Gah, the first movie may well have been one of the worst recap movies I have ever seen. .....at least I got to see the trailer for movie 2 on the big screen though. IMO, FB7 had more enjoyment and reasons to watch than this did. Ugh.

Yamato Crew version. It was the least hassle - it just turned up on my doorstep :-) For those asking, this is a collection of Nobuteru's key frame work. So no, no mecha. But damn he did a LOT of work - so many iconic character scenes...

Just got my hands on these two monstrous tomes. So much in here, including (at first glance) a few deleted scenes. Really highlights just how much work Nobuteru put into the show. Very very humbling stuff.

I picked up the DVD second hand from an amazon seller a couple of years back so there's still copies lying around if you hunt a bit. The great thing about the subbed version is that you realize who the REAL enemy in the show is (they removed this from the dub for...probably good reason).

Saw ep 4 at the cinema last weekend. Was decent - definitely the closest they have come to a S.A.C story yet (not yet at those lofty heights of awesomeness tho). The bigger news tho is that after the end credits there was an announcement for a new movie. All it said was 'New Ghost in the Shell animated feature coming 2015.' No word on whether it will be ARISE or something else.

Digitally preordered from US PSN so in theory the game should already be downloaded and waiting for me when I get home tonight (doesn't officially come out here in Japan for another 2 days). Gotta love modern tech sometimes :-)
