    Well, there were many many songs that didnt make it into the game, unfortunately. In fact, most songs werent in the game. I suppose Voices might seem a little slow and soft for a support song in the middle of a battle. On the otherhand, artdink has always encouraged players to use the custom soundtrack feature, so I think the idea was that Macross fans could build the tracklist that they wanted. The pre-existing songs in-game were meant more of a sampler imo.

    Wow! This thread has gone from a podcast thread to Renato's Macross 30 sales pitch thread! But in all seriousness, it's a fun game. And probably the best Macross game we will ever get. The mysterious German stranger who emerged during the recording session may never be explained I'm afraid. It's best to leave him to go on his way. maybe we will cross paths again. I wish thee well, mysterious German MC. Many thanks for the podcast suggestions! We will definitely take them onboard! Heeeeeeeey... I LIKED the PS2 game! (then again, maybe I'm biased...) It didnt have the best controls but after getting used to it i thought it played pretty well. And not to be nit-picky, but the previous Artdink titles were technically on the PSP, not the Vita (and are not legally playable on the Vita as far as I know). While a single analogue stick isnt the best control option, the fact of the market was that handhelds were more popular than home consoles in japan (and still are). So releasing on that platform maximized their sales and Macross' exposure which was a good thing :-) I do wish they would release a digital version of the PSP titles though so ppl could play them with a PS3 controller. Unfortunately, that's never going to happen. :-( Everyone, let's sing it together now!

That's right. All of them. On a technical note, this is the first time we've attempted a skype-cast (Andrew was too much of a cheapskate to fly to Japan to record :-p ). As such, we had technical difficulties galore. Apart from synching issues, the Levelator completely destroyed the sound quality of the final version. As a result, I the version I've posted has not been..err…Levelatored. But, since it's a skype-cast, the levels were a little more uniform to begin with. I know some of our listeners have rather sensitive ears, but please bear with us because you might find some of the cast interesting :-)

    As has been pointed out, the article says NOTHING even remotely approximating 'two years'. All it says is that it is in the planning stages　- which isnt exactly news to be honest. Remember, the original announcement didnt even say they had started pre-planning. Just that a new tv series had been greenlit. But we know its coming. It's been greenlit, so it's 100% happening. It's not like Macross would ever sink low enough to rely on a Kickstarter.

    DYRL Shoulderpads/Chest Units will be available at the upcoming Summer Wonderfest on July 27. These were first sold at Winter Wonderfest earlier in the year. Once the existing units sell out, that's it. No more will be made, as far as I'm aware. As some may recall from Winter Wonderfest, this item was overseen by renown Macross artist Hidetaka Tenjin and are VERY limited in number. I know several MW members have already purchased these and I've heard nothing but positive feedback regarding them. We also discussed the shoulder pads on the SpeakerPODcast immediately after the last Wonderfest. I am able to accept requests from anyone interested in purchasing one of these and will be attempting to fill requests on a first-come-first-served basis (depending on demand at Wonderfest, there's no guarantee that all requests will be able to be filled). Price: 39800yen plus postage & paypal fees. (the kit has been tweaked over the last 6 months and now comes partially assembled) Anyone interested, please PM by JULY 19th at the ABSOLUTE LATEST. (Please note, that I'm going to be picking up shoulder pads ONLY and am not accepting orders for any other Wonderfest items.)

    Guys, guys, patience! The announcement merely said that they had decided to do a new series. The fact that there wasn't a title, a logo, or any pre-production work to go along with the announcement means that they were no doubt in the very very early stages of preproduction. It's coming. Thats a fact. And when theres anything to report, our comrades in Macross here at MW will be the first to know. This isn't some dubious kickstarter. It's locked in and is real. The wait may be long but at least we know theres going to be something at the end thats worth waiting for. In the meantime, theres no better way to wait this out than by contemplating the sheer awesomeness of this picture.

    Unfortunately, Japanese box sets - niche ones at least - rarely go down in price. If anything, they usually get MORE expensive due to limited print runs (ie, like the lmt ed DYRL boxset). The best deals can usually be had by preordering (preorder discounts and the like).

Anyone wondering why Arcadia isn't releasing this obviously isnt listening to the SpeakerPODcast! lol SAVE visited the Arcadia office late last year and confirmed this very issue - the 19 as it appears in Mac F is an entirely different license.     By way of explanation, it's basically an introduction to what Macross 2 is - for all those new Frontier younglings. Was release by BW to coincide with the theatrical screening a couple of weeks back. Boxart finally hit the webs a couple of days back.
