated to be able to upgrade to 8Gb, leaving all else stock, so I know it's possible.
  2. Cannon Boobs? No... Unfortunately, not. Now, I must say this: Boobs are win, and should be talked about always. Pussy is NSFW, so we can't talk about it. (Unfortunately... God's gift is frowned upon at work...)
  3. Saint, AKA new kid, don't start arguing off the bat. It's not good for your reputation. I can understand your points, but you don't have to pull this apeface motif. MOVING ON: T-80: Apparently you didn't understand. T-80 is a generic term used to describe Russian tanks. It's like Valkyrie to a VF. Not all are Valkyries, but it's enough to invoke the image of one. T-80 is enough to invoke the image of a Ruskie tank. 20mm doesn't shred armor: Uh-huh. And that's why an inefficient, somewhat expensive round is in place, right? The 20mm round, at one inch in diameter, is an armor shredder. This thing can literally blow a human head off, just out of sheer size and momentum. Aluminum and titanium armor on a plane will fare little better, considering how light the stuff is. 23 and 27 are better for it, but 20 is damn good. 30mm doesn't shred tank armor: Yup, that's why a STRAFE RUN at 100+ MPH can take out a tank in less than a second's firing. When you strafe someone, you don't have time to line up for the weakest point. You just aim in its general direction and hope your HUD was right. Tank armor is thicker all-around than any plane armor. 55mm: It's among the smaller classes of rounds on a ship's heavy cannons. These things are designed to take out gunboats and attackers. Futureweapons covered a 57mm Bofors cannon recently. Real fighters: But, one must realize that the laws of physics still apply. This isn't Gundam where one can defy physics. Macross is rooted in those laws, as far as a good mecha anime can go. If I'm using real fighters as a basis, say an F-14 can destroy a Su-33D with 20mm rounds in seconds, and the same is true in reverse, and a 30mm cannon will destroy a TANK, then 35mm and 55mm will destroy a VF with ECA that toughens the armor to as strong as a TANK. Get it? CIWS is not considered an autocannon. It's considered an antimissile and antifighter defense system. Autocannons are the heavy guns that don't fire as fast. You've made some moot points, but this one is pretty bad: RoF: Well, just because it's not ALWAYS set to the highest, it CAN BE set to the highest, and still operate. If it can't be set to its maximum setting and run, that's not its max. setting. The same goes for the vehicle you mount the equipment in. If it can't handle the side-effects of operating the equipment at its fullest, it's not going to be paired with it. It's symbiosis. Anyway, Welcome to MacrossWorld, The Saint. Hope you have a nice stay. A bit of advice as to how to deal with me, I never mean anything personally. I don't try to offend, but I come off as a dick sometimes. I onlymean to offend in situations where people use the wrong info and say it's right. Especially if they continue to use it when more than one person is proving it wrong.
  4. Ownage = ideas of Sh002.
  5. Best Gunpod: 1/48 (VF-1S 25th Anniversary in particular) The 1/48 gunpod never seemed to small to me. It took me a month to figure out that the handle folded out of the pod. (and this one beats all of them; It's in BLACK, instead of that bluish grey... Friggin' Bley...) Best heatshield: VF-11B Best scale: 1/48 Because wider is better. (Who remembers Pontiac?) Best wings: VF-0 Best gimmicks: 1/48 VF-1S (It has the whole neck thing that the 1A and J didn't.) I'm kinda unable to remember the rest of my categories right now... Kinda woozy...
  6. Bada daba daba! Bunnah nah bunnah nah bunnah nah dah! Careful, she bites, Ben. (Joke between my friends, A) Ben, who's dating B ) Taylor, who has a biting fetish. It must suck for Ben. "Whatever you do, don't accept an offer for head, Ben!") Good observation, Badboy.
  7. Awesome. I'm almost certain I've seen an 8Gb rig on XP 32, but I'm not certain. I assume you can use it. I know Vista 32 can... Anyway, 80K puts it at the same caliber as a video game model. They're pretty good. This is, in no way, the best I've seen, but it's damn good. The best I've seen was probably a plane in FSX and it ran 140K triangles... Keep it up, Akt M!
  8. I may be getting a microphone this week. If you ever need any cannon fodder or temporary voices, you know I'm interested.
