  1. Any news on this project? Well, in the last picture he actually focused exactly on Minmay's T&A (plus Legs)...
  2. Really? Are we talking about a new TV series? If there is indeed truth in this, it's a great piece of news! By the way, I think this is the best manga master Mikimoto has ever done, bar none.
  3. Comparison pic between HiMetal 1/100 and Yamato 1/60 v2. Note: the "neck ugliness" of my 1/60 is mitigated by leaving the chest plate slightly up
  4. The color Misa is an homage to an old Mikimoto Ishtar And this "dress/bra falling" thing is becoming really annoying. Anyway, eagerly waiting for my copy of #5 and #6. I hear there are marvellous battle scenes to behold.
  5. Now I feel ashamed . Err... forgive me, I only own the Bandai Reissues (1990 Super 1S and Origin of Valkyrie 1J). Well, the VF19 Hi-Metal is leaps and bounds superior to anything ever done before and even the VF1, from a design point of view, is superior to the Yamatos. For me, at least.
  6. You must have misanderstood me. I was only implying that Itano must have obviously been proud and glad to have been paid homage to in such a good (and true) science fiction movie (one that follows the lesson of Blade Runner). I would. And that seems to be what he also said in the linked interview. By the way, I googled a bit and found out the director specifically stated in the director's comment on the dvd that he was ispired by Macross (through Robotech, obviously)
  7. I think he likes it beacuse there is a clear Itano-Cyrcus homage scene in the film. When I was in the cinema, I sceamed Macrooooss!
  8. Both Bandai and Yamato have their pros and cons. For me, BAndai did it right the first time and from then on no other company - Bandai included - has ever bested the almost indestructible 1/55 "chunky monkey". Nice, quite posable, absolytely passes the test of time (heck, that toy is almost always on the market with reissues for a reason) and, for once, you can play with it with your children without worrying that it breaks just by watching it! A perfect blend of toy and display piece. You can't ask for more. Unless, of course, you don't like it.
  9. I like all the Macross toys I own, no matter how ugly they can be in other's eyes
  10. I know Mikimoto loves to draw girls, but a cover with a Valkyrie or two wouldn't be bad.
  11. Forgive me, 'm back from a long trip!
  12. Sometimes people seem to forget there's an official Macross F site out there. MF Movie BD site and MF news In short: BD and DVD out October 7. 13. Actually, I only bought them exactly because they CAN'T transform. Look at GNU YF21/Yf19 battroids and their 1/60s transforming counterparts and you can see that a battroid lover has a really easy choice to make. As for the banprestos, I've seen some on ebay going from 36 to 46 $ (still up for purchase). But, honestly, they are noth worth more than 5$.
  14. Thant's what confused me, thanks.
  15. [quote name='MacrossJunkie' date='19 July 2010 - 12:49 PM' timestamp='1279561752' post='862168' What do you mean by angled? I've seen in certain review pictures the nosecone in battroid seems slightly bent outward, implying that in can be moved somehow. If I find the pictures in my hard disk I'll try to post them.
  16. Somehow this whole "we'll do better next time" is beginning to kill my enthusiasm. Anyway, I have high hopes for this battroid-centric potential beauty, but it has to be really good looking, or my already big collection of fire valkyries will have to do without their 1/60 cousin.
  17. Nope, but Jenius got a missing part (see the article on his site) and mine had the left shoulder mechanism inverted.
  18. Point 10 is merely utopic. The only "cheap" valkyrie around are the Toynamis and the Revoltechs.
  19. Look here for a picture review of the Blazer VF19S picture review Since I only really care for battroid mode, so far the Hi-Metal line delivered for me!
  20. Is it true that in Battroid the front part of the cockpit (the nosecone in fighter mode) can be angled?
  21. Is it only me or that pilot is mostly white??? The fighter looks good, can't wait for Battroid pictures (I already know I won't resist the urge to buy this toy for much longer...)
  22. Looks cool! So it's confirmed it comes with the dispaly base, right?
  23. It's indeed yellow on the cover of Ace #1 but... I never did like that yellow shoulders paired with the red helmet, to be honest, so I just wanted to give TV colors to the flight suit to see what it would be. Call it a "what if" (I would also like to paint Roy's suit black, grey and blue instead of the DYRL style white and yellow)
  24. Besides, the valkyrie in the picture is a VF1 and not a VF19.
