    But Bandai already DOES have the VF-0 and VF-4 license for the HMR line. And they've showed mockups at Tamashii Nations. Of course, they will never make it to market if other releases in the line don't meet their business projections. Licenses are different depending on scale and format(toy or model). And what Arcadia does has very little impact on Bandai. While there is some overlap they also target quite different markets. It's kinda like comparing Figmas to Hot Toys. So, long story short, support your chosen line and there's a good chance you'll get what you want. There's no need to wish ill on Arcadia. And even better, everyone wins!

    The main thing I'd say that needs to be kept in mind is that Macross was never meant to be viewed in a vacuum. It has always been a multimedia franchise, with different aspects of each entry being covered by animation, audio dramas, novels, manga, games, and even events. These elements are all 'canon' within the greater universe (although that term in general should be avoided when it comes to Macross) and many came out around the same time as each other. For example, it's very difficult to understand the chemistry between Hikaru and Minmay without listening to the audio dramas. Similarly, many elements of both M7 and MF would be left unknown without each series respective audio dramas. And there's more material to Macross 2 outside of the medium of animation than there is within it. Much of this content was written by the orriginal authors and is also often plot threads or details that were originally written but not animated. Now, you could argue that you are watching the show in a vacuum because the animation is all that's available to you and I don't think there's any problem with that. But it's best to keep in mind that this means your understanding of characters and motivations may differ from what the creators intended or the audience in Japan knows because you don't have access to all facets of the story as it was intended to be consumed.

    We always welcome submissions from fellow Macross fans :-) Now that you mention it, I'm not sure whether I did. Basically, by the time we got to the signing session on Day 2, Kawamori recognised me from the night before and was like 'wait...you again?' ^^; Alrighty everyone, with DELTA due to it in just two weeks time, I have an idea I'd like to bounce off y'all. The SpeakerPODcast Crew have tics to the theatrical prescreening of Delta on 12/26. We will be recording impressions immediately after, aiming to have a cast posted within 24hrs. In other words, 4 days before the tv special on 12/31. Now, once the special has aired, everyone will be talking about it so I'd like to do a second cast on it without repeating ourselves. That's where everyone here comes in. Once people have seen the first episode (I'm sure there will be 'methods' and those 'fansub' thingies I hear rumours of but that would never ever be linked to here on the forums in any way ^^; ) I'd like anyone interested to record a short piece on their impressions/thoughts/speculations and send it to me. I will then stitch these together into a cast. Interested? Heres the details. Deadline: January 10, 2016 Format: MP3. If you use Audacity to record, please don't forget to convert it to MP3 before sending. Length: 5 - 7 mins.