  9. I like Legos... I need to get my hands on some of that.
  10. I like Legos... I need to get my hands on some of that.
  11. Actually the fin is for detecting enemy Radar and Electronic support... If you retract it, you remove any advantage the plane provides in combat. At the basest level, it's a scout, albeit a combat-capable one in space. On that note, I remembered the ADF-01 from Ace Combat has a fin like that, though with maneuverability as its purpose. How so, I don't know. It would stand to reason that air resistance on the fin during rolls would make it HARDER to roll. The wings are necessary to flight. The fin isn't. That's my point. Moving on, the Guinevere's legs remind me too much of the 21/22. I never liked the scrawny legs, much. However, given that it's a "feminine" design, it makes sense. Anime, you continue to impress.
  12. No, those are Fusion Drive boobs... And, all this time, I thought I was the only one who referenced Breast Fighters... I've never seen that anywhere else during my short run here at MW.
  13. *Cue Will Shatner voice* Well... Of course... He will. And... It will leave... Us... All saying... *Bruce Willis* Yippeekiyay, mothaf*cka.
  14. I figured he used some sort of knockoff and Lego was used as a blanket term... I didn't know he actually used Legos.
  15. HOLY SHEIST, HE ACTUALLY USED LEGOS?! Friggin Danish... Er Japanese... Lego Master Builders... (Lego's based in Denmark.)
  16. For everyone's reference: C:\program files\microsoft games\microsoft flight simulator x\simobjects\airplanes is where you copy the folder containing the plane and its necessary files and folders. So, the YF-19 would be C:\program files\microsoft games\microsoft flight simulator x\simobjects\airplanes\YF-19 And, if you're really good, you can edit the CFG file to your liking for performance and, if you have them, new textures.
  17. Funny that you mention styrene. You can make Super Napalm, or Napalm-B, out of Polystyrene and low-octane gasoline. The stuff eats plastic (And skin), but has no effect on paper or metal. It also removes paint, especially if it's a plastic-based paint, like an arcryllic. However, if you're not EXTREMELY careful, you'll leave an unwanted "weathering" mark.
  18. Well, they're covering all the bases. First, speaker boobs, then laser boobs, then GG and LAI stole their thunder with the nosecone boob, now all that they need is a set of rocket boobs, and their work will be COMPLETE!
  19. T-80's a generic term used to describe a Russian-designed tank... And the 0 had a 35 mm gunpod. They are both hard to keep on target (I will elaborate further on), and they both shoot faster than their ammo count, which equals Anime Magic in the amount of times they can fire... This is good example, though I thought the A-10 had 4600 RPM. I dunno. Well, actually, 55mm is bigger than any round being fielded today(By fighters)... By a whole lot. (Even the A-10) The M-61 Vulcan (Which is the gun in use on most of the USAF/USN arsenal) fires 20mm rounds. These shred armor pretty damn fast. To put this into perspective, 20mm is about an inch. Therefore, the round is about an inch in width. 55mm is over two inches. This is huge. The A-10 fires 30mm rounds. This is just over an inch. 30mm shreds a tank. 55mm is actually closer to ship-grade autocannon caliber than anything. So, even with only one or 2 hits, that SV-51 is definitely down. So, why then, did a Regult take an entire belt before the pilot stepped out?
  20. Idol singer's overused. Actor's the new thing!
  21. That said, we never actually see the RVF-25 (Or the ELINT Seeker) in atmospheric flight. Ever. I'd assume the amount of drag it generates when rolling is pretty bad... ... Wow... So, MAXL replacement? I can hear Vostok now: "Hey, is that MAXL? No... No it's not... Does that mean, since it's not Mylene, I can- MYLENE?! WHERE'D YOU GET THAT, YOUNG LADY!"
  22. One of my favorites: The FS2004 VF-1S which is compatible with FSX, as well. (Transforming) Another, The YF-19, also compatible with FSX Then, of course, there's a whole world of stuff for YSFlight, so I'd check that out.
  23. Macross Plus Happy? It's even got a movie... I say the inverse should be true. Main character's a female who can't sing, but is a Valk ace. She encounters (And falls in love with) two men, one an aspiring young actor (or something...), the other a valk ace, himself.
